ronny's idea is certainly worth some consideration.

in any event, we should keep the media informed about progress at this end so that
they have things to write about the "ce election".

ching is not next but east weekly. much worse!

i think the press generally knew we are engaging a pr firm because they said
someone from our side mentioned this quite a few weeks ago and they kept asking me
for progress. i of course had no idea as usual, having only attended the meeting
once.
it may be that the group needs to think announcing this ourselves rather than for
east weekly to make a filed day on this saying our secret worry about image, blah,
blah, blah........
just a thought.

i now understand there may be another reason why apco wants this
description. they were called up by ching kai nam and asked what their role
is in all this. how ching (next magazine) got to know about apco is a very
interesting question. it is unlikely that anyone in the working group
leaked this to the media. i doubt if many remember the name of the firm!
also it is interesting that ching did not seem to have asked around but
simply knew. the most likely source is intelligence - either by hacking or
by sercret surveillance. which of course means we are being taken very
seriously. naturally apco feels that the simplest connection is with us,
rather than with several groups loosely linked together.

audrey, do you think you could have a quiet word with yeung sum and explain?
i think it is helpful to have dp's understanding, and you have the right
touch.
