The Church that Jesus Built

From Saul to Paul Ministries with the help of the Holy Ghost. AMEN ' John Baptizes the Assembly John the Baptist is the forerunner of Christ not one that preaches with Christ. That is why John said that he came before Jesus and not with Jesus. So the order of the preaching went quickly. If you read the first of the gospels you can put it together more quickly especially if you read the Book of Mark. 1) comes the baptism of John baptizing the people in power of Elias and the authority of God . 2) Next comes the baptism of Jesus. 3) His forty day tempted of the devil and the start of His ministry. 4) Jesus said that "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel". 5) Jesus elects twelve apostles and ordains them to preach the gospel. In Mark the first 3 chapters will put this list into order. This is what Jesus meant by "The time is fulfilled" in Acts 13:25 "And John fulfilled his course". That Christ brings salvation to His people and 4000 years waiting on The Christ to come is here. 5 ACTS IN BUILDING THE CHURCH = 5 is the number of GRACE with Christ. 2 MORE ACTS COMPLETED THE CHUCH = died for and baptized the church. A total of 7 acts which is the number of completion for His church. 1 MORE THAT IS NOT BEEN FULFILLED = The Rapture 8 will be the final number to finish church history and the number 8 means A NEW BEGINNING for the CHURCH Matthew 4:18-19 18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 18:20 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Note: John baptizes the assembly that will start the church but the church was not yet built or started. Jesus called Peter and Andrew and where was Jesus but "in the midst of them" and has been with us ever since. The Calling of the Assembly The word "church" is mention 77 times in 76 verses of the Bible and not once in the Old Testament but it mentioned 52 times in headers of the Old Testament using KJV. In this chapter you will understand why it comes in the header but not in any books of the Old Testament. In this chapter of the church will cover all of the church from the church assembly, to the baptism of the church and what the church means to Jesus Christ. Look at the word "church" and its meaning first mentioned in Matt.16:18 and Matt. 18:17. In

Matt. 18:20 tell how many members to make a church and that where "two or three are gathered in my name" but the church had more than baptized believers after the time of John the Baptist. Church <G1577> ek-klay-see'-ah Vine's Words: Assembly, Congregation From a compound of <G1537> (ek) and a derivative of <G2564> (kaleo); a calling out, i.e. (concretely) a popular meeting, especially a religious congregation (Jewish synagogue, or Christian community of members on earth or saints in heaven or both) :assembly, church. Strong's Talking Greek & Hebrew Dictionary Assembly Usage Number: 1 Strong's Number: <G1577> Original Word: , ekklsia Usage Notes: from ek, "out of," and klsis, "a calling" (kale, "to call"), was used among the Greeks of a body of citizens "gathered" to discuss the affairs of state, Acts 19:39. In the Sept. it is used to designate the "gathering" of Israel, summoned for any definite purpose, or a "gathering" regarded as representative of the whole nation. Note: Who did God call out of Egypt? Israel and that was the Old Testament ones that was "called out" or the Old Testament church (the assembly). That is why it is the heading only because it was not called a church in the Old Testament but it was in the New Testament in Acts 7:38. Acts 7:38 38 This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: Note: The Old Testament church was made up of the Hebrew nation and New Testament church is made up of Jews and Gentiles both. Right after the Hebrew nation was called out of Egypt than they were baptized. In 1Cor. 10:1,2 "in the cloud and in the sea" the Hebrews were baptized. They were not baptized like the baptism of John the Baptist (dipped in water) but if the Bible says that they were baptized than they were baptized. The church was foretold in Luke 1:17 and Luke 3:2 the authority was given to John to baptize when "the Word of God came unto John". Luke 1:17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord. Luke 3:2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

Note: Remember the question chief priest and scribes asked Jesus about the authority of John's baptism if it was from Heaven or men in Mark 11:29,30; Luke20:3,4. Luke 3:2 (the word of God came unto John) just answered that question about John's authority to baptize. Understand about building a church that the people must come together before you have a church or it is not a church. People think that because they built the building that the church starts first but it is just a building until you fill the building. To make a simple example of the big difference between a house and a home. Only a family can make the home until than it is just a house (four walls and a roof). In fact the building was for our benefit because the blue sky and sunshine was the building of His church at any day of the week. Jesus even healed on the Sabbath day without breaking the Jewish law. God is the One that gave them the law, so who better to know it but Jesus, Son of God/God the Son. The Foundation of the Church that Jesus Built - Part 1 The Foundation Matthew 4:18,19 18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. 19 And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Note: Between the times John start baptizing people until Jesus called Peter and Andrew to follow Him by then John had to have baptized a lot of people. Take a few minutes and think about that because John drew a multitude of people. Did Jesus tell Peter and Andrew to go get baptized or do you think that they were already baptized by John the Baptist? Remember that the Bible does not reveal everything or you could not haul it in a semi-truck and there is a verse for that in John 21:25. When Jesus called Peter and Andrew to follow Him that was the starting of the church that Jesus built. Jesus first called Peter (the rock) to lay the very foundation of the church. Matthew 16:18,19 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Rock <G4073> pet'-ra Feminine of the same as <G4074>(Petros); a (mass of) rock (literal or figurative):- rock. Peter <G4074> pet'-ra Apparently a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than <G3037>(lithos)); as a name, Petrus, an apostle: - Peter, rock. Compare <G2786>(Kephas).

Note: Jesus is building His church on a rock just like the one in the parable in Matt. 7:2427 "built his house upon a rock" and Jesus built His church on the rock of Peter. The rock that Jesus would build His church was the first to be called by Jesus. You have to have the people first before a church can be built. Jesus is the head of the Church and the very foundation of the Church. The Church Jesus was talking about was Baptized Believer's that make up the Invisible Church - the Bride of Christ. Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Note: What local church where these 3000 souls added to and what of their membership in a local church? The Foundation of the Church that Jesus Built - Part 2 The Local Church Matthew 10:1-4 1 And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. 2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother; 3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus; 4 Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him. Note: Now Christ has start the Church which started both the local and invisible Church. One of the requirements for joining a church is to be baptized. Jesus was only baptized by John the Baptist as well as the 12 Apostles. John 4:1-2 1 When therefore the Lord knew how the Pharisees had heard that Jesus made and baptized more disciples than John, 2 (Though Jesus himself baptized not, but his disciples,) There was no building for a Church nor did they join a Church when they were baptized by the 12 Apostles. What were they called after they were baptized? They were called disciples as was the Apostles were called disciples. So all Baptized Believers are disciples of Jesus Christ. Matthew 18:17 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.

Note: This was not the local church building but an assembly were they gathered together. Take your problems to two or three Christians within the assembly of the Christian congregation. Acts 11:26 26 And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 20:7 7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. [Came together = Assembly=Church] 1 Corinthians 1:2 2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: 1 Corinthians 6:1-2 1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Note: In 1 Cor. 12:27-31, when talking about the gifts that are in the Church. The list does not include disciples as a gift because all baptized believers are disciples. We are not only disciples but we are saints as well. The Church was before the Day of Pentecost and was even before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. So where was the building? No building, It was where ever the disciples gathered together. Today, the Local Church is made up of an Assembly of Baptized Believer that is independent from one another. The Local Church is responsible to preach the Gospel to all nations and tongues (different languages), saved (to teach) or not saved (to try to save the unbeliever). The Local Church has a Statement of Faith of what they as a assembly believes in and what new members need to agree to as members. A visible church is a congregation of baptized believers, associated by covenant in the faith and the fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights and privileges invested in them by His word; that its only Scriptural officers are bishops or pastors and deacons, whose qualifications, claims, and duties are defined in the epistles to Timothy and to Titus. Its ministries include glorifying the Saviour, edifying the saints, and evangelizing the world for Christ. Matthew 16:18; Matthew 28:19,20; Acts 2:47; Acts 14:23; Acts 20:28: Romans 16:5; Ephesians 1:22; Ephesians 5:23; 1 Timothy 3. The Lord's Supper, in which the members of the church by the use of bread and wine are to commemorate together the dying love of Christ, is to be

preceded always with solemn self-examination. Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:41,42; Acts 8:3639; Romans 6:4,5; 1 Corinthians 11:26-28.

The Foundation of the Church that Jesus Built - Part 3 The Invisible Church Matthew 22:1-3 1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, 2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king (God), which made a marriage for his son (Jesus Christ), 3 And sent forth his servants (the 12 Apostles) to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come (First Preached to the Jews and they rejected them). Matthew 22:6 6 And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them (they slew the Christians). Also: Matthew 23:35-37 35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. 36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Matthew 22:7-8 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.[this will happen in the 7 yrs. Tribulation] 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. Matthew 22:9-12 9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good. [Christians and those that only pretend to be Christians]: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man. [pretend to be Christians] which had not on a wedding garment [did not truly have Jesus Christ in their hearts] : [Baptized or not it does not matter in salvation] 12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? [Why have you not truly excepted my Son, Jesus Christ] And he was

speechless. [Matt. 7:21 not all that say Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven] Matthew 22:13-14 13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. [From hell to be judged at the Great White Throne and then into the Lake of Fire]. 14 For many are called (Preached to and hear the Word of God), but few are chosen (the Elect of God / the Saved). John 3:29 29 He that hath the bride (church) is the bridegroom (Jesus Christ): but the friend (nonbaptized believers) of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. Note: There are two persons and two groups of people: Plus: Israel, God's chosen people 2. The Persons: 1. the King - God the Father. 2. His Son - Jesus Christ. 2. The Groups: 1. the Bride (the Church) made up of baptized Christians. 2. Christians not baptized but saved (the guest of the Bridegroom) Israel is the Old Testament church which is the 12 Tribes of Israel and plays a separate roll in heaven. Matthew 9:15 15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast. It is hard to know who Jesus was talking about when He said, "Bridegroom". Jesus was speaking of Himself as the Bridegroom and the Church as His Bride. So who are the guest of the wedding now that the Bridegroom (Jesus Christ) and Bride (Church) is known? Mark 1:8 8 I (John) indeed have baptized you with water: but he (Jesus Christ) shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. [Acts 1:5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence]. Mark 16:16 16 He that believeth and is baptized (not a water baptism) shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [Water baptism does not save you because your chosen before the foundation of the world to be saved. Eph 1:4] John 3:27 27 John (the Baptist) answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven. [The Holy Ghost convicts you to repent and to see the light and open your eyes to what you really are because it is not done on your own]

Now you can see how the Baptized Believer and the church is coming together because all Christians are baptized by the Holy Ghost and to join the local church one must be baptized by water as a confession of faith in Christ only but not all that are baptized are saved. Acts 2:46-47 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Here in this verse the disciples did: 1. Continued daily in the temple. 2. Broke bread from house to house. 3. Ate meat with gladness. What did the Lord do in the church? The Lord added to the church DAILY such as should be saved. The Lord called those of whom He wanted to be saved and only the Lord knows them all. Even we can't say with 100% that any one person is a Christian because only the Lord knows the heart of man according to Jer. 17:9,10. We can know about 98% if a person is saved but it is only the Lord's eyes that can see His heart. The invisible church is made up of baptized believer's but all believer's are saved by believing in Jesus Christ and all are wash by the Blood of the Lamb. The churches in Revelation chapters 1 to 3 are seven literal 7 churches in John's day that he wrote to in Revelation. They are also church history down through the age between the time of Christ until now. The church age during the 7 year Tribulation is one of the worst for their lack of faith. We are living in the age of church #6 which is the church of Philadelphia. The church, Laodicea will be the church age of the 7 year Tribulation and out of the Tribulation some will be saved. Colossians 1:18 18 And he (Christ) is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Hebrews 12:23 23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Note: So the firstborn is Christ and the name are written in heaven of the people chosen to be partakers of the bride of Christ. So what church is the Apostle Paul writing to? This is not the local church but baptized believer that make up of the general assembly or the church of Christ. Acts 8:35-39 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. 36 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

37 And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. 38 And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him. 39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing. Note: FIRST OF ALL! What did it take for the eunuch to be SAVED and BAPTIZED? This is all it takes to be saved. Salvation is a free gift and just that easy and like a baby being born, one has to grow in their faith and learn to walk as a Christian. SECOND OF ALL! What church did the eunuch just join? Philip never saw the eunuch again and without telling the eunuch what church to join. Acts 9:31 31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. Note: The word churches should be church because it is not talking about the local church but the "out-calleds". These are baptized believer that make up the invisible church or the bribe of Christ. REMEMBERING! That all believers are saved but not all that are baptized are saved because BAPTISM DOES NOT SAVE YOU ONLY BELIEVING IN YOUR HEART WILL SAVE YOU. Ephesians 5:24-25 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it (the church); [Which Christ did at the cross and not just the church but all that will believe on Him] The Invisible Church is invisible that it makes up all baptized believers from Peter [the first chosen by Jesus Christ] to the last baptized believer at the time of the Rapture of the Saints [When the baptized believers[saints] and believers(saints)]. Hence we can't see the whole congregation of the church of baptized believers, it is invisible to us and so named The Invisible Church, The Bride of Christ or The Lamb's Wife. The Foundation of the Church that Jesus Built - Part 4 The Universal Church This is a break in my work ------------------------------I Google the name Universal Church below--------------------Not my work below

Question: "What is the difference between the universal church and local church?" Answer: To understand the difference between the local church and the universal church, one must get a basic definition of each. The local church is a group of believers in Jesus Christ who meet in some particular location on a regular basis. The universal church is made up of all believers in Jesus Christ worldwide. The term church comes from at least 2 words. One of the words has to do with the meeting together or assembly (1 Thess. 2:14; 2 Thess. 1:1). This word is one that pertains to the work of God in saving and sanctifying believers as called-out ones. When the word church is found in the English Bible, the word used is this one. The second word is one that speaks of ownership and literally means belonging to the Lord. This is the word that is transliterated into the actual word church. This Greek word is only used twice in the New Testament and is never used directly naming the church (1 Cor. 11:20; Rev. 1:10). A local church is normally defined as a local assembly of all who profess faith and allegiance to Christ. Most often the Greek word ekklesia is used in reference to the local assembly (1 Thess. 1:1; 1 Cor. 4:17; 2 Cor. 11:8). There is not just one specified local church in any one area necessarily. There are many local churches in larger cities. The universal church is the name given to the church worldwide. In this case the idea of the church is not so much in the assembly itself but rather in those constituting it. The church is the church even when it is not holding an official meeting. In Acts chapter 8 and verse 3, one can see that the church is the church even when they at home. When examining the actual text of Acts 9:31, one can observe that the King James rendering of the word churches should actually be the singular church which describes the universal church not just the local churches. Some may try to describe the universal church as the invisible church. Be careful not to do this. The universal church is never described in scripture as invisible, and surely it was not meant to be invisible. Here are more verses that talk about the universal church:1 Cor. 12:28;15:9; Matt. 16:18; Eph. 1:22,23; Col. 1:18. The word Catholic (katholikos from katholou throughout the whole, i.e., universal) occurs in the Greek classics, e.g., in Aristotle and Polybius, and was freely used by the early Christian writers in what we may call its primitive and non-ecclesiastical sense. Thus we meet such phrases as the "the Catholic resurrection" (Justin Martyr), "the catholic goodness of God " (Tertullian), "the four catholic winds" (Irenaeus), where we should now speak of "the general resurrection", "the absolute or universal goodness of God", "the four principal winds", etc. The word seems in this usage to be opposed to merikos (partial) or idios (particular), and one familiar example of this conception still survives in the ancient phrase "Catholic Epistles" as applied to those of St. Peter, St. Jude, etc., which were so called as being addressed not to particular local communities, but to the Church at large. Not my work above -------------------------------I Google Universal Church Above-----------------------------

This is a break in my work BASIC IDEA: All believers baptized are part of the Universal Church or the Bride of Christ. If all the believers makes up the Universal Church then who are the guests to the wedding? Revelation 19:9 9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called (?) unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God. So who are called to be the guests? there are only three groups left. 1. The Old Testament saints. 2. The ones that died in the 7 year Tribulation. 3. The Angels. 1. The Bridegroom - Christ. 2. Bride - The Church. 3. The Guess - ? The Universal Church is made up of all believers from the time of Peter to the last believer saved just before the Rapture of the Church (all believers - the Church). Christ had Other Sheep that Heard His Voice Mark 9:38-39 38 And John answered him, saying, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and he followeth not us: and we forbad him, because he followeth not us. 39 But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man which shall do a miracle in my name, that can lightly speak evil of me. Luke 9:49-50 49 And John answered and said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name; and we forbad him, because he followeth not with us. 50 And Jesus said unto him, Forbid him not: for he that is not against us is for us". John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd. Note: So before I go any farther I want to point out these 3 verses are much OVERLOOKED in the Bible that came right from Jesus. It was no surprise to Jesus because He knew who they were and where they got their authority. The Bible says that Jesus knows all things and even the one's chosen of the elect or saved . So study these verses very carefully because Jesus said these things to the Apostles for a reason. There it is that other people had the authority and power to cast out devils. Remember that from the time Jesus was baptized to the time Jesus died on the cross was about three years. Later in the chapter you will see it come together like a puzzle. One example Paul was on the road to Damascus in Acts 9:1-9 and remembering Acts 2:47 that the Lord added to the church daily. In Matt.4:12 John the Baptist was cast into prison and in Matt.14:10 was beheaded by Herod.

Why Sunday Church the First Day of the Week

Matthew 28:1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre". Look also in Mark 16:2, Mark 16:9, Luke 24:1 and John 20:1. John 20:19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. Note: As of the time of the Apostles there were no names for the days of the week besides calling them by the number of the day. It was the first day of the week which is our Sunday. The Apostles did not call it the Sabbath day that will never change and it will always be on the seventh day of the week. John 20:26 And after eight days again his disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you. Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: Acts 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight. Note: Here is the math that puts it together and after eight days. Inside of counting from the second day, they counted from the first day of the week. For example: 1Sunday, 2M, 3T, 4W, 5T, 6F, 7S (seventh day), 8Sunday (the first day). The day of Pentecost (means fifty day) so 7 days (1wk), 7 days (2wk), 7 days (3wk), 7 days (4wk), 7 days (5wk), 7 days (6wk), 7 days (7wk) and one day gives you your fifty days (first day of the week). Matthew 12:1-2 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. 2) But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.

Mark 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: Note: Notice that Jesus was not plucking the corn because Jesus followed the law of Moses right to the letter. In Matt. 12:13 Jesus did heal on the Sabbath and yet no law was broken here. Jesus was trying to tell the Pharisees that "I made the Sabbath, can I not do with Sabbath as I see fit" and told them so in Matt. 12:8. You blame the Pharisees for the way they acted toward Jesus and neither Jesus but He had to blind them for election sake. They were still in the wrong and will be judged for their actions. This was written of again by Mark 2:23,24, Luke 6:1,2 but not in the Book of John. So why did Mark write what he did in verse 27 and not Matthew. They seen it from different point of view and does not make it more wrong or right. Lesson here is don't kick a brick wall with bare feet and except the fact that one Apostle seen thing the other one did not. John 7:22-23 22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. 23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? Note: It was the Jewish law that a baby had to circumcise on the eighth days by the law of Moses even if it fell on the Sabbath day. So the Jews could circumcise but it was unlawful for Jesus to heal on the Sabbath day. Jesus could see how they twisted His Sabbath just to accuse Jesus. Acts 18:4-5 4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. 5 And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. Colossians 2:16-17 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Note: Paul in Acts observed the Sabbath because that was where the Jews met in the synagogue every Sabbath day. Paul wanted to preach to a lot of Jews and that is where Paul found them to preach Jesus was Christ. Paul here is telling the believers that they are free from the Sabbath law. Sabbath day observers don't judge me because I gather on the first day

of the week for it was just a shadow of things to come. Did Jesus preach during His three year ministry just on the Sabbath day? Now think about that one. This verse in Colossians is the last time the Sabbath is mentioned in the Bible. For those that observe the Sabbath in just fine. The Sabbath day is the seventh day of the week just don't judge the people the meet on the first day of the week. Paul is not condemning the Sabbath just doesnt judge other people that observe the first day of the week (our Sunday). For the most part a lot of churches meet on the fourth day of the week (our Wednesday). The Baptism of the Church Acts 2:1-3 1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Note: This is the fulfillment of Matt.3:11 and again in Luke 3:16 speak of the fire that the church will be baptized in that Jesus spoke of in Acts 1:4,5 "And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5) For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence". The "ye" is not just speaking of the Apostles but the assembly and if you read chapters one and two than you will understand this. Here baptized is used different then John's baptism but it is the same type of baptism. The church was not dipped in water and to be dipped in water youre covered by the water. The church was covered by the Holy Ghost and the Holy Ghost came upon them. Now does "under the cloud, and all passed through the sea" in Cor. 10:1-21 make more sense. Acts 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Acts 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved. Note: This is the first time that the word church is used since the gospel of Matthew. The church was baptized with the authority and power from God in Heaven and the church grew after that.

The Phrase Church of God Acts 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. Note: The phase "church of God" is mentioned eight times in the New Testament and what they meant by that was in ownership like in God's church. The reason Baptist were called Baptist because they would not accept the authority of baptism from a none Baptist Church. A good book to read on this is the "Trail of Blood". It comes down to the matter of the authority to baptize. They refused to baptize any other way but the baptism of John the Baptist. No sprinkling and no infant and no church that did not have the authority. The Baptist Church would not accept the baptism of a church that was not Baptist. John the Baptist was a Baptist so they called themselves Baptist because they came from the line of John the Baptist. Reading up on the Baptist history will illuminate one's mind. Three different lines of church's The Baptist, the Catholic and the Protestant. they were called Protestant because they protested the Catholic church. Baptist was always Baptist down through the years to John the Baptist. The Nature of the Church that Jesus Built Romans 16:16 Salute one another with an holy kiss. The churches of Christ salute you. 1 Corinthians 12:27-28 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Ephesians 1:21-23 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all. Note: There is nowhere in the Bible to remotely show that the church was an invisible church or universal church. Invisible implies that I can't see the church and universal implies change. God says that "I change NOT". Could you see Christ having a universal wife or would Christ want a TRUE wife?

The Church that Jesus built is Independent Matthew 18:15-18 15 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17 And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican. 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 1 Corinthians 12:27-28 27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. Note: If a member has a problems then bring it to the church. Not a president, not a council or a board of directors. Notice that the government in the church is not on top of the list. The top of the list is Christ than Apostles and so on down. The church is an independent assembly that answers only to Christ. Having an office between Christ and the church is like having the neighbor taking care of the problems between a husband and wife. The Church and Her Mission Work Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: 1 John 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world". Sent forth <G649> ap-os-tel'-lo From <G575> (apo) and <G4724> (stello); set apart, i.e. (by implication) to send out (properly on a mission) literal or figurative :- put in, send (away, forth, out), set [at liberty]. Sent forth <G649> ap-os-tel'-lo as in just mission Sent forth <G1821> ex-ap-os-tel'-lo as in mission from point A to point B Sent forth <G1599> ek-pem'-po as in to dispatch from point A to point B Sent forth <G3992> pem'-po as in just to dispatch

Apostles<G652> ap-os'-tol-os From <G649> (apostello); a delegate; specially an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ [apostle] (with miraculous powers) :- apostle, messenger, he that is sent. Matthew 28:18-20 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Note: Notice that there is NO OFFICE or PERSON in between God and Christ, Christ (Husband) and His church (bride), or a church and her mission (missionaries). The only offices of a church are within that building that the church members vote on. 2 Corinthians 11:8-9 8 I robbed other churches, taking wages of them, to do you service. 9 And when I was present with you, and wanted, I was chargeable to no man: for that which was lacking to me the brethren which came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome unto you, and so will I keep myself. Philippians 4:15-17 15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. 16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. 17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Note: What Paul meant in verse 8 when he said "I robbed other churches" but Paul called them wages. Paul is not the only one that has taken money for their needs on a mission. The Apostles had done mission work all over that land from one church to another. The churches function was to preach the gospel to the world. The intimate Relationship with Christ and His Church Matthew 9:15 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Mark 2:19 And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast. Luke 5:34 And he said unto them, Can ye make the children of the bridechamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them? John 3:29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, which standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled. Ephesians 5:23-27 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; 26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, 27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish". 2 Corinthians 11:2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Note: Paul said that Christ is to His church as a husband to his wife. In verse 25 where Paul says "and give himself for it" is speaking of Christ that died on the cross for His church. That is the kind of love in John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" and John 15:13 "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". In the parable King's son wedding in Matt. 22:1-14 read it this way. The King is God, the son is Jesus Christ, the bride is the church (baptized believers) and the guests are the believers that are not baptized. Remember that a person DOES NOT have to be baptized to be SAVED. Revelation 19:7-9 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. 8) And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. 9)

And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.

Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. Note: The church could not be closer and more intimate to Christ than to be the bride of Christ. From becoming the church, seeing her as a bride to be, the ceremony in Rev.19:7, to the marriage supper of the Lamb in Rev. 19:9 and in Rev. 21:9 is the Lamb's wife. Members of the Invisible Church Church John 15:16-17 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another. Acts 13:48 48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained (appointed or determine) to eternal life believed. Ephesians 1:4 4 According as he hath chosen us (believers) in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Note: At no time was it your choice to be saved or to be a member of the church (baptized believer). You can be members of a church and be baptized but STILL NOT BE SAVED. Special Prayer and Thank You: Thank you Lord for without your help, mercy and guidance these words would never reach the four corners of the world. Thank you for the knowledge and opportunity to write and be counted worth to be used for your GLORY AND PRAISE. AMEN AMEN.
