HR Asia Best Companies to work for in Asia 2012 (HR Asia Awards) recognises corporations who possess remarkable level of employee engagement and excellent workplace culture. It is rewarded to the exemplary few who are the employer of choice according to the survey findings as well as the accreditation of an independent judging panel. Our objective is to identify best workplaces across Asia, thus emphasising on the importance of employee engagement in achieving better business results.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
HR Asia has a group of HR experts, academics, journalists and government representatives, publishing HR insights periodically across Asia and constituting the framework and methodology of the Awards. Two surveys are first to be completed by the participating companies, with a minimum of 20 employees filling in HR Asia Employee Input Survey (EIS) and the HR Director / CEO completing HR Asia Workplace and Employee Engagement Survey (WEES) respectively. The research process utilised to determine best workplace across industry involves collecting information based on an Executive Summary, prepared anonymously, of every single qualified participant. The Report Generation and Comparison Chart of the EIS and the WEES Scores would also be provided as the aid for judges. The collected data is analysed against formulated criteria, which are weighed as appropriate based on the type of industry and market conditions. The awards winners will be selected across the criteria based on a set of qualitative and quantitative measurements.

HR ASIA AWARDS ELIGIbILITY


All companies in Asia with over 100 full-time equivalent employees and have been in operations for a minimum of 18 months at the time of submission are eligible to participate.

PARTICIPATION FEE
The participation fee is US$ 1,000 per company, which includes the HRAsia Employee Input SurveyTM (EIS), HR Asia Workplace and Employee Engagement SurveyTM (WEES), and HR Asia Best Companies to Workfor in Asia Report. You will also be invited to the Awards Presentation and Networking Luncheon of your market.

HR ASIA AWARDS FRAMEWORK


a. Employee Input Survey (EIS) This survey is designed to gauge the level of employee engagement and collect information about employees in terms of their motivation and advocacy of the company. It is completed by a statistically valid, random sample of employees. It only takes 15-30 minutes to complete per survey. b. Workplace Employee Engagement Survey (WEES) This survey is designed to collect senior managements philosophy and approach to talent management system. The information collected will be used for analysing the workplace culture and relationship between employee engagement and organisational performance. It only takes the HR Director or CEO 15-30 minutes to complete. *As HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2012 are for many companies an employer branding tool, the participation of the company is kept in utmost confidentially.

JUDGING
HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2012 will be judged by an independent panel of industry experts, academics, journalists and government representatives based on : HR Asia Employee Input Survey (EIS) HR Asia Workplace and Employee Engagement Survey (WEES) The judges will be presented with an Executive Summary of each qualified participant anonymously, the Report Generation and Comparison Chart of the EIS and the WEES Scores would also be provided to aid their judging.
