To promote substance free, healthy, safe communities for our children, families and neighbors

(NCPW) was founded in 2010 to serve as a partnership between a broad spectrum of Clatsop County community leaders, private citizens, local & state government, and CONTACT US FOR MORE INFORMATION promote community-level change in the prevention of substance abuse. Reduce Underage Drinking Task Force
The mission of the Reduce Underage Drinking Task Force is to engage in activities that work toward the elimination of underage drinking in Clatsop County through the changing of community norms. The five goals of the Task Force are to Educate, Enlist, Engage, Enforce, and Evaluate. Strategies include, school and community presentations, retailer education, reward and reminder campaigns, community mobilization, youth activities, and minor decoy operations. The prescription subcommittee has also created community presentation on the dangers of prescription drug abuse that has been shared with several community groups and organizations. Warrenton Police Dept, Seaside Police Dept, and the Cannon Beach Police Depart.

Tobacco Free Coalition


The Tobacco Free Coalition focuses on reducing the health and economic consequences that are attributed to tobacco. The coalition does this by creating smoke free environments, increasing access to cessation services and working to eliminate youth tobacco use.

Youth Suicide Prevention Task Force


The purpose of the YSPTF is to reduce suicide and suicide attempts among youth ages 15-24 by providing training and delivery of comprehensive suicide prevention and intervention skills programs and increasing public awareness of youth suicide and related risk factors. YSPTF works with schools and facilitates Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) programs in the community.
