Proudly supports the horlick rebels!

Greetings and welcome to tonights ballgame!

This years Rebels have worked extremely hard over the off-season and throughout the heat of summer two-a-day practices. They have trained in the weight room and with field training exercises done on the beach including tire pulls, tractor tire flips, barrel throws, over-speed band training, and plyometrics. This season, we will continue to grow around a team that will give maximum effort on every play and make family, friends, alumni, and fans proud to support Rebel Football. As we continue to build the Rebel Program, we have the pieces in place to field a competitive team this year. We look forward to improvement each and every day as we strive to keep the strong tradition of Rebel football alive! We ask that you are positive and encouraging of our young athletes and encourage sportsmanship in the stands through leading by example. The Rebel football program made great strides throughout the off-season with improvements to the practice field & Fitness Center equipment courtesy of the Rebel Golf Outing Committee. The Rebel Machine Booster Club has also done a tremendous job this year making significant strides in the structure and organization of the club. They are a group of dedicated parents, friends, and family who work to provide Rebel Football Players and fans with a first class experience. If you have interest in helping out, please see one of the committee members in a red Rebel Machine Booster Club T-shirts. Enjoy tonights ballgame, and thank you for your support.

Go Rebels!

You may notice some of our football players wearing the H & Sabers decals on their helmets this evening. These young men have worked hard this year and have earned these awards for their performance on and off the field. These decals are given to players who represent our program in the classroom, community, and on the field. The awards are given for actions that represent the true meaning of a Rebel. This Rebel epitomizes hard work, hustle, aggressiveness, intelligence, leadership, sportsmanship, and dedication to the team. These decals identify the young men on our team who do the little things right in an effort to become better teammates and citizens. Take note of these young men because they are the future leaders of our community! (Left Side) Black H & Sabers=Athletic AchievementTeam Defensively; 3 and out punt, Turnover, Defensive touchdown, Opponent under 225 yds, Opponent < 21 points, team victory, No mental penalties. Team Offensively; Score > 21 points, Over 300 total yards, Over 250 rushing yards, Over 150 passing yards, Zero turnovers, No penalties. (Right Side) Red H & Sabers=Academic Achievement (*Grade report with no grade below a C, *Grade report with 3 or more As, Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, 2nd semester grades of 3.0 or higher for previous year, zero tardies for the week)

The H & Sabers Performance Decals

The Ironman award is symbolized by a round black decal with an arm raising a dumbbell. If you notice players with these decals on the back of their helmet, they have gone above and beyond throughout the off-season. Open training sessions were held throughout the summer in the early morning hours for all students looking to become the best that they can be. Many of our football players attended, and have made significant personal gains. While the true fruit of their labor will be displayed on the game field each and every play, we felt it was important to give public recognition for their total dedication to becoming the best that they can be.

Ironman Award

I promise to play the game with great courage and never make excuses. I will play with great intensity and give everything I have. I will finish plays and never give up. I will take responsibility for my actions and inactions. I will push my teammates and myself to be the best in athletics, academics, and in life. I will support my teammates and treat them like family. I will enjoy myself and make football fun for everyone.
