Q1. How to get updated information on SET-2011? Ans. By visiting the site http://www.wbcsc.ac.in, a candidate can keep himself / herself acquainted with the updated information on SET-2011. Q2. What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in the SET -2011 exams? Ans. The Eligibility Criteria are as follows: Masters Degree in the concerned Subject with at least 55% Marks (50% Marks in respect of SC/ST/PH/VH Candidates) or an equivalent grade preceded by at least a Second Class 3-year Honours from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University. As per UGC Guidelines, Candidates pursuing a UGC specified P.G. Degree are also eligible to appear at SET subject to the condition that they must obtain their P.G. Degrees within two years from the date of holding of the SET. Candidates are advised to appear in the subject of their post-graduation only. There is no upper age limit for appearing at the SET. However, for the purpose of recruitment concerned Govt. Order will apply. Q3. What is the last date for filling up online-registration for SET 2011? Ans. 14.10.2011 Q4. Q6. How can one submit the Application fees for SET-2011? Ans. The fees can be deposited at any branch of SBI using the Payment Challan generated during online Registration within 14.10.2011. The candidates should send the WBCSCs copy in original along with the application printout to WBCSCs office.

Q7. What are the Specification of Photograph and Signature to be uploaded? Ans. Size limit is 300KB. The acceptable format for the scanned image of the photograph and the signature would be JPEG / JPG and the image should be scanned using 200 DPI resolution.

Q11. How would I get the admit card for SET-2011? Ans. Candidates must remain in constant touch with commissions website http://www.wbcsc.ac.in for information regarding the Written Test/Admit Card/Result etc.

Q12. From when can I get the admit Card for SET-2011? Ans. Candidates will get the admit cards 03(Three) weeks ahead from the date of Examination. The candidates are advised to check the website http://www.wbcsc.ac.in for updates.

Q13. May I appear for the SET-2011 examination without my Admit Card? Ans. No candidate is allowed to appear for the SET-2011 exam without an admit card.

Q14. How to enter the % of marks for Graduation / Post Graduation Courses? Ans. The Candidate should enter % of Marks as per his/her Mark sheet/Result. Example: if the candidate has secured 54% in Graduation and 60.08% in Masters, he / she should enter 54 and not 60.08 respectively.

Q15. How can I update the payment details? Ans. To update the payment details a candidate should log in to the Online Examination portal by visiting the website, http://www.wbcsc.ac.in and selecting

the SET-2011 (Online Registration) link. Then the user should re-login to the portal by selecting Existing User link and providing the Registration No and the Password.

Q16. I have appeared for my Post graduation Exams. However the results are yet to be published. Can I appear for SET-2011 exams? Ans. Yes.

Q17.I have misplaced my Application printout. Can I reprint the same? Ans. Yes. The candidate must re-login and use the View & Print Application option to take a re-print of the application form.

Q18. What is the correct process to upload files (photo and Signature) ? Ans. First ensure that you have uploaded your photo & signature before clicking on Complete Registration Button. If you do not have one of these files (photo and Signature) while doing online registration, just upload the file you have and close the window and DO NOT click on Complete Registration. You can upload the file again by re-login to the portal. If you want verify the uploaded files (photo and Signature) please click Show uploaded files. If you have uploaded wrong file re-upload the correct file by clicking Upload Photo or Upload Signature as the case may be. Once you click on Complete Registration Button, you can NOT upload any files further.

Q19. I have mistakenly uploaded My Signature file against the Photograph and my Photograph against the signature / I have uploaded a wrong Photograph/Signature. What should I do? Ans. You should contact respective authority.
