Kindergarten Open House
An exciting time for everyone who has a kindergarten age child
Ridgecrest kindergarten parents are invited to the 63rd Kindergarten Orientation. It will be held from 6:00pm to 7:00pm on 7 September 2011 in classrooms 4 and 6. During this time, you can nd out information about our school, and meet Ms. Baker and Ms Harris.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide adults with an opportunity to learn more about supporting their child's transition to school. Because our time is limited, and the subject matter is important, we ask that this meeting be for adults only.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL IMPORTANT INFORMATION The rst day of school this year is 12 September 2011. School begins at 8:30 in the morning. If you child is eating a school breakfast, he or she may enter the building at 8:15 and go into the cafeteria. School ends at 2:55 in the afternoon. For the safety of your children, we ask that students arrive at school at 8:30 if they are
not eating breakfast, and be picked up at 2:55. This year, breakfast is $1.75, and lunch is $3.00. If you would like information about free or reduced price lunch, or an application, please visit the Ridgecrest oce, or the Shoreline School District website.

OCTOBER CONFERENCES This year, Elementary Conferences are scheduled 10.12.11 through 10.14.11. These days will be half days for our students. School will dismiss at 11:10am. Please make the necessary arrangements for your child.

Volunteering at Ridgecrest
few hours a week to support our school, we will take it! Many parents volunteer in their childs classroom. We also want you to know that you may volunteer for the school, too. We have many important tasks that need to be done such as laminating, photocopying, and being there for kids. To volunteer, stop by the Ridgecrest oce and complete a volunteer application form. Likewise, if you would like to nd out how to contribute to our school outside of our school hours, contact our Ridgecrest PTA.
