Gian Lorenzo Bernini, or just Bernine, was born in Italy in December 07th, 1958, in the breast of family florentina, son of Pietro Bernini, sculptor. Gian Lorenzo Bernini ou sisplemente Bernini nasceu na Itlia, em Npoles, em 07 de dezembro de 1958, no seio de uma famlia florentina, filho de Pietro Bernini, escultor maneirista. Cedo acompanhou o pai a Roma, onde suas precoces habilidades de prodgio logo foram notadas pelo pintor Annibale Carracci e pelo Papa Paulo V comeando assim a trabalhar como artista independente. Foi um eminente artista do barroco italiano, trabalhando principalmente na cidade de Roma. Distinguiu-se como escultor e arquiteto, ainda que tivesse sido pintor, desenhista, cengrafo e criador de espectculos de pirotecnia. Seus primeiros trabalhos foram inspirados por esculturas helenistas e romanas existentes, que pde estudar em detalhe. Esculpiu numerosas obras de artes, presentes at os dias atuais, em Roma e no Vaticano. Principais trabalhos: Praa de So Pedro, Capela Chigi, O Extase de Santa Teresa, Habacuc, O Anjo etc. Bernini, realizou uma de suas obras primas absolutas, onde seus valores estticos e culturais representam um dos fatos artsticos mais importantes do sculo XVII, a capela Cornaro na igreja de Santa Maria da Vitria, com a imagem O xtase de Santa Teresa. Bernini, organiza o espao exguo da capela como um cenrio teatral, com os espectadores e a famlia do patrocinador, retratada a meio busto nos palcos laterais.
