Concept of active and passive equilibrium : Theories of the active and passive pressure of soils Behavior and design: - Massive retaining structures and retaining walls - Shallow foundations: bearing capacity and settlement - Deep foundations Engineering geology: application to the works, buildings, dams, tunnels... Types of ground movement, prevention and treatment. Concepts of rock mechanics: fracturing analysis, calculations of equilibrium.
