DTM100

ETI and STI Transport Monitor for DAB/DAB+/T-DMB

The DTM100 is a stream status monitor and audio service decoder device for use in DAB, DAB+ and T-DMB transmission networks using standard ETI and STI formats. It analyses an incoming ETI/STI signal and decodes one user selected audio service. Typical applications: Monitoring/Surveillance of the DAB multiplexer output. Monitoring of audio services before or after multiplexing. Extraction of an ETI/STI service to be used for other purposes, e.g. to be inserted into other ensembles or for monitoring purposes Extraction and professional quality decoding of an audio service, e.g. for feeding FM transmitters.

BASIC FEATURES
Supports STI (EN 300 797) standard format. Supports ETI (ETS 300 799) standard format. Support ETI/STI over RTP (RFC3550) based protocol. Relay port signals alarm if ETI/STI data input criteria is not met. Balanced analogue and AES/EBU digital audio outputs of selected audio service. Digital audio output can be synchronised to an external AES/EBU reference (built-in sample rate converter). Headphone monitoring of decoded audio. SNMP v2 (traps only) for alarms. Web interface for monitoring and control. Selectable G.703 (NI), G.704 (NA), V.11 or IP input CRC calculation and check according to DAB standards. Reed-Solomon (FEC) decoding and check for G.704 (NA). All data inputs are ESD and G.703 over-voltage protected. Error logging

THE FOLLOWING CRITERIAS ARE MONITORED:

Input signal present (carrier loss) Synchronisation to DAB frames CRC fields in ETI frame Syntax in received ETI (or STI) frames, e.g. frame counter must increase with 1 each frame. For ETI: Consistency between ETI header and FIC. Check if streams are empty.
