Visa & Immigration

Student Pass: All international students are required to apply for a Student VISA to study in Malaysia. It will usually take at least 6 to 8 weeks to obtain approval for a Student VISA. Hence, you are advised to submit your application 2 months prior to the commencement date of each intake. Flight Details: Please email or fax the airport pick request form to the International Office at SEGi University College at least 10 days before your departure date. The form includes some of the required information: Date of arrival Time of arrival Flight number Immigration Clearance: An officer from the University College will receive you at the airport's immigration clearance point and assist you in immigration clearance. Please take note that you WILL NOT be able to clear immigration without the presence of an officer from the University College.

Students staying in the air-conditioned accommodation are provided with a bed, study table and chair, cupboard and fan. Private Accommodation

Private accommodation is also available for those who prefer more privacy and independence. A list of private accommodation options can be obtained at the Student Service Centre. Students may also wish to consult the classifieds section of the local newspaper for more choices. There is no set location for private accommodation, however, students are encouraged to stay close to the campus. Private accommodation rental is paid directly to the landlord and accommodation options can vary between single, twin-sharing, partly furnished and fully furnished.
