IV. APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Applicant applies through www.essays.ph. 2. EPH Staff will then review the applicant's profile. 3. If the application has been approved, the staff will contact the applicant to register at http://forums.essays.ph. 4. Once applicant registers, he or she automatically becomes part of the Black Team 5. Black Team writers cannot get any job orders/assignments until they pass the screening exam. 6. Black Team Writers are encouraged to browse the entire forum and observe how the system works. Keep in mind that the management is trying to observe if an applicant needs to be constantly spoon fed with information/instructions or if he/she can work with minimal supervision.

PROCEDURES: 1.) First things first, all you need to do is setup your profile for your preferred payment processor. Click your name, located just on top right of the forums, and choose 'My Settings'. Click the 'Profile' Tab, then choose 'Change Profile Information' in the left panel. Scroll below until you see the 'Required Information' submenu: In the dropdown box, choose your preferred payment processor. After you've chosen your preferred payment processor, update the 'Payment Details' box which will be based on your chosen payment processor (More information below).

2.) Get some assignments and receive points! 3.) Once you've received your points, go to the 'EPH Points System' (Located just below the EPH Work Hub front banner), and donate the points to "Ezekiel" - our new salary bot. Ezekiel will now then process your salary in real time.

For those who have chosen one of the primary payment processors: Your salary will be credited within 12 days For those who have chosen one of the secondary payment processors: Your salary will be credited within 3-4 days 4.) You will receive a digital receipt/transaction code of the salary payment. Once you've received it, it means salary have been credited in your chosen payment processor.

PAYMENT PROCESSORS INFORMATION:

BPI Express/BPI Family Savings This is one of the preferred payment processor here at EPH. Just open an ATM account at any BPI branches near you. All you need to do is bring 2 valid I.D.'s, any bill with your address, and a 1x1 picture. In the 'Payment Details' box, you must provide your bank account name and 10 digit account number. The correct account number is located at the back of your ATM card.

BPI E-Cash This is one of the preferred payment processor here at EPH. Just open an atm account at any BPI branches near you. All you need to do is bring 2 valid I.D.'s, any bill with your address, and a 1x1 picture. In the 'Payment Details' box, you must provide your bank account name and 16 digit CARD number. The correct card number is located at the front of your atm card.

LBC You can now get your salary too at any LBC Branches nationwide. All you need is just an I.D. to get your salary. In the 'Payment Details' box, you must provide your full name and your complete address. Wait for a reference code from Ezekiel to get your payment. Extra note for LBC: o o o You will be charged 50 points per 500 points withdrawn (This is not part of the 100 points transaction fee, which will be deducted if your withdrawal is below 1,000 points) Withdrawals must be in Hundreds (Ends with two zeroes). Your payment details must be the exact information you have in your I.D. (Name and address)

You can also choose someone to claim the money if you don't have a legit I.D. You can now choose LBC Money Delivery or LBC Branch Pickup.

G-CASH We also offer the oh-so-famous G-Cash payment option. All you need is just a mobile phone with a Globe sim card. You must first register with the feature. You can call 211 or 730-1000 for more information. In the 'Payment Details' box, you must provide your Globe mobile number.

UNIONBANK Just open a Savings/EON account at any Unionbank branches near you. In the 'Payment Details' box, you must provide your bank account name and 12 digit account number.

REMINDERS:

If you've chosen one of the secondary payment processors, you will supply the bank account name, account number and the address of the account holder. A transaction fee of 100 points will be deducted from the total points withdrawn. However, the transaction fee is waived if you've processed a withdrawal of 1,000 points and above. For those who will get one of the secondary payment processors, the writer will shoulder the EFT (Electronic Fund Transfer) fees, which will depend on the rates of your bank. Daily cut-off time is 12:00 noon. Always make sure that your payment details in your profile is correct. You can change it anytime you want.

VIII. GETTING & SUBMITTING ASSIGNMENTS

This is a quick guide on how to get assignments from Essays.ph. You should study this thoroughly since this method can be a bit complex at first. The whole objective of this method is "First one to post a claim gets the assignment". 1.) Go to the 'New Assignments' or "Free for all" section of this forum. 2.) You will see some topics posted... choose one.

3.) Once you've chosen a topic, you will see the details of that assignment. Here's a sample with two different formats: Format 1 (In this format, you will write any topic about cartoons with random keywords): Quote Writer 1-5 [5] topics, [500] words each [300] points, [24] hours

4.) You will then decide if you'll choose this assignment (If not, go to other topics). Once you've decided, here is the standard post if you want to take the assignment: "I'll be Writer (#)" - Post this reply if you want to take the available writer slot

5.) Research and write the articles. From the time of post, you have 24 hours to finish the assignment. Keep in mind that some assignments have shorter or longer deadlines - always pay attention to the assignment details. 6.) Upon finishing the required articles, you will post in the same topic that you've chosen (you have to find it in either at 'New Assignments' or 'Pending Assignments' section), then upload the zip file of your assignment. How to Upload your assignment: a.) Click 'Add Reply' in the topic that you've chosen. b.) Click the 'Browse' button, then choose the zip file that you've created. c.) Click 'Upload', wait for it to finished, then Click 'Add Reply' below. Note: Only EPH Staff can download your file.

7.) Finished at last. You are free to browse for more assignments again (Even if your previous work hasn't

been reviewed yet). IMPORTANT: THE PL (Project Leader) SYSTEM

All assignments will have a project leader. The first writer to claim a slot in a thread will be the P.L. The PL's Task: * Manage all writers in the assignment thread. * Post status updates similar with the editors'. * Start an invited conversation with the writers assigned in the set. This will help reduce the delays and other assignment related issues. They can converse to help each other in research and writing about the topic. * Report delays/offenses in the team. Upon successfully finishing the task (The set is already in the Completed Assignments Reviewed), the PL and her members can now delete the conversation to avoid Inbox clutter. ALWAYS REMEMBER, THE FIRST ONE TO POST IN THE ASSIGNMENT IS THE PROJECT LEADER.

SOME REMINDERS:

The first one to post gets the assignment. Do not claim writer slots if all the slots in a topic is fully taken. Once you choose your writer slot in a topic --> STRICTLY NO CHANGING OR EDITING OF YOUR POST. You are only allowed to choose one assignment at a time (if you are not a blue team member). From the time of post, you have 24 hours to complete the assignment. Keep in mind that some assignments have shorter or longer deadlines - always pay attention to the assignment details. You can't take any assignments until you've finished your previous ones. Assignment Threads are strictly for slot claims and GC requests. If you want to chat with fellow writers, use the Writers Cafeteria. If you want to ask questions about the assignment, txt one of the editors or post a thread at the Staff Corner The 'New Assignments' section topics will not be hourly updated, so you'll sometimes find topics that have no vacant slots anymore. Do not be too PICKY. Next batch of assignments will not arrive unless all the previous batch has been taken. So please cooperate. Once all the writers in a topic have finished and attached their zip files, the topic will be moved to the 'Completed Assignments' section in the forums and will be reviewed by the EPH Editors. Once your assignment has been approved for delivery, you will automatically receive the corresponding points.

IX. WRITER'S GUIDELINES

Always remember:

Everything must be original. No copied source from the internet, even one sentence. No insufficient word count. Please minimize punctuation errors/ grammatical errors/ spelling errors. No Philippine related writings readers are U.S. based. No spinning or recycling content, repetitive sentences or redundant paragraphs. No submission of incomplete assignments. No cancellation of assignments. No selling/giving/using any of the articles that youve written for Essays.ph. Please research each article carefully. Your assignments must be submitted within 24 hours. Keep in mind that some assignments have shorter or longer deadlines - always pay attention to the assignment details.

Some basic tips:

For best results, make a goal to allot 1 hour of your time for each 500 word article (30 min. for research, 30 min. for writing). Never, ever RUSH articles. Do not write if you think youre too tired or stressed. Use Microsoft Word for spelling/grammar checker. Theres a Word Count feature on Microsoft Word. use it. Google is the best search engine for research. You can also use Yahoo, MSN, and Live. All your articles are for web content only, so you dont need to do serious research and writing. Just enjoy the job, and Im sure youll be successful.

X. TOPIC ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

General Topic: Cartoons Assignment Details: Please make sure articles are unique. Make creative titles and specify cool characters in your articles. Keyword Appearance: 1-3 Times Keywords: Cartoons, Anime

1. General Topic: - The general topic that you will write about. 2. Assignment Details: - More detailed information about the said topic. 3. Keywords: - The keywords that you must add in each article and/or the topics that you must write about. This is used for SEO (More about this later). One keyword = One article. 4. Keyword appearance: - The number of times you will add those keywords in each article. 5. Note that there are assignment sets with keyword frequencies but no keywords provided. Use the General Topic as keyword in these cases. 6. In some cases, you will need to mix and match keywords.

Some basic tips:

The Assignment Bot "Ezzy" will be the one generating/seeding assignments. Make sure you follow each Assignment details, this is very important. Do not forget to emphasize keywords. Always use a nice, creative title for your articles, unless the titles are already specified by the Assignment Bot "Ezzy". Articles will always be in 3rd Person Perspective unless stated otherwise in the Assignment Details If your assignments are 500 word articles please make sure your articles are equal to or more than 500 words. No 499 words or less. Same goes for 250 words assignments, no 249 words or less. Titles are not part of the keyword count. One keyword = One article (In some cases, you will need to mix and match keywords). However, sometimes (on rare occasions), the Assignment Bot "Ezzy" add numerous or less amount of keywords compared to the number of topics required. Just choose some of them and add random amounts of keywords in each article. (Mix and Match)

XI. TOPIC DELIVERY DETAILS

After completing each assignment, here are the standard procedures to follow before delivery: 1.) Finalize each article, check for grammatical and spelling errors throughout the document.

2.) Make sure you have added and emphasized the keywords that the Assignment Bot "Ezzy" wants for the articles. You can use boldface to emphasize the keywords. 3.) Make sure you have creative titles for your articles. 4.) Make sure the filename of each Word File is the keyword of your article. 5.) Use Times New Roman/12 as font/font size 6.) Insert all the articles in a zip file. Then rename the zip file with this format: Writer#.Username.Topic.code

Example: Quote Writer4.Ezzy.forex.00031.zip

7.) Upload the zip file in the topic that you've chosen. 8.) Make sure your submission post only contains your zipfile and your submission message. Make a new post if you want to claim a new slot, in order to avoid confusion (claims made in a submission post will be null and void) 9.) In case of mistakes/corrupted uploads, refer to the policies on fixing corrupted uploads. Note: Your articles must be separated. Do not write all articles/topics in one word file. Also, if youre writing with MS Office 2007, make sure you save it as a .doc file format. No .docx files please.

XII. SEO, LSI AND KEYWORDS

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) - Simply known as the process or technique of developing a website to ranked higher in search engines results through targeted keywords (e.g. Google Search, Yahoo Search, etc.). One method of SEO is inserting relevant keywords to your web content articles. Example: 1. John, as an HRM student, has some assignment about Japanese Cuisine. In order to write effectively about this, he needs to research about it.

2. John turns on the PC, and he visits google.com he type the keywords Japanese Cuisine. 3. All websites who has the keywords Japanese Cuisine in their web content will display in Google. 4. However, sites with SEOd web content that focuses on the keywords Japanese Cuisine will be prioritized by the search engines and will be displayed in the top results. 5. John clicks on the first result from Google.

Many clients want their articles to be SEOd for their keywords. In order to do this, you need to add and emphasize the indicated keywords that the client wants in the article throughout the body. This is very important, so always take note. Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) - LSI is a different method that some clients use for search engines that penalize aggressive SEO techniques and keyword stuffing. Instead of focusing on repeated appearances of a keyword, LSI simply designates one main keyword, that it mentions sparingly, and sprinkles the entire article with other words that are directly related to the main keyword. For example: If the client wants to target searches for Women's Shoes, instead of stuffing the article with the phrase "Women's Shoes", the writer will simply mention [Women's Shoes] once, and sprinkle the article with legitimate uses of related words, such as [Pumps], [Sandals], [Heels], and [Flats] 2. Articles written using LSI rules instead of SEO are more difficult to construct, but are of higher quality and will look like legitimately written essays instead of search engine-oriented writeups. 1.

A few reminders:

One keyword = One article Sometimes, the Assignment Bot "Ezzy" specifies numerous keywords. Just choose some of them and add random amounts of keywords in each article. Make sure you dont use too many keywords, unless specified by the Assignment Bot "Ezzy"... since it will make your articles spammy. This is called Keyword Stuffing. When the Assignment Bot "Ezzy" adds long tail keywords, make sure you write the same keywords EXACTLY in each article.

XIII. RECYCLING CONTENT, A BIG NO-NO!

What do you mean by recycling articles??? In the field of writing, recycling of content is basically copying a paragraph or a set of paragraphs, sentence or sentences from one article to another. It is a method used by dishonest writers who want to make their job easier. For example, they have to submit 10 (500 word) articles about pet grooming. What they will do is that the 1st and 3rd paragraph of article 1 will be used as the 2nd and 5th paragraph of article 3. This is what we call the re-arranging method. They simply re-arrange paragraphs or sentences of one article to create another article. These are two different articles submitted by one of our dismissed writers. Noticed that one paragraph was copied from the first article to the second article.

First Article:

Quote Asthma is a common childhood chronic condition that is not outgrown. The child remains at risk of asthma symptoms although symptoms may decrease in intensity. To keep asthma under control, children need to take daily medication as with anyone with a chronic condition. Under appropriate treatment, asthma should not interfere with a childs daily routine. The narrowing of the airways triggered by an irritant can cause difficulty in breathing. This can be very alarming for people and especially children who have no experience with this condition.

Second Article:

Quote The etymology of the word asthma comes from the Greek word azein which literally means breathe hard. Asthma as a condition is a chronic disease affecting the airways. The airways are the tubes that bring air in and out of your lungs. This lung condition causes an individual to have difficulty breathing and affects more than 6 Million kids and teens. An asthma trigger is an irritant for asthmatics that causes the airways to narrow and causes swelling to the lining of the airways thereby causing inflammation. The formation of sticky phlegm or mucus causes further narrowing of the airways.

To keep asthma under control, children need to take daily medication as with anyone with a chronic condition. Under appropriate treatment, asthma should not interfere with a childs daily routine. Up to a point, constriction of the airways is normal when irritating substances are breathed in. But the reaction of the airways to these irritants is hyperactive; some would even call it exaggerated. Simply put, there is an overreaction to irritants or pollutants by the airways in people who suffer from asthma.

If you are out of ideas or information to write, one acceptable method that you can use is paraphrasing. Be creative. Remember that recycling of content is cheating. Each sentence and paragraph should be unique. Even one sentence that is copied from one article to another will be considered recycling of content. Recycling of content is subject to suspension or immediate termination.

XIV. GRACE SYSTEM

Had an emergency? Too tired and sick to write? Have an important meeting? We understand life, so writers are allowed to use their grace credits to extend their deadlines. See chapter XVI for details on how to earn a GC How to inform: 1. In the topic that you've chosen, kindly post that your assignment will be delayed. 2. You will be given another 24 hours grace period. (48 hours in total)

IMPORTANT:

If no delay notification was posted in the topic that you've chosen, the staff will automatically deduct a GC, but if you have no remaining GCs, the staff will delete your post and will open the slot again for a new writer. You will also receive a warning increase. If you have notified and posted in the topic that your assignment will be delayed, but unfortunately did not reach the 24 hours grace period (48 hours in total), the staff will delete your post and will open the slot again for a new writer. You are only allowed to use one (1) GC per assignment Grace period is ALWAYS 24 hrs even if the deadline is longer (assignments with deadlines shorter than 24 hours will have shorter grace periods) If you are a new hire, you are entitled to 3 starting Grace Credits, but the GC counter will not show up on your profile yet. Contact any editor and ask him/her to update your GC counter.

XV. WARNING SYSTEM

The Warning System will encourage discipline and commitment as well as promote better performance for homebased writers. The Warning System is a way where we can notify you if you had a violation. Warning levels are increased or decreased using 20% increments (a total of 5 levels). If you manage to reach 100% warning level, your posting abilities will be suspended and you will not be able to claim assignments. You'll gain a 20% warning increase through: Submission of unacceptable content a.) Rewritten articles (Spinning/Recycling) b.) Too many Grammatical flaws/ Poor Sentence Structure c.) Irrelevant content d.) Plagiarized Sentences e.) Substandard format (Not following Assignment Details) f.) Insufficient Word Count/Keyword Appearance Using/Selling/Giving of articles written for EPH. Force Assignments are the only means to avoid unwanted assignments being taken for granted and enhance overall team productivity, it is also used to remove suspension, reduce warning levels, and Procedure:

To earn a GC: 1.) Request for a Force Assignment from any editor 2.) Your assignment and additional instructions will be provided through pm from Sir Neil. 2.) Am I allowed to share my account/let other people use my account? NO. Technically speaking, this policy can be difficult to enforce, so there will be no penalties for sharing your account. However, you need to remember that the management will hold the username itself accountable for any offenses/violations regardless of who is using it at the time it occured - so excuses such as "it wasn't me, someone else was using my account at the time" will be ignored. Be responsible with your EPH account.

If we work long term, what are the bonuses and benefits that we will get? If you have reached the 6th month of your employment with excellent performance, you will be included in the roster of employees for promotion. Special compensation packages are also available. And you may be given a chance to work abroad in one of our partner companies.

Can we take two assignments in a day? You are only allowed to grab one (1) assignment at a time. Claiming another assignment without submitting the previous one will be subject to warning increase. However, once you finish your previous assignment, you may take another one again, so if you are fast enough, you can take as many as 3 assignments within 24 hrs. Blue Team writers, on the other hand, are allowed to claim 2 slots at a time.

What happens if i lose all my grace credits? You will be subject to warning increase and slot release for every assignment that exceeds the deadline.

Black Team (Applicants) When you first register, you will be included in the Black Team. You can only post in the applicants section of the forums until you've provided samples.

Red Team/Green Team (EPH Writers) Upon approval of your samples, you will be moved to either Red or Green Team... you are now a writer and can get assignments based on your availability.

Blue Team (EPH Elite Writers) Highest ranking writers. To be promoted here, one must show excellent performance in EPH (High quality and informative articles, Always on time, Follows assignment details, Minimal bad records, Good ratings, etc.)
