CAREER SUMMARY
My interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to work effectively within diverse
environments, particularly those requiring strong communication skills and responding to
needs of customers, are among my highest attributes. The variety of tasks and sectors in
which I have worked has meant that I have become a quick learner, capable of
prioritising and working effectively in a multi-task environment.
The Skynet 5 Management Segment software application has been designed to provide a
Web Browser platform, from where it is possible to operate up to ten communication
satellites. Working to a strict timeline due to the implications of missing a planned
satellite launch, I am responsible for ensuring the deployment roll out is undertaken in a
controlled phased approach, I manage sub-systems, track issues and where necessary
approve Change Requests and Requests For Deviations.
I report on a regular basis to an External customer, regularly chairing Project Review
Boards, the Project team I lead comprises a QA Manager, Test team Leader and a
Configuration Control specialist.
I meet periodically with Stakeholders and am responsible for providing RAG status
reports and End of Stage reports, I receive metrics from the Testing team using this and
budgetary performance stats to form an opinion on project progress and act accordingly.
I continually seek to improve communication, eradicate workstream duplication.
The Skynet5 Satellite system will provide the UK MOD with improved coverage,
availability, functionality, flexibility and monitoring capabilities. All software and hardware
is subject to stringent security requirements, this Project provides the level of
professional challenge and opportunities that I seek.
