Oral Medicine/ surgery 1. A 40 year old female presents complaining of burning in the mouth for one week. She has experienced the pain before twice. She has a clear medical history. She has however had a history of cold sores. On intraoral examination, she has healing ulcers on her anterior gingiva and hard palate. a. Give a possible diagnosis for her condition b. The pain and swelling increases during meal times. His medical history is clear. Extraorally a right submandibular swelling is present. Intraorally, the floor of the mouth on the right side is swollen. On palpation, a purulent discharge is seen and something hard is palpable. a. Give a possible cause for this swelling. b.
