Christmas
Card
Using
Lovely
As
A
Tree
Stamp
Set.
Step
1.
Create
the
Mask
For
this
tutorial
I
created
an
oval
mask.
However
this
works
with
any
shape
square,
circular
or
any
odd
shape
you
desire.
Cut
the
mask
from
80gsm
paper
such
as
computer
paper,
and
be
sure
to
have
a
couple
of
spares
on
hand.
Step
2:
Stamp
The
Image
Ink
up
the
mulKple
tree
stamp
from
Lovely
As
A
Tree.
Ensure
the
mask
is
adhered
with
DoPo
and
stamp
the
image
onto
Whisper
White
or
Very
Vanilla
card
from
Stampin
Up!
Step
3:
Create
a
Mask
for
Hills
Using
the
same
light
weight
paper,
tear
a
hill
shape
to
act
as
a
mask
when
you
are
creaKng
the
background
and
foreground
of
the
picture.
Step
4:
Sponge
the
Background
You
are
starKng
to
create
hills/mountains
or
clouds.
You
can
always
add
more
ink
later
if
you
want
some
areas
darker.
Start
to
create
the
background
by
loading
your
sponge
with
ink
from
a
Classic
Ink
Pad.
Work
lightly
and
apply
ink
between
the
original
mask
shape
and
the
torn
edge
mask.
Step
5:
Preview
The
Sponged
Area
Remove
the
torn
edge
mask
and
view
the
eect,
then
replace
this
mask
a
liPle
lower
and
at
a
dierent
angle.
Sponge
again
and
be
sure
not
to
totally
cover
the
area
with
ink.
Step
6:
Build
The
Background
ConKnue
to
build
your
background
by
moving
the
mask
at
dierent
angles.
Sponge
close
to
the
torn
edge
and
ensure
that
some
white
card
is
showing
through
at
the
top
of
each
secKon
you
sponge.
Try
to
obtain
dierent
hues
of
the
colour
to
create
addiKonal
depth.
Step
7:
Create
Another
Mask
To
colour
the
foreground
you
rst
need
to
create
a
mask
for
the
stamped
image.
Do
this
by
stamping
the
image
onto
a
piece
of
paper,
then
cut
along
the
ground
line
at
the
base
of
the
trees.
Keep
the
paper
that
has
the
stamped
image
on
it
this
is
your
new
mask.
Step
8:
Create
the
Foreground
Using
the
same
mask
as
you
tore
for
the
hills,
lay
it
on
more
acute
angles
to
create
the
foreground
as
shown.
The
ink
on
this
secKon
should
be
applied
more
densely.
Move
the
mask
at
various
angles
to
create
sob
rolling
hills
in
front
of
the
trees.
Step
9:
Remove
the
Masks
Remove
the
masks
to
discover
your
creaKon.
You
will
need
to
ensure
that
you
have
sponged
around
the
enKre
perimeter
of
the
mask.
This
will
give
you
picture
deniKon
and
create
the
eect
of
looking
through
a
window.
Step
10:
Align
the
Large
Tree
Use
the
Stamp-A- Majig
to
posiKon
the
large
tree
as
shown.
Dont
worry
if
you
loose
some
details
of
the
tree
in
the
background
they
can
be
highlighted
later
on.
Stamp
the
large
tree
using
the
same
ink
as
for
the
rest
of
the
card.
Step
11:
Final
Touches.
Embellish
and
decorate
your
card
as
desired.
I
used
the
2-way
glue
pen
and
Dazzling
Diamonds
for
some
gliPer
on
branches
and
around
the
edge
of
the
card.
Tree
branches
on
the
large
tree
were
highlighted
with
a
White
Gel
Pen.
A
greeKng
was
stamped
at
top
Right.
Mount
onto
same
colour
card
the
as
the
ink.
