Tyre Pyrolysis Oil (TPO)


Calorific value of approximately 38 Mj/Kg. Similar heating value as Diesel and Heavy Fuel Oil. Used in boilers, marine engines and power generators. Current value at 480 /Tonne Can be blend at 10, 30 and up to 50% in Diesel. Murugan et al. Waste Management 28 (2008) 2743-2749.

Carbon Black
The daily output of Carbon Black is 12 Tonnes of N330 in 20 Kg paper sacks. Current value at 476 / T The company supplies grinding equipment to upgrade the basic Carbon Black. Nails and metal are automatically removed.

Environmental Impact
No solid waste or effluents. Emissions levels from the exhaust stack meet European and USA EPA levels. No mechanical / industrial noise. No bad smell. Low level of traffic .

Conclusions
E.F.I. offers a commercial alternative for the disposal of waste tyres. Contracts signed with JV partners for five plants for 2011. Pyro-oil from Tyres has a high Calorific Value similar to diesel (38 Mj/Kg). Carbon black is a valuable industrial product. E.F.I. has the exclusive distribution rights for the European and Middle East territories.
