FIFTH.Conditionsforparticipation 1.willberejectedregistrationformsillegible,incompleteorreceivedafterthedeadlines. 2.Theparticipantsarerequiredtochecktheiridentitydocumentsnecessaryfortheorganization. 3.Theorganizersreservetherighttoverify,bymeansnecessary,theidentityoftheparticipants. 4.Inanycasethesamepersonmayparticipateinmorethanonecomputer.Doingsowillmeanthe eliminationofcompetitionfrombothteamsinwhichthepersonwasregistered.Inaddition,thepersonwill bebannedtoparticipateinthefutureinanyofthecompetitionsorganizedbyESIC. 5.Theorganizershavenoresponsibilityforaccesstotheserverswheretheywillconductcompetitionand isproducedbyfaultsinwiring,inenrrutadores;infirstlevelnodes,oranyothercause. 6.ParticipationinGLOBALMARKETINGCOMPETITIONimpliesexpressacceptanceoftheserules,the participants'behaviorcodethatisdescribedinAnnexOneofthisdocumentandthetechnicalcriteriafor programmingandthecompetitionprocess. 7.Anyviolationoftherules(rules,codeofconductandregulation)ofthecompetitionwillleadtothe eliminationoftheparticipantand/orequipmentinquestion. 8.Anycomplaintsabouttheperformanceofteamsandtheirclassifications,andanyothermatterrelated tothedevelopmentofcompetition,sobesettledwithoutappealbytheOrganizationandinaccordance withthecriteriaestablishedintherulesdepositednotary. 9.Theorganizersreservetherighttoexpelanyteamshouldidentifyanyirregularitiesbeforeorduring competition. 10.Theorganizationaldecisionsarefinalandnoappealbytheteams. FIFTH.TheDynamicsofCompetition Thiscompetitionwillhave2stages: 1.Stageonline.Itwillrunfromthebeginningtothestagepriortothefinal.Contestantsteamsdevelop differentstagesofthecompetitionthroughthenetwork,accordingtowhatisexplainedinthefollowing paragraphs. 2.Phaseface,appliesonlytothefinalists,andwilldevelopthecitythattheorganizationreportsontime. Methodology Referredtoas"COMPANY"toeachparticipatingteam.Eachteamwillparticipateinthevariousstagesofthe contest,inarealmarketmadeupofsixcompaniesincludinghisown,andtobeknownasSimulation." TherewillbethreemaingroupsSIMULATIONS GPA:LATINANDAMERICA GPB:EUROPE,MIDDLEEASTandAFRICA GPC:ASIA,OCEANIA Eachcompanymustdevelopamanagementplanforthehorizonofoneyearfromthesamesituation (balancesheet)andwiththesamedata(STAGE). forwardingtherestoftheteamthedocumentationprovidedbytheorganization.Theorganizationisnot liableincasethechargedoesnotfulfillitscommitmenttokeepyourteaminformedoftheconditionsand otheraspectsofthecompetition. Theorganizationprovidesinformationviaemailtheuser(USERNAME&PASSWORD)requiredtoaccessthe simulatorateachparticipatingteamresponsibleforthebeginningofeachstageofthecompetition. Afterprocessinginthesimulatorthedecisionsmadebytheteams,theresultswillbeactivatedsothat participantscanaccessthemwithyouruserinformation(USERNAME&PASSWORD).Eachfirmknowthe resultsofitscompetitors,exceptthosethatcanbeobtainedthroughmarketresearchstudies. Inviewoftheseresults,participantsmustdevelopanewmanagementplanforanewyear,whichresultsin somenewresults,whichfollowthesameprocessasabove. Calendar Ingeneralscheduleidentifiesthestartandendofthecompetitionanddescribestheoperatingmethodof receivingandprocessingthedecisionsoftheparticipantsandenablingaccesstotheresultsbythe ComputerCenter. Theoveralltimetableisindicativeandmayvarythedatesofdeliveryandreceiptofresults,dependingon thegroupthathasbeenassignedtoeachoftheteams.Thefinalscheduleofeachgroupwillbenotifiedby theorganizationbeforethecompetitionstarts. Receivingdecisions Onlineinphases,decisionsmustbemadebefore(TIMETOBECONFIRMED)MadridGMTthedayprescribed intheschedule.Wedonotacceptdelaysandtheorganizationisnotliablefordefects.Theclosingtimemay beadvancedtoordelayediftheorganizationitsawfit. Activationoftheresults Onlineinphases,theactivationofresultswillbeheldat(TIMETOBECONFIRMED)GMTMadridappointed dayinthecalendar.Theclosingtimemaybeadvancedordelayediftheorganizationitsawfit. CompetitionStages Thecompetitionhasfourstages: FinalRound:3ManagementPlans. Quarterfinals:6PlansofManagement. Semifinal:7ManagementPlans. Final:Defenseofabusinessplanofthedecisionstakenatthesemifinalstagebeforethejury(inperson). Attheendofeachphase,thegamewillstartagain,althoughtheteamswillbereorganizedintonew simulator.

ClassificationCriteria TheclassificationsystemisgivenbyProfit,whichcorrespondstothesumofprofitineachphase.Eachphase willbeginwithzeroprofit. MaximumProfitgivetheteamthathasachievedthefirstpositionandthus,inorderfromlargestto smallest,untiltheteamthatobtainedthelowestineachphase. WillqualifyfortheSemifinal: GPA:The12teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofit. GPB:The12teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofit GPC:The12teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofit IfusingthismethodisnotyetpossibletocompletethethirtysixteamsintheSemifinals,theorganization reservestherighttousethemethoditconsidersappropriate. WillqualifyfortheFinal: GPA:The2teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofitofeachsimulationgroup. GPB:The2teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofitofeachsimulationgroup. GPC:The2teamswithhighestaccumulatedprofitofeachsimulationgroup. Ifusingthismethodstillcannotcompletethe6teamsintheFinal,theorganizersreservetherighttouse themethoditconsidersappropriate. FinalPositions Thefinalpositionsaredecidedbythecompetitionjury,havingheardthedefenseofthebusinessplan. Ifatanystagedetectsthattheorganizationisnotparticipatingteamwillbeeliminated. Finalofthecompetition ThefinalGLOBALMARKETINGCOMPETITIONcharacterwillface,andgovernedbythefollowingstructure andrules: Theorderofpresentationwillberandom. Therewillbetwoshiftsofexposure,eachshiftshallconsistofthreeteams. Themaximumlengthofexposurewillbetwenty(20)minutesperteamandten(10)minutesforquestions askedbythejuryifsorequired. Thecontentsoftheexhibitionwillbeabusinessplanthatwillhavetodefendthedecisionstakenatthe semifinalstage. Allteammembersarerequiredtoattendandexposingpartofthebusinessplan.Ifateammembercould notappear(exceptforcemajeure)finalistteam,wouldbereplacedbytheteamthatgotinhisGPthenext coupleProfit. ThedefensebusinessplanwillbepresentedinEnglishorCastilian. Teamsmayusethecomputerorvisualmeanstheydeemappropriate. Oncethedefensebusinessplanforequipment,jurorswillmeettodeliberateanddecidethefinal standings.Thatdecisionisfinal. BothforthedefenseoftheBusinessPlantotheactoftheawardsceremonyparticipantsmustbedressed appropriately.Menwithsuitcoatsandtiesandwomenwithequivalent

SIXTH.Careparticipants Attentiontotheparticipantshallbeconductedonlythroughemail,whichtheorganizationwillprovidean emailaccounttocontacttheparticipant'sattention. Theresolutionofpossiblequerieswillbeansweredassoonaspossible.However,theorganizationreserves therightnottoanswerifitdeemsthatsucharesponsegivestheteamacompetitiveadvantageoverother participants. SEVENTH.Descriptionofprize Theawardsofthe2012editionofGLOBALMARKETINGCOMPETITION,are: [I]Travelforallteammembersforthreedaysinwhichthecitywilldevelopthefinalofthecompetition.The nameofthatcitywillbeinformedinduetotheparticipatingteams. Thetripincludes: 1.returnticketineconomyclasstothedestinationcity. 2.Accommodation 3.Breakfast Theprizedoesnotincludeotherconceptssuchaspersonalexpenses. [II]MSinESICBUSINESS&MARKETINGSCHOOLforeachfinalistteammembers,rankedfirst.The enrollmentoftheMaster,equivalent1000euros(1000)willbepaidbyparticipants. ThemastercanbemadeonanycitywhereESIChastrainingcenters.Intheeventthatthemasterisin English,shouldbeundertakenonlyinMadrid. Themastermustbeenjoyedimmediatelyfollowingthecall(OctoberorJanuary)theconclusionofthefinal. WinnersmustmeettheacademicconditionsrequiredbyESICBusiness&MarketingSchool. [III]Cashprizes FirstTeamQualified:12.000 SecondTeamQualified:6.000 ThirdTeamQualified:3.000 Rankedfourthteam:2.000 Rankedfifthteam:1.000 Rankedsixthteam:600 Cashprizesareuniquenumbersforeachteam,tobesharedamongallteammembers,astheyseefit. *Thereisaretentionof18%ofthevalueoftheprizemoneyfortheTreasury. Intheeventthatthewinningteamoroneofitsmembersdidnotaccepttheprize,orfailstocomplywith therequirementsoftheserulesanditscodeofconduct,sothattheorganizationeventuallydecidednotto granttheaward,orforanyotherreasonisunabletoreceiveit,theOrganizationreservestherightto declareitvoid.

EIGHTH.Conditionsoftheawards Ifforanyreasonoutsidetheorganization,hadnotplannedavailabilityofprizes,theOrganizationreserves therighttosubstituteothersofequalorhighercost. Prizesarenontransferable. Prizescannotberedeemedforcashorforanyotherprize. Itisforbiddentomarketand/orsaleoftheprizes. TheOrganizationisnotresponsiblefortheuseoftheprizesdothewinners Itisstronglyrecommendedthatyoufindoutthewinnersofthecityinwhichitwasmade,andifnecessary, obtaintheirowntravelinsurance,havingavalidpassportandallnecessarytraveldocumentation.Inany caseSchoolofSalesandMarketingManagementwillnotassumeanyresponsibilityforthelackofinsurance ordocumentationpreviouslyrequired. Alltaxesandfeesrelatedtoawardofthispromotionorthoseadditionalcostsordelaymotivatedby negligenceofthewinners,willberealizedunlessheotherwisewouldhaveexpresslystatedintheserules. Shallbebornebythewinnersallexpensesrelatedtoupgradesandextrasthatdonotcorrespondwiththe prizedetailedintheserules. InaccordancewiththerulesoftheIncomeTaxofIndividuals,awardsforparticipationingames,contests, sweepstakes,orrandomcombinationsrelatedtothesaleorpromotionofgoodsorservicesaresubjectto withholdingorincomeonaccountprovidedthattheprizevalueexceeds300Euro. EIGHTH.ImageRights ThewinnersauthorizetheSchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESICtoreproduceanduseyour nameandotherdata,anditsimageinanycontestrelatedactivityorESIC,withoutsuchuseremuneration rightconferredoranybenefitwiththeexceptionoftheawardsobtained.Winnersexpresslyauthorizethe CollegeofBusinessManagementandMarketingESICforthepurposeofpublishingbothyournameastheir surnameintherespectivewebsite. NINTH.INTELLECTUALPROPERTY Thecontestantsassignallrightsofexploitationonitswork,theresultofthecompetition,without compensationofanykind,GraduateSchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESIC,especiallythe rightsofreproduction,distribution,processingandpubliccommunicationexclusivelywithpower transferredtothirdparties,andthroughouttheperiodallowedbyapplicablelaw.Thescopeofthe assignmentisglobal. TENTH.LimitationofLiability Inadditiontothealreadyestablishedonthelimitationofliability,GraduateSchoolofBusiness ManagementandMarketingESICisnotresponsiblefor: Bytheuseoftheprizethatthewinnerscando. Forservicesthatthirdpartiesshouldpaythewinners,relativetothecompetitionprizes. Bythelatewinnerinthewithdrawaloftheprizeaccordingtotheinstructionsprovidedbythe organization. Fortheincidentsthatmayoccurduringthejourneytothecityinwhichhemadethefinalofthe competition,includingincidencesofairlines,airports,andingeneralforanyincidentoccurringduringthe trip,eitherinpublicplacesorplaceaccommodation,andinwhichtheorganizationhasnoresponsibilityin thatcapacity.

ELEVENTH.ReservationofRights Inadditiontothoseprovidedinpreviousclauses,onthereservedrightsoftheorganization: SchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESICreservestherighttodisqualifythosewhoare misusingthecompetition,makingfraudulentordetrimentaltootherparticipants.IftheSchoolofBusiness ManagementandMarketingoranyentitywhichislinkedtothesecompetingprofessionallydetectany anomaliesorsuspectthataparticipantispreventingthenormaldevelopmentofit,alteringitsexposure throughanycomputerresource,orconductinganyfraudulentactsthatcontraveneitstransparency, GraduateSchoolofSalesandMarketingManagementreservestherighttodisqualifyandevencollectthe prizesautomaticallyandwithoutexplanationofanykind,toallthoseparticipantswhohavebenefited directlyorindirectlythistypeoffraudulentbehaviorandmayalsoexerciseallcivilorcriminalactionsthat maybeappropriate.ThesamepenaltyappliestothosewhoviolatetheCodeofConductofthecompetition thatisprovidedinAnnexOne. Inthissense,GraduateSchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESICstatesthathasestablishedthe appropriatemechanismsandtechnologicalsupporttodetectanypossiblefraudulentconduct,orintentional anomalousthatseektoalterthenormalparticipation. SchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESICreservestherighttochangeoraddattachmentson themechanicsandsubsequentawardsofthecompetitionprovidedthattheyarejustifiedornotharmto participants,andcommunicatethemproperly. Ifthecompetitioncannotbeperformedeitherbyfrauddetected,technicalerrors,oranyotherpurpose thatisnotcontrolledbySchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketingESIC,andwhichaffectsthenormal developmentofit,HighSchoolBusinessManagementandMarketingESICreservestherighttocancel, modify,orsuspend,withoutrequiringparticipantstoliability. TWELFTH.Otherconsiderations "Theclaimsperiodending2calendardayssinceitwasmadeknowntheresult. "Thehelpofteachersorpeopleoutsidethegroupshouldbelimitedtogeneralinformation.Ifthe organizationdeemsexcessiveaidwillconsidertheexpulsionoftheteam. "Teammembersarenotallowedtocontactjournalistsormediawithouttheexpresspermissionofthe organization.Otherwise,theorganizationwillconsidertheexpulsionoftheteam. Teamsregisteredforwhateverreasoncannotcontinueincompetition,theyshouldcommunicatetotheir lowglobalmarketingcompetition@esic.es THIRTEENTH.PrivacyPolicy PersonaldatawillbecollectedbyEscuelaSuperiordeGestinComercialyMarketingESICforthepurposeof managingtheparticipationanddevelopmentofthecompetition,thereforethedataforregistrationmustbe truthful.

SIXTEENTH.AcceptanceofrulesandJurisdiction Participationinthiscompetitionimpliesfullacceptanceoftheserulesandsubmissionexpressesthe interpretivedecisionsmadebythesameSchoolofBusinessManagementandMarketing.Itmayrequesta writtenwinnersacceptingalltermsandconditionsofcompetition.Alldisputesarisingundertheserules, shallbesettledbytheCourtsofMadrid. ANNEXONE:CODEOFCONDUCT COMPETITIONThebusinessmarketingisveryproudofthequalityofitscompetitors,institutions, organizationsandothercommunitymembersinvolvedintheevent. Tomakethecompetitionanenjoyableexperienceforeveryone,organizersrequirethatcompetitorsadhere toasetofguidelinesknownastheCodeofConduct. Thepurposeofthiscodeistoclarifyexpectationsandidentifyactionsthatareregardedasviolationsand thusassistthecompetitorsintheunderstandingoftheconsequencesoftheiractions. Thesestandardsapplytoallthecompetitors: competitorsareexpectedtoabidebytherulesandbasesofthecompetitionandacceptthedecisionsit takesaccordingtotheorganizingcommittee. competitorsareexpectedtoshowrespectforotherparticipants(facephase),staff,volunteersandother membersoftheorganization,displayingthenecessarydecorumataneventinthiscategory. disrespecttoothercompetitors(forattendancephases),staff,volunteersandothermembersofthe organizationandanyotherbehaviordeemeddetrimentalinfluencesthebestinterestsofthecompetition. Theuseofmobilephones,pagers(forpeople),radiosorothermeansofcommunicationwiththeoutside areprohibitedinthefaceofthecompetitionstages. Participantsmustagreetothedisposalinanystageofthecompetition,withdignity. VIOLATIONSOFTHECODEOFCONDUCT,RULESAND/ORRULESOFTHECOMPETITION Ifanyviolationoccursduringtheevent,theparticipantmustcomplyimmediatelywiththecode,rulesand/ orbasesofthecompetition.Thismustbedonewithoutdelayandthecodemustbemaintainedthereafter. PENALTIES Thefirstoffensemaywarrantawarningordisqualification,thesecondwillresultinimmediate disqualificationoftheparticipant. DISCIPLINARYACTIONS TheDirectorateofthecompetitionwillbethefinalauthorityindisciplinarymattersordisqualification.Its decisionsarefinalinallcases.
