The United States lost the Vietnam War due to domestic pressures, rather than military losses abroad

The many successful protests caused the United States people to oppose the war efforts A The Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee started the first of many protests B 200,000 people demonstrated a stand against the war in San Francisco in 1967 C 100,000 others marched on to Washington to oppose this as well

The government angered the people by irrationally reacting to these protests. A Students were shot and killed at a Kent State protest B Propaganda was made to discourage protests C Violated their right to assemble

The government poorly used the media and propaganda to their advantage A Documentaries were made to support and inform n the war effort that we never popular B The Bullwinkle Show directed blame against bureaucracy C Peter Seeger sang an Anti-Vietnam War song on national television D Youre Next was a popular show created by the Communist Part in the U.S.

The government reinstated the draft, which was strongly opposed by many A In the case, Gillette vs. United States it was ruled that all who opposed all acts of war were exempt from the draft, i.e. pacifists B Young men burned their draft cards in protest C Some people fled to Canada to avoid the draft D Others starved themselves to fail medical examination E Champion boxer, Cassius Clay, was imprisoned for refusing to follow through with draft efforts

Popular music was created to help protest the war effort A Elvis Presley wrote music on the war and blamed the war on drugs and the Beatles, his rival B Woodstock brought many musical groups together to fight for a common cause, peace.
