5 Education: (Note: Only list schools from which youve graduated and/or earned degrees. Please indicate if currently attending.) (Note: If youve completed a certificate program, please list in Other row and indicate certificate obtained.) Should you be elected, what are three specific areas youd like to change, address, improve or further research, and how specifically would you go about it?

1) The Governors new budget legislation will reduce the Townships annual budget by almost $500,000 annually with a large portion of it affecting the Township Fire Department with some impact on the Road department. I will continue the cross border collaborations with surrounding community leaders to move forward with further exploring and implementing a capital equipment cost sharing program. By doing this we will be able to run the Painesville Township Fire Department and Road department more fiscally efficient while still improving the access to newer state of the art equipment. This type of program, partnered with the automatic mutual aid program already in place will allow the Township to better serve the residents while improving safety all the while retaining our community independence and autonomy. 2) As a result of the reduce tax base from shrinking property values and budget reductions from the State, the Lake County Commissioners are forced to continue cutting funding to the Lake County Sherriff Department. The Lake County Commissioners and the Sherriff have stated that these cuts will ultimately result in taking away road patrol and other services the Sherriffs department presently provides the Township without additional cost to the Township. These cuts will leave Painesville Township with the burden of finding a way to replace the loss of services on their own. I will use my business experience and my relationships with neighboring community officials to work to find cost effective solutions to ensure the Township resident receive the protection they need. 3) In my discussions with local residents a concern that has been voiced quite often is the lack of quality outdoor recreation facilities for the community to use for youth sports like football, soccer and baseball in the Township. I feel that this is something that can be resolved through the hard work and research of the Township Trustees office and the assistance of Township residents. Through possible grants and funding assistance from local corporations this could become a reality for the Township and if elected I will work to further research and seek out these monies. The families of the Township deserve these types of amenities, especially if they can be provided without direct expense to the Township budget and I will work to find a way to provide them to the Township.
Whether for past accomplishments or future goals, why should voters elect you?:

I feel that being part of a community for decades and having strong roots there is very important if I am going to be an advocate for the residents in the Township office. I am a born and raised resident of Painesville Township and I haven chosen to stay here to raise my family. I feel knowing where a community has been and being part of its past is important when leading it into the future. I am proud to have been raised in a family that has positively served the community for decades and shown me the importance of hard work. By following the examples my family set for me, I have dedicated much of my time serving the community by working with non-profit organizations that directly benefit local residents. I am confident the experiences I have gained through owning two local businesses that provides service to hundreds of residents has given me the knowledge and capability to properly handle the issues and responsibilities I will face as Township Trustee. The experience I have gained developing and balancing budgets in my professional career and through my community service will help me effectively deal with the upcoming State budget cuts that will be affecting the Township. My vision for the township includes ensuring it remains the fiscally balanced community it has been for decades while providing the services the residents want and deserve. If elected, residents can count on me to stay here and work hard to ensure that Painesville Township continues to be a great community that people want to live in and be a part of.
