What’s New in DocCapture Ver1.

1>Batch Receiving:
1.1 No change at operation lavel.

1.2 Corrected some misspelled labels on the form of Batch and Box forms.

Batch-Collection of thousand Policies means 10 boxes.

2. Scanning

2.1 Corrected label ‘Select Batch ‘ to ‘Select a Box’ to scan.

be checked or unchecked as required. Previously these options were not
configurable and ‘ON’ by default. (See the image below)

3 QC
3.1 New tool is added to compress image to reduce the size of the image. One
Menu is added, named, Compress with two submenus (As per the image below)
3.1.1 Compress-> it will compress the current images to specified size.(Default
50 KB.)
3.1.2 Compress Size-> Size of image to compress can specify the size for current
image in KB.

1.Click on Compress->Compress to keep the image


to specified size.
2.Select Compress->Compress Size, it will ask user
to put the size he wants to keep for this image.
5 Index -
5.1 UnDo – Undo option is added in Edit menu. It helps the user to correct his
last activity that he has done wrongly. Click on Edit and select Undo, it will cancel last
activity. Ctrl+Z is shortcut key for the same.

5.2 New option to mark an indexing record electronically is introduced. User can
give his Comment for current image for final qc operator. The given comments can be
listed in front of the final qc operator and can be corrected if there is any problem.

5.3 A new information label is given at the indexing window that gives
information about the policy, document and no of pages indexed. This information can be
useful for indexing operator to check whether he has indexed the image correctly or not.

Edit-> Undo Ctrl+Z option is used to undo the last activity. Click
Key Ctrl and Z to do same activity through Keyboard.

6. Retrieval (Final QC)

6.1 A new button, Remark is added. Select Batch and Box from the list, Click on
Remark button, on the right side of screen. It will display all the comments given by
indexing operator related to that box. Final QC operator can observe the remarks and can
perform corrective action by double clicking on that remark. The specific record will be
loaded in Tree View of the retrieval so user can directly move to remarked image for
which rectification/modification or any change is required ( It will marked Rectified
when he double clicks the record.)

6.2 Insert Image Menu (Right Click on Image)
6.2.1. Insert - Image – Scan
User can directly scan the page; it will append the page that can be
rearranged further, if required.
6.2.2. Insert Image->From File
User can insert pages exists in tiff file. In this case open dialog box
will open; from there the file can be selected.

File or through scanning.
6.3 New Croping options is introduced under Enhancement option which comes
after right clicking on Image
Crop Images-> Select Area F1- Image can be selected for trim by
selecting Select Area Option that can be done by pressing F1 also.

7. Administrator Menu

7.1 Under Admin menu, Report option is added to take report of the indexed
information with an exceptional list (Doubtful Cases i.e. Policy Bond not exists or not
equal to 4 pages, Signature page not exists or not equal to 1 page etc.)
7.2 Click on Report option, It will show Report generation form where after
selection of particular batch and clicking on Display Button, Reports can be viewed.
Click on Generate Button to generate Report in Excel file which will be generated under
C:\Batch_name.XLS

detail.

3. To take report, Click on Generate Report
