Richard Bettle Jr., acquired the property on Sept. 18, 2008 via deeds in Official recorded of Monroe Records County, ohio Volume 175, Page 358 and Page 371. In a deed recorded July 2, 1895 at Deed Volume 53 Page 57 of the Monroe County Records, a prior owner of the above property, described Harvey and Ann Elizabeth Bradfield, made a reservation of all royalties from all oil and gas then being produced or produced thereafter on the premises. It is believed that such was later interest assigned in equal, 1/7th shares to the children of Harvey and Ann Elizabeth

Bradfield; being James D. Bradfield, George Bradfield, Fanny Foster, Elizabeth Hearn, Mary Bradfield Smith, Steven A. Bradfield and William Bradfield. (See Deed Book 131, Page 100). It is further believed that the 1/7th interest assigned to Steven A. Bradfield was assigned to the First National Bank of St. Marys, West Virginia in 1938 and that such bank has been acquired by the Union Bank, Inc. located in St. Marys, West Virginia. (See Book 108, Page 584). It is further believed that the 1/7th interest assigned to James D. Bradfield was assigned in equal 1/5th shares in 1955 to his children; being Anna M. Bradfield, Gilbert Bradfield, Alice Bradfield Whiting, Charles Bradfield and Catherine Scott (See Deed Book 131, Page 136). The whereabouts of the above mentioned holders of mineral interests, except for the Union Bank, are unknown. Upon information and belief, during the last 20 years, the above described mineral interest in the Bettle property: (a) has not been the subject of a record title transaction; (b) has not been used to obtain actual production of minerals from the subject lands or from adjacent lands pooled with the subject lands; (c) has not been used in underground gas storage operations; (d) has not been subject to any recorded drilling or mining permit; (e) has not been referenced in any recorded claim to preserve mineral interests; and (f) has not been shown in a separately listed tax parcel in the auditors tax list. It is the intention of Richard Bettle, as owner of the subject premises, to file in the office of the county recorder, an affidavit of abandonment, concerning all minerals except coal, at least 30, but not later than 60 days after the date of which this notice is published or served.
