CLAT 2011 Admission Notice

Candidates who have been declared successful by CLAT-2011 for admission in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) five year integrated course and LL.M. course of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, are hereby informed that they must report the University for completion of the admission formalities as per the following schedule: Date of Counselling Category of Students Commencement of Classes 29.06.2011 SC & ST of U.P. From 04.07.2011 30.06.2011 OBC of U.P. 1-2 July. 2011 General Candidates will be required to present themselves before a Committee at 10.30 A.M. in the Administrative Block along with the following documents/testimonials: 1. A demand draft of Rs. 74,000/- for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course and Rs. 47,000/- for LL.M. course towards annual fee drawn in favour of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow. Those candidates who have paid Rs. 25,000/- to the CLAT under online counselling process, shall be required to pay only remaining amount (i.e. total fee minus Rs. 25,000/-). 2. Rs. 12,000/- towards mess fee (from all candidates including SC/ST) for the first semester be deposited in the SBI, University campus branch either in cash or by way of a demand draft in favour of Co-operative Mess A/c payable at Lucknow. 3. SC, ST candidates of Uttar Pradesh having family income up to Rs. one lac shall be required to pay Rs.21,000/only for both B.A. L.L.B. (Hons.) & L.L.M. Courses. 4. SC/ST, OBC & GENERAL candidates of U.P. having family income upto rupee one lac per annum and claiming Scholarship/Fee Re-imbursement shall also be required to fill-up their Scholarship/Fee Re-imbursement Form in triplicate and submit it on the same day along with the necessary enclosures (i.e. income certificate, caste certificate, photocopy of PAN card of parents and affidavit in the prescribed format enclosed with scholarship form). 5. Caste certificate (SC/ST & OBC category of Uttar Pradesh), in original, issued by the competent authority. (Note : - OBC students must note that Caste certificate provided by them are not older than Six Months as on 31-10-2011 and SC/ST & OBC Caste certificate are verifiable from the website of Board Of Revenue http://bor.up.nic.in). 6. SC, ST, OBC & GENERAL(family income upto rupee one lac per annum) candidates claiming fee reimbursement shall be required to produce Income Certificate issued by the competent revenue authority (Note : - Students must note that Income certificate provided by them are not older than Six Months as on 31-10-2011 and are verifiable from the website of Board Of Revenue http://bor.up.nic.in). 7. Candidates claiming horizontal reservation under categories of PWD/Dependants of Freedom Fighter/Sonsdaughters of defence personnel deployed in Uttar Pradesh or defence personnel of Uttar Pradesh either retired or killed-disabled in action must produce the certificates in original issued by the competent authority strictly in the prescribed format. 8. High School/Secondary school Mark sheet and certificate in support of proof of age. 9. Mark sheet and certificate of Intermediate/10+2 examinations. 10. Conduct/Character certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended. 11. Transfer/Migration certificate from the Institution last attended. 12. Ten Passport size latest color photographs. 13. One set of attested copies of all original certificates/documents mentioned above. 14. Admission form duly filled-in and signed by the candidate. 15. An Undertaking, in the prescribed format, of acceptance of the Terms & Conditions of the admission, signed by the candidate & the parents. 16. A prescribed form of particulars for Proctorial Board duly filled and signed by the candidate. This form can be downloaded from the website. The admission will be provisional and subject to the verification of all the information/facts given in the candidate's application form. Failure to report on the mentioned counselling dates will lead to the cancellation of the candidature for this admission.

Terms & Conditions of the Provisional Admission


1. Only High School/10th Standard/10+2 examination marksheet/certificate for proof of age and Intermediate marksheet for ascertaining qualifying percentage of marks in the Intermediate shall be accepted for B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LL.B. marksheet for LL.M. course shall be accepted. No other document shall be acceptable. 2. Presence of parents/guardians of female candidates called for counselling is desirable. 3. The admission of any candidate is liable to be cancelled without giving any further notice forthwith or at any time during the period of the concerned course of study if it is detected that the candidate has/had produced fake/forged certificate(s)/document(s) or indulged in any act of misconduct/indiscipline/moral turpitude or has/had concealed any other relevant information at the time of seeking provisional admission. Such a candidate is also liable to the prosecuted under the law of the land besides being debarred from appearing in any of the Entrance Test of the University in future. 4. Any attempt by the candidate or any one else on his/her behalf to influence and/or pressurize any authorities/Admission Committee or University directly/indirectly for his/her out of rules admission shall disqualify the candidate from the provisional admission. Such candidates shall also be liable to be prosecuted under the law of the land. 5. The provisional admission of the candidate to the concerned course of study shall be subject to such ordinances, rules and regulations as may be framed from time to time by the University. 6. Admission of the eligible candidates for physically challenged category shall be made only on the recommendation of a Medical Board of the University. 7. The University shall not be responsible in any manner for postal delays and/or non payment of the fee on time.
