Details of scales of pay, essential qualifications and other requirements against the posts advertised : 1.Deputy Director, Multi-media Course Material (in the rank of Associate Professor) Scale of pay : ` 37,400 to` 67,000 plus grade pay of ` 9000 for those having more than three years of service in the rank of Asstt.Professor. ` 15,600 to` 39,100 Plus grade pay of ` 8000 for those having less than three years of service in the rank of Asstt. Professor. Essential qualification : i) A Masters degree with 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale in mass communication / computer science with consistently good academic record

ii) Ph. D. degree in the concerned subject. iii) A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching of which at least 3 years shall be at the postgraduate level. iv) A minimum of 3 years of experience in audio-visual production in the ODL system. Desirable : i) . A degree / diploma in distance education.

ii) Experience of working in Open University / distance education system in programme production and programme delivery. iii) In case of a masters degree holder in mass communication, adequate knowledge of computer and in case of a masters degree holder in computer science, adequate knowledge of audio-visual material production. Age : Should not be less than 30 years and more than 45 years on 31st. October, 2011.

2. Assistant Professor in i) iv) vii) Political Science Philosophy History ii) v) Economics Commerce iii) vi) Education Sanskrit

Scale of pay : `15,600 to` 39,100 plus grade pay of ` 6000 per month. Essential qualification : i) A Masters degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale,with consistently good academic record.

ii) Cleared NET / SLET or having Ph.D in the subject concerned or an allied subject. [Relaxation in requirement of NET/SLET, marks at Masters level or any other requirement, shall be as per UGC guidelines circulated for the purpose from time to time] Desirable : i) Adequate knowledge of computer.

ii) A degree / diploma in distance education. iii) At least 3 years Experience of working in Open University / distance education system. iv) Adequate knowledge of both English and Assamese. 3.Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor Scale of pay : `12,000 to` 40,000 plus grade pay of ` 6,300 Essential qualification : i) Graduate with a minimum speed of (140/40 words in English and 70/25 words in Assamese) per minute in short hand and typewriting respectively.

ii) A minimum of 45% marks in all examination. iii) At least 10 years experience as Personal Secretary (PS) or Senior Grade Stenographer in a government office or an educational institution. Desirable : i) Degree / Diploma in Personal Management / Human Resource Management. ii) Working knowledge of computer. iii) Experience of working in the University System. Age : Minimum age 30 years.

4.Private Secretary to the Registrar Scale of pay : `12,000 to` 40,000 plus grade pay of ` 6,300 Essential qualification : i) Graduate with a minimum speed of (140/40 words in English and 70/25 words in Assamese) per minute in short hand and typewriting respectively.

ii) A minimum of 45% marks in all examination. iii) At least 10 years experience as Personal Secretary (PS) or Senior Grade Stenographer in a government office or an educational institution.
