Project No 4 Summarize visual thinking

Introduction To appraise and analyze Visual Thinking as a new approach to make students independents and guides of their own learning, its main purpose is to combine students ideas in order to make them visible, feasible and understandable for every single learner who is trying to take advantage of their thoughts related to the topics. Students are able to participate by providing the knowledge and applying previous experiences based on the contents to be taught by the instructor; however the main goal to achieve visual thinking in a traditional classroom is not to give students a full explanation about the theory or a guideline procedure to follow step by step but to let students take ownership of their learning process while they apply their knowledge and or any other idea that can be inferred in the developed tasks. What is Visual thinking? Visual thinking is a research based approach, focused on abilities, attitudes and alertness, which purpose is to enhance students personalities not only to develop students thinking skills but to integrate those skills to have a deeper understanding and a self-motivation to learn new contents given in the classroom. Visual thinking is focused on providing an environment that supports trust, openness and understanding; however, it establish a positive dialogue and challenge of mental models for new perspectives Visual thinking allows students to be engaged with their learning environment when they provide general or specific ideas based on their previous knowledge or thoughts associated to the topics using their creative imagination. A hugh concern to develop and to know deeply about the topics is built inside the learner attitude so that he becomes a problem solver of his societal needs. Visible Thinking involves several practices and resources; Teachers and students are allowed to use a high volume of "thinking routines" which can be classified as protocols and public speaking for exploring ideas of important topics, say fractions arithmetic, the Industrial Revolution, World War II, science fiction, social sciences, humanism, and psicology. A Visual

thinking scenario can be in motion when the teacher is brainstorming students ideas and then he implements an action plan using those ideas to be developed by the practitioners in their learning process context.
