This means that whenever there is any alarm at one end, both the ends will show alarm conditions i.e. near end alarm for one end will display far-end alarm condition at other end. Alarm Indication An alarm is indicated by an asterisk (*) in the rightmost position in the display. WARNING! Before operating the toggle-switch or the push button-remember that certain parameters (eg Tx freq, Tx On/Off, Tx Power & Loops) may be changed by these keys which may in turn disturb the traffic. The new value is accepted by pressing the push-button twice when Execute? is shown on display. Consult your Superior before making any changes in the parameters of Hop.
If there is no solution by the above steps then remove the MMU from AMM & insert again (Jack-out Jack-in)& check the Alarm conditions, if the fault still persists consult your Superior. Looping Conditions 1) RF loop : The aim of RF (Radio Frequency) loop is to check the proper working of one Terminal, i.e. the communication between MMU & RAU, also the proper functioning of these two. If there are no alarms in one end after RF loop, that specifies that this terminal is free from any faults & the problem could be at the other end. : The aim of IF (Intermediate Frequency) loop is to check the proper working of MMU. If there are no alarms MMU at one end after IF loop, that specifies that the MMU is free from any faults & the problem could be in the Radio section.
2) IF loop
3) Tx/Rx loop : The aim of Tx/Rx loop is to check the proper working of E1 tributories. If there are no alarms in one end after Tx/Rx loop, that specifies that the MMU tribs are free from any faults & the problem could be elsewhere. After each loop confirm the availability of DIP from BSC. Note : If there are no alarms after RF loop that means the terminal is ok hence no need to check other loops.
