CONSPIRACY TO
EXTORT TRUSTS
Going by the governments tyrannical ways, individuals and organizations raising their
voices against corruption and black money, and trusts engaged into human and national
service will have to ask for their security from judiciary.
destroyed the wealth of the country, the government is now conspiring to
extort trusts now. In the guise of inquiry against patrons of religious, social and
spiritual trusts, the governments intent to malign them is evident. Otherwise, like Patanjali
Yogpeeth Trust, political parties would have made public the assets of their own trusts rather
than dictating over trust in the guise of probes against them. It is accepted that there are
lakhs of trusts in the country. Tere may be irregularities in some of them. But we will have
to accept the fact that in the 64 years, since independence, on an average only 20 percent
of the amount of tax collected by the government has been invested into developmental
activities, rest has been siphoned of. While this is other way round in religious trusts.
Also, there are no dearths of trusts that work with 100 percent honesty and that is evident
in their activities. People pay taxes only out of scare of law, rather than their own wish
and dedication to the nation, because tax earned by the government is not invested into
developmental activities and nation-building honestly and without due documentary proof also. While, the same
people donate money with full-dedication, on their own. I fail to understand, why is the government, for no reason,
bent on destroying our legacy, our ancient tradition, culture, Yoga, Ayurveda, spirituality, our language, our values,
ideals, humility and principles. Why is the government trying to destroy, rather than assisting, an individual or
an organization, who are engaged in character development, nation building, moral and spiritual development,
education, health, self-reliance, Swedeshi, water management, plantation, orphanage running and other meritorious
activities? Similarly, when an individual or organization spreads message to curb corruption and bringing back
black money, the government uses its full force to destroy that individual or that organization rather than protecting
them. It seems that in future, individuals and organizations raising their voices against corruption and black
money, and trusts engaged into human and national service will have to ask for their security from judiciary.
Judiciary becomes the only institution to ofer justice, when governments, by keeping aside the constitution,
independence, humanity, values, ideals and principles, start to extort rather than rule, and in the name of
democracy they develop corrupt systems to loot the country.
Like the diseases cancer, high blood pressure, obesity and T.B, fear, like a genetic disorder, has also entered our
psyche. People lack faith and confdence in them and have been sufering from depression even afer 1200 years of
afictions by foreigners and 400 years of slavery. Earlier, during the English rule or monarchy, people, out of fear
or due to social, familial, commercial and fnancial insecurity, never used to oppose corruption, corrupt systems,
black money build-up, and unprincipled rule. Even if somebody dared to, it used to be crushed brutally. Now we are
witnessing the same thing again but the fear now is from democratic tyrannical government. Now, we have several
such examples of suppression where RTI activists are killed.
In foreign countries, people who donate are encouraged, awarded and ofered incentives. Taxes are exempted. How
fruitful would it have been, had the government transferred responsibility, to the reputed trust with credentials, to
provide a few public services? Many trusts and organizations have a large group of people of impeccable character and
who have full dedication to service. So, had the government delegated its responsibilities to run schools, hospitals,
cottage industry, water management and other such activities of national importance, to a few ideal trusts, it would
have encouraged and inspired honest people, trusts and institutions. Te country also would have been partially free
from governmental corruption. I feel the government will defnitely introspect and think to decide in the interest of
the nation. In democratic system, government is not established to torture people; rather it is relied upon to fulfll its
constitutional and democratic responsibility.
In the current scenario, people have developed a serious lack of confdence in political parties and their leaders.
And only individuals, organizations, trusts and NGOs with principles are raising their voices against corruption and
black money. So, the governments intent to keep high government ofcials out of the purview of the Lokpal and
bringing in NGOs and trusts under it in its draf of the Lokpal Bill raises serious doubts.

are proud of our golden past. We are proud
of our ancestors knowledge, their lives and
character, which inspire the whole world
even now. We are proud of countrys legacy
and heritage of social, familial, economic,
spiritual and political system. We are proud
that we are the frst country to give frst
language, culture and civilization to the
world. When the world was unable to think
about development and human quest was
confned to food and shelter, our ancestors
believed that a human being is the best
creation of the God. But, need for the
development of human beings is supreme,
because despite human beings the most
intelligent among all creatures, humans can
not learn anything on their own. So, our
ancestors, Gautam, Kanad, Kapil, Jaimini,
Patanjali and Vyas and others founded the
education system. Not only that, when a
falling of disease used to be understood
as unfortunate and divine infiction, then
thousands of years ago, Maharishi Charak,
Sushrat, Dhanvantari and others got us
medicinal system. Te thought of a nation
and its organization and defenses was also
given by our ancestors. Te prevailing
strong political systems from Maharaja
Yayati to Prathiviraj Chouhan were also
ours. Political, economic and legal systems
prevailing in the world are Indias legacy to
it. Development of science and technology
and manufacturing, from needle to
aircraf to ships, all happened in India.
Vedic mathematics, astrology, astronomy
and other knowledges were all scientifc.
We always set sacred high standards for
humanity. I had to write all this because
the country which set high ideals and
principles in the past, the same is being
destroyed in the country. My heart aches
to see corruption overtaking moral values,
lies and dishonesty overtaking truth,
violence, brutality and bestiality overtaking
non-violence. In independent India the
independence, which was attained afer the
sacrifce of lakhs of martyrs and Mahatama
Gandhis ways of truth and non-violence,
democracy constitution, humanity and
values are being put to the torch. If
somebody tries to eradicate corruption
and black money, then a conspiracy to
fnish him is also hatched. Te truth is
that the confagration and public anger
against corruption, corrupt system and
black money can be suppressed for a while
but it can not be destroyed. Rather, those
who conspire to destroy it will themselves
meet their ends, though it will take some
time. A consensus against black money and
corruption has built-up. A change is evident
now. A price is paid to establish the truth.

Every revolutionary from Ram and Krishna
to Socrates, Jesus, Mohammed Saheb, Adi
Shankaracharya, Maharishi Dayanand have
paid such a price. Following the duties of an
ascetic, a Yogi and a citizen of this country,
I have raised my voice against corruption,
black money and prejudiced, exploitative
unjustifed systems and laws. What crime
have I committed by doing that?
Being a responsible citizen myself and 121
crore people of the country must raise their
voice against corruption, black money,
injustice and exploitation. We will struggle
and continue this movement till an ideal
political system is established in the country.
We will continue this movement till the
country gets black money back, till the
corruption is curbed, till the exploitation of
people in the guise of providing education,
health, social and economic justice
continues. We will put all our energy in the
movement and emerge winner. Politically
the country is facing troubled times. People
who are silent or indiferent at this moment
are also equally responsible for this state-
of-afairs. I will also exhort them that they
also come forward to fulfll their duties to
the nation and get the country social and
economic justice.
I pity so-called intellectuals on their
bankruptcy of their intellect, who write
columns in print media and criticize
baselessly and advise me what to do and
what not. I started from zilch born in a
farmers family. I worked hard following
principles of truth, dignity and served
people explicitly and implicitly. I directed
them on the path of spirituality and
inspired them to lead a life full of health,
full of knowledge and free from addiction.
Whatever social, economic and spiritual
means I attained I put them to use with full
honesty. I have served people by running
millions of free Yoga classes, cheap and
reliable Ayurvedic medicine with free
services of about 2,000 trained therapists,
an ideal university, merit-based admissions
in Ayurveda college, Gurukul, Goshala,
an idea of self-reliant India. We also
ran food relief operations in Bihar, and
during Tsunami. We honoured martyrs of
Mumbai 26/11 by organizing a national
event. We built housings for poor, started
free kitchens for thousands. Directly or
indirectly millions of farmers and people
benefted from our Food Park. People fail
to see activities like blood donation camps,
anti-addiction movement, plantation and
arranging marriages for poor girls and so
many others, run by our trusts. Tey can
only see assets of the trust and fnd faults in
the organization and the thought behind it.
I fnd it appropriate not to speak about those
people. More than 100 crore people have
directly or indirectly benefted form the
services of Yoga and Ayurveda organized
by Patanjali Yogapeeth. Moreover, 700
crore people will learn about Indian culture
and Yoga.
If the economic value of all the services
provided by Patanjali Yogapeeth is to be
quantifed, then millions of rupees have been
saved by treating people and many of them
have earned millions afer getting cured.
Whenever any person works hard, without
self-interest then he or she progresses
naturally and is endowed with splendor also
and he always uses them for serving people.
But, some people under the human frailties
of jealousy, hatred and desires, could only
see assets and splendors not the services
and hard work behind it. We availed
services of haves and ofered services to
helpless people. My aim in life is not to see a
single person, economically and spiritually
poor in the country. Our ancestors never
assumed poverty to be a sign of spirituality
and religion. If some illiterate people believe
poverty to be the sign of spirituality and
religion and then want all the country to live
in poverty then they will obviously doubt
integrity of Baba Ramdev.
Whatever I earned with out dishonesty and
trickery, I submitted all to serve the people.
I have produced accounts of each single
penny to the people and the government.
I have vowed to struggle and serve till
the last breadth with out bothering about
humiliation and criticism. Tis is what
have been the ideals of our ancestors and
the same is ordained in the scriptures
also. If we want to be a patriotic citizen
and want to build an ideal nation then it
would be possible only by according equal
economic and social justice. It would also
inculcate among people the sense pride
and nationalism. If the citizens of a country
happen to lead a life in poverty, illiteracy
and helplessness, they are less likely to be
patriotic. Tey have a fair chance to turn
to naxalism and terrorism. Patriotism can
not be aroused by slogans but it will be
refected if people have equal rights in the
national resources of the country and get
basic amenities; if they have high value
system inculcated in them.

parties agreed on several issues like bringing
legislation on land acquisition, running parallel
courses in Hindi and other regional languages
in government medical colleges, engineering
colleges and agriculture institutions, Lokseva
Guarantee and other such laws. Ten, where
did the talks go wrong? Tis is very important.
Congress ministers tell lies like Pakistan does
on terrorism. Pakistan says it wants to end
terrorism but the fact is that it has become the
biggest hotbed of terrorists. Similarly congress
ministers say that they consider black money
deposited in foreign countries as national
assets and this must return to the country.
Te government believes that this crime is
crime against the state but constitutionally
they would not accept it. Te talks failed here
and negotiations stopped. Tey said you end
this fast as the image of the country and the
government is getting tarnished. We said that
writing this column for brothers and
sisters who stood on the grounds of
truth and faith and are with us in the movement
against black money, corruption and corrupt
systems. Nor for those who have criticised,
rebuked and opposed the movement. We have
so far answered all the meaningful questions and
will continue to do so. Te express interest of
this letter is to let everybody know the truth of
the blackest night on the 4th of June, 2011. And,
the other motive is that some shrewd, selfsh,
fools, who have been surviving on black money
and are trying to falsify the reality may not be
able to spread lies and confusion in the society.
If in democracy these selfsh, shrewd people, so-
called intellectuals, surviving on black money
have right to write and speak in the media
then nobody can take away our fundamental,
constitutional, democratic and human rights to
speak and write the truth.
Almost all the people in the country know the
truth that Swami Ramdevji was fghting against
black money, corruption and corrupt system
in a manner which was democratic, peaceful
and constitutionally correct. Tere was nothing
wrong in it. Black money will come back to
India not to Baba Ramdev. And if Baba Ramdev
happened to be on wrong footing, then why
were there four cabinet ministers to receive
him? If Babas demands were undemocratic
and unconstitutional and if his fast-unto-death
was not in the interest of the nation and people
then why government and Baba both declared
it appropriate in the interest of the nation and
people. And if our movement was correct then
why the government in the middle of the night
took a brutal and barbaric action against children,
mothers, ordinary people and women? Why
did the government murder the constitution,
the democratic values, the humanity and the
independence of the people? By doing so, why
did the government bring disrepute to the nation
and to the democracy?
I want to bring out to your notice some of the
facts and truths about the sins the central
government committed, about the conspiracy
to kill Swami Ramdev, about our mistakes and
future course of action Having contacted 10
crore people during the 9 month travel all over
the country, when Baba reached Delhi for his
scheduled program at Ramlila Maidan, then
four cabinet ministers discuss with him possible
reforms on corruption, corrupt system and black
money. Tey assure us that the government is
seriously considering our demands and soon

act of terrorism against Baba. Baba did not sleep
in the designated tent otherwise he would have
been killed. Other plan was that to shoot Baba
Ramdev and the police would have spread this
propaganda that Babas supporters themselves
shoot Baba. But Baba did not fall into the hands
of the police. Tirdly, police knew that Baba had
gone on to the stage so they set the stage on fre
thrice and launched tear gas shells, shot at the
stage but Baba had gone to a safe place in the
Ramlila Ground itself. Babaji protected his life to
protect the country. We do not consider this an
act of bravery that Baba be killed by the police
acting on the behest of the government.
As far as the mistakes committed during the
movement are concerned, the biggest one was
that we assumed that in India democratic systems
prevail under a functioning constitution and
everybody has a fundamental right to express
peacefully in the interest of the nation and the
people. And the government, using brutal force,
crushed this movement momentarily keeping
aside all democratic norms. Despite that millions
of people are with us confding their faith and
truth. So we will inject more strength into the
movement and will fght till the last breadth. We
will fght for economic and social equality and
establish a political system which is free from
corruption and black money. On the one hand,
we want this country to attain supreme spiritual
power in the world and on the other we want
this country to become economic superpower as
well by bringing in black money form the foreign
countries. We want to build a splendorous nation
by following the principles of Swadeshi, federal
development and spiritual socialism.

black money through international gateways,
immigration department and ambassadors of
the tax-heaven countries. We also suggested the
government must start reviewing the status of
money coming from Mauritius.
Afer many deliberations, they promised they
would do it in three days time. We said that if the
government gives all this in writing we will end
our fast. Te government played with this letter
and talked of fxing the fast and tried to falsify
the matter. Even then, when government failed
it resorted to stomping down this movement
brutally, forgetting all the democratic, human
and constitutional values. On the 4th of June,
millions of people had gathered from 624 districts
of the country and the government panicked,
seeing this kind of support to the movement and
it conspired to kill ordinary patriotic citizens.
Te Prime minister says that it was unfortunate
then why did the government commit such
a sin? Te answer to all the citizens lies in the
fact that the people, who themselves own this
black money, how can they declare it a national
asset? And how can they declare this crime as
crime against the state? Tis means that this
money belongs to the people in the government,
their protected fellow beings and those who are
surviving on it. As far as Baba Ramdevs failed
conspiracy is concerned, Delhi Police itself sent
a fake e-mail to all media houses that his life was
under threat. Te scheme of the police was that
the administration would kill Baba Ramdev and
later this e-mail would corroborate this to be an

A request to the
Prime Minister
for an impartial, just, meaningful and
qualitative change in the system
to grow sufcient edible oil and purposes
to feed our fellow citizens. We import a
huge amount of such stufs from abroad.
Given this requirement, if we continue to
acquire agricultural land for non-agricultural
purposes, it will defnitely be fatal step to our
agriculture.
2. Government should ensure a due
source of income for our farmers so
that they could maintain a respectable
living standard.
It is equally important to regulate the trade
activities of seeds and fertilizer companies so
that their business interests could not go against
the interests of our farmers. Likewise, it is also
needed to impose a ten year's ban on feld trial
and commercial release of BT brinjal and other
genetically modifed seeds until study on their
harmful efects are not completed.
Government should restrain itself from
endangering the lives of millions of people for the
beneft of a few companies. It is also an important
duty of the government to have strict regulation on
the prices of seeds to let the farmers to have access
to the seeds as per their agricultural requirements.
For instance, the price of tomato seeds varies
from Rs 475 per kg to Rs. 76,000 in the markets.
Similarly the price of capsicum seeds varies from
Rs 3670 to Rs. 65,000 for per 200 kg. Tere should
be a seed corporation in every district across the
country that would provide the seeds of local and
traditional crops through pollination technique.
Tere should be a seed bank on such centers where
seeds could be stored and distributed easily.
Government should also bring in a policy to
promote organic fertilizers, pesticides and
insecticides. Tis will provide pure and healthy diet
for our fellow citizens which is their fundamental
right. Organic farming will protect our livestock,
our agricultural land. Tis will also keep us
healthy. Organic farming will also check the loot
of crores of Rupees that is taking place in the
name of selling chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
Government should also take steps to ban the 67
To Te Prime Minister, Dear Sir,
(A) 1. For a comprehensive change in the
land acquisition law and pro-farmers
policy,
it is required to ensure that land acquisition
policies should not go against our national interest
and the interests of our farmers as well. Land under
a farmer's possession should not be acquired by
going his will in the name of industrialization and
urbanization. If it is so necessary to acquire to acquire
a farmer's land under extreme circumstances, it has
to be done by giving him (owner that is a farmer
in this case) proper compensation and permanent
source of livelihood. If land is being acquired in the
name of development, it should also be ensured
that farmers should also get a due share in the
proft earned through the development process.
Following are the points which should be taken
into account in this matter.
According to the 73rd constitutional
amendment, a Gramsabhas (a panchayatiraj
institution) are entitled to decide on the issue
of development in their respective villages.
But today's land acquisition norms are against
this particular constitutional provision. It is
necessary to take the approval of Gramsabha
for land acquisition.
We need to have a comprehensive law for a
farmer's land and his livelihood so that they
could get due compensation for their land
and their due source of livelihood and proper
rehabilitation could be ensured.
In developed countries like USA, agricultural
land is rarely acquired by the government for
non-agricultural purposes. Since 1990 to 2002,
only 8.25 lakh hectare of agricultural land was
acquired by the government for non-agricultural
purposes in USA. Whereas in India, 21 lakh
hectare of agricultural land was acquired for
non-agricultural purposes during that period.

other poor families are getting selected in these
examinations. Now we demand the government
of India to give equal importance to our national
language and other vernacular in our entire
educational system. Government should also
bring in a phase wise manner, a transparent and
long-term and short term policy in this matter.
It is ironical that our farmers are well versed in
vernacular but our agricultural scientists are taught
in English in Agriculture Universities. When these
scientists interact with the farmers, they are unable
to communicate with them properly. If farmers are
Indian, scientists are Indian then what is wrong in
allowing education in Indian languages. Similar
things are applied in the medical and engineering
felds. It is what a great irony that our representatives
seek votes from people in Indian languages but all
government works are done in English which is a
foreign language.
Terefore it is our humble request to
the Prime Minister to allow entrance
tests, education, and publication of text
books in at least three streams- medical,
engineering and agriculture- in
national language and other important
Indian languages besides of English by
the year 2012-13.
Government can fnd sufcient number of teachers
who are well versed in teaching the students in
Indian languages. Likewise it also doesn't have any
problem in the translation of the text books.
2. But strong will power is a must for doing these
things. In his book Hind Swaraj, Mahatma Gandhi
always stressed on the need to give education
in Indian languages. We should place yoga,
spiritualism, morality and Sanskaar in entire of our
education system. It is necessary to build up right
character of our fellow citizens. If we ignore good
habits in our educational system we will produce
only literate people without spirit who will be
indulged in ill practices like corruption and scams.
We should not forget that whatever we are today, it
only because of our good habits and right thinking.
Giving a right place to purity and good habits in our
life style is a must and all such factors were a part
of our ancient educational system. During British
rule, TB Macaulay had destroyed our Sanskaras
and spiritual values.

demands of our nation to portray a true India in
types of pesticides which are already banned in
developed countries. Such deadly chemicals are
openly selling in our country. Government
should make provisions in the 12th fve year plans
to bring 25 percent agricultural land under non-
pesticide management on the basis of community
co-operation. Andhra Pradesh government has
decided to bring one crore hectare agricultural
land under non-pesticide management and 40 lakh
hectare land has already been brought under this
management process. It is needed to implement
this formula at the national level. Te kind of
facility and high subsidy is available to the farmers
of USA; similar facilities are also required to be
made available to our farmers. Doing this will help
our farmers to protect their global interest. For
this, we need to set up a National Farmers Income
Commission. It is also needed to implement a
'farmer's income guarantee act' so that per acre
income for the farmers could be ensured on the
basis of their labour and investment.
As long as the agriculture continues to be a defcit
business, till then the condition of our farmers will
continue to be miserable and they will continue to
commit suicide. Moreover, government should not
allow multi-brand retail foreign direct investment
for the trade of agro-products to protect the
interests of farmers. It is also required to promote
food processing industry, storage of food grains,
traditional seeds and safety of crops. To make India
self-dependent in the production of sugar, food
grains, fruits, pulses and edible oils, and to make
our farmers immune to the natural calamities like
food and draught, it is very necessary to ensure 24
hour water and electricity supply to our farmers.
It is also required to give impetus to our agro-
production mechanism.
We also need to set up community food grains
bank in every Gram-Panchayat to make our public
distribution system (PDS) efective. Government
should purchase food grains at local level and store
them in these banks. Tis has to be distributed to
the local people through PDS. Tis will help us to
save our resource that is wasted in transportation
and storage form one place to another.
(B) Education of science and technology
has to be given in vernacular and it
is also required to induce high moral
values, Sanskar and spiritualism in our
education system.
1. If there happens to be injustice and partiality
with 99 percent people in the feld of education,
it is the biggest blot on our democratic system. If
the developed countries like France, Japan and
Germany can provide from general to higher
education to their citizens in vernacular, why we
can't do this? It is important to note that since it
was allowed to conduct IAS and IPS examinations
in vernacular besides English, children from lower
strata like children of poor farmers, labourers, and

deem, the Government of India would agree to
our demands. We just want to build a strong India,
corruption free India. Te Government should
perform its all democratic responsibilities to make
the nation free from corruption and should stick
to indicate that the path of peaceful development
can lead a nation to development. Here, few facts
are detailed related to above all three demands:
1. Immediately sign and ratify the UNCAC -
United Nations Convention against Corruption.
2. True democracy needs no compulsion to vote
and its impact can be seen in more than thirty
counties.
3. Rajiv Gandhi was in favour of direct election for

and other veteran leaders have supported this.
I hope Government of India will consider our

Elections have been held almost continuously since
independence in 1947, leading to major political
changes. How successful is democracy in India?
India is democratic country as papers (constitution)
say. However, voting system is total failure in India.
India lacks the classic ingredients of modernity said
to be necessary for democracy. Corruption actually
increased in many transition countries afer the fall
of communism and the adoption of democracy.
If our democratic system was apt enough, strong
enough, then the magnitude of corruption would
never be projected at such giant level. Few people
misused the easy electoral process for their personal
gain. Tis includes purchase of votes with money,
promises of ofce or special favors, coercion,
intimidation etc. Such incidents led to the rampant
of corruption within the system, and few honest
people deviate from the formal duties of a public
role, because of few ones private gains, pecuniary or
status gains. Corruption is a behavior which violates
rules against the exercise of certain types of duties.
Tere should be state funding of elections to
enable transparency in the system. State funding
of elections and transparency in political donations
are a good option to curb corruption. A provision of
punishment should also be formulated for corrupts.
Idea is to create courts at levels, the state and central
level to tackle the corruption cases. A direct election
should be initiated for the post of Prime Minister
of the country. Candidate for the post should be
directly elected by the Citizens of India. I strongly

is a good idea since it has increased the
fear among common people for fake note.

Lokpal Bill to contain corruption:
Lokpal Bill must be given enough power
that if a person sitting on a constitutional
post found guilt, a suitable action can be
taken. A strong Lokpal Bill will create
draconian bureaucrats. Tere should be a
clause of providing death penalty to those
found guilty in corruption cases. should
get death sentence if found guilty. We
should have separate courts to deal with
corruption cases. Exemplary punishment
should be given to the culprits. Tey
should be given capital punishment. Our
agenda is to save the country and make
economically most strong.
Government should give us in writing
that they will meet our demand.
Te beleaguered common man is sufering

tax havens abroad. Te immigration
department can be asked to provide

three classes:
a) People who visited Switzerland or any

pained for the nation?
times, the people may be heard say-
ing that why only Baba Ramdev is
pained with the prevalent corruption in the
nation. When he does not have any lust for
power, position or assets, why he is bearing
this pain? Availing the opportunity, with
full honesty and sincerity I want to express
my sentiments. I believe and consider India
as my mother and also follow it religiously.
Tus, I view corrupt political conspiracy, de-
clining democratic and constitutional values
as misconduct and immorality towards moth-
er India. I am not a coward, weak slave of a
helpless son of motherland, who would toler-
ate it all quietly. I would not accept corrupt,
dishonest and criminal elements and traitors
betraying the nation sitting comfortably. I
consider nationalistic as pure as religion and
sacred as praying to almighty, recitation of
sermons or visiting the church. Even afer
seeing misbehavior with my mother, I would
not sit quiet. I have openly revolted against
the corrupt and rotten political system of the
nation. And we all would join hands together
to end prevalent corruption from the nation.
Now we won't stop or bow down but would
take rest only afer corruption is wiped out
of the nation and our goal is achieved. We all
would work in tandem to realize the dream
of a glorious India free from unemployment,
poverty, fear and hunger. I am confdent
enough that crores of people, who are na-

terrorism is increasing on a daily
basis in India. Revered Swami Ramdev ji
has blessed many with health with Yoga
and has now decided to terminate poverty,
terrorism and corruption from India. He
started a peaceful satyagraha and fast unto
death along with millions of his supporter
on 4th of June from Ramleela grounds,
Delhi and it was supported by resident and
non-resident Indians alike. For instance

with peaceful demonstrations. About a
thousand of non-resident Indians gathered
in London on 4th June believing that the
Government of India has accepted and

enough to initiate jubilations amongst the
supporters, but this happiness lasted only
for few hours as in night itself phone

High Commission asking them why the
Police acted so brutally on the peacefully
sleeping people on the Ramleela grounds.

of U.K was contacted on 5th of June and
was briefed on the attrocities commited
on the peacefully sleeping people gathered
to showcause support against corruption
and black money and was requested to
communicate with Mr. Nalin Suri the
Indian High Commissioner on the same.

Indian organisations and all non-
resident Indians were contacted via email
requesting them to communicate with the
Indian High Commision why barbarism
is being executed on peacefull gatherings
against humanity and to send apologies to
Swami ji and Indians who bore the burnt

asking them about this situation.

during rainy season
Our body is inuenced not only by food but our ambience also has a major impact
on us. One ailment gets intensied in one season while some other one dies down. In
some other season its ontrary will take place

Te Visarga season come in the
beginning. During this time in all
the directions the sky becomes cloudy. Dryness also
prevails along with greenery in the environment. Due
to moisture mosquitoes and fies enhances spreading the
stench.
Rainy season
Efect on the body
Te digestive power becomes low due
to moisture in the environment. Te
digestive power already is very low in
the Automn. During the rainy season
defect aggravates due to moisuture. Te
Gas released from the soil due to the rain
drops gets burnt and causes more acidity,
and the efect of air that contains dust and
fumes also shows on the digestive power.
If rain doesnt appear in between the heat
grows more, resulting in accumulation
of Pitha dosha in the body. Even the
energies of Wheat, rice and vanaspati also
become weak.
Due to the above reasons Filaria fevers,
colds, wheezing, Dysentery, Tuberculosis,
Burning in intestines,Arthritis, Joint
pains, high B.P, Eczema , Ringworm and
other infectious deceases alarmingly
raises.
Proper dietary habits:
It is good to consume light, hot and
fresh sof food that is convenient to the
digestive system. Stufs that can control
gas are to be consumed. And hence, old
rice, wheat, jowar,corn,raw rice, mustard,
Keera, Khichdi, maize, groundnut, red
gram, and vegetables like bottle gourd,
ladies fnger, snake gourd, tomato, Mint
leaves chutney, soup etc., and fruits like
apple, banana, pomegranate, native pear,
blackberries, mangoes ripened in the tree,
and items like mixture etc., that prepared
in the oil are good to eat. Mango and
milk are benefcial in this season.
Mangoes should be sweet and fresh.
Te mangoes artifcially ripened by
using the carbide chemicals are
generally sold by the vendors. Tey are
very harmful. Eating ripened mango
and drinking milk keeps the body
strong.
Te body gets good strength if only
mango juice is consumed instead of
a meal. Te body stays healthy and
beautiful with this. Similarly well
ripened, pulpy black berries with out
Scars should be consumed to control
skin deceases, scars, boils, burning,
and
Diabetes. Consume maize with butter
milk for good digestion.
Consumption of Lassie added with
clove, Trikatu, dry ginger, pippali,
Pepper, rock salt, vamu and Petluppu
enhances the digestive power. Add
honey to Garlic chutney and also
any other ingredient which is not
hot can be consumed. Katu, Acidic
and Alkaline substances are to be
consumed in this season to tame the
Vayu,Kapha Doshas.
Te Vayu dosha get subsides if
acidic, salty, sore and fatty substances
are consumed. Tis kind of stuf
helps more when the atmosphere is
cloudy and when there are severe
rains. Harithaki churna with rock
salt is to be consumed in the form of
biochemical.
Take precautions to consume pure
and clean water in this season. Te
rain water is very pure. When it is
Tank, river or well water it should be
boiled and consumed. Ocimum, Rice
and Alum should be ground well and
mix in the water to get purity. In the
modern age purifers like flters can
be used to purify water. It is good
to take water adding little honey
in it. Massage, rubbing and heat
fermentation is also gives benefts
to the body. Ensure the dress to be
clean. If gets wet change the dress

decease. Hence insecticides are to be used. Keep
more concentration on cleanliness.
Improper dietary habits
During the rainy season it is harmful to consume

month is prohibited. Sleeping in the daytime,
roaming in the hot sun, excess of coition, long
walks, and severe exercise is also harmful.
Eating something ofen, excess of eating, eating
when there is no appetite should be avoided.
Avoid consuming curd and buttermilk during
nights. Should not lay down with wet cloths
on the bed. Ensure no moisture at the joints
especially between the thighs.
Should not eat fruits and vegetables with
out having washed. Purify and use the water
drawn from the rivers and tanks, if it is
unclean. Should not consume laxatives when
the weather is cloudy. Rub ice piece on the
heat eruptions or use any other convenient
Medicines. One can enjoy the rainy season
totally if they follow the proper and improper
dietary habits and live accordingly.

K. 19th June | Te largest democratic country
in the world witnessed the darkest night in its
history on 5th of June. Tousands of people gathered
with Swami Ramdev ji proving their support to him,
thinking they are safe with him. Teir safety was
further guranteed by the same government which
allowed them to gather there. But they never would
have thought that they would be made to run for
their lives barbariously at midnight.
Every Indian citizen has full right to ask for and
oppose against their basic human rights. But the
Indian government has undemocratially and illegally
attacked the common people protesting peacefully
for their rights thus opressing them against their
constitutional rights.
Many NRI's and POI's residing in U.K. are hurt and
worried about the unfortunate incident that happened
in India A member of 'Action against Corruption'
and a trustee of Patanjali Yogpeeth (U.K.) said that all
non residents of India are hurt deeply and amazed at
this heinious display of power by the current Indian
government and no explanation or apology could do
justify what has happened.
Proving their unity against this act, a peaceful march
was organised on Sunday, 19th June in front of the
Parliament House and Old Palace Yard in London
which proved to be a succesfull event and more than
500 people including council members, Member of
Parliament, local residents, tourists and members
from around 200 Indian organisations based in U.K.
registered themselves for this march.
Sunita ji thanked all participating people and
organisations and said we would continue to suport
Baba Ramdev, Anna Hajare and anyone fghting
against corruption. People participating with black
bars on their arms have proven their support to the
Indian Public and for their welfare against corruption
which is spiralling down the life of India on a daily
basis.
At noon 1:00 PM (exactly afer 14 days and 12
hours of the attack on the Indin commoners), the
participating members held silence for 2 minutes in
the memory of their kith and kin residing in India
who were all beaten black and blue by the Indian
Police when they were participating pacefully in a
camp against corruption and black money.

Attaining
GOD is
the goal of
my life
Vivekanand was born on 12th
January, 1863 at the home of Shri
Vishwanathdutt in Calcutta. His mother
Bhuwneshwari Devi was a religious and
tradition following hindu women. Shri
Vishwanathdutt was a prosperous and
generous person at heart. His childhood was
spent amongst a pleasurable environment.
His childhood name was Narendrnath and
he was naughty and mischievious too, at
times even his parents got irritated with his
mischiefs. But even then he was a bit diferent
then other kids.

Tough he had to tackle lots of obstacles from
family and society but he never lost on his
meditative silence. And his fathers demise
brought a huge change in him.
He bacame ascetic in 1881 pledging in front of
Paramhansa, who then gave him the immense
wealth of his supernatural knowledge and lef
for his eternal abode himself. Afer becoming
an ascetic he founded Ramkrishna Mission
and started teaching and propogating his
teachers principles. Swami Vivekanad then
started travelling all the pious places and
big cities in the country and spreading
dharma and religious teachings. His teaching
transformed many atheists into believers,
guided back people on track who seemed
to have lost it and the society thus found a
new relirgious self belief and confdence and
started following dharma, spiritualism and
philosophical approach towards life.
His frst lecture in Chicago (U.S.A.) in 1893
opened the western eyes and mindset of
many a western wisemen. Afer this his
lectures became so famous and people used
to gather inhumanly to listen to him. Many
a high profle cities of that time in America
hosted his lectures and many a news papers
and magazines published his lectures with
high praises. He showed the real knowledge
of Hindu Dharma to the residents of America
and he proved it that even today the western
world has to take spiritual lessons siting
patiently at the feets of India.
Afer America, Swami ji was invited to
England and their also his lectures opened
new streams of pure love. All the important
cities in England hosted him and he was
honoured all over England and so Swami ji
kept on showing the western world the real
light of philosophy and spirituality for 4 years
and then he came back to India.
He was welcomed ceremoniously on his
return across India and then he served
the literary world with 'Vartman Bharat',
'Parivrajak', 'Bhaatwaar Katha', 'Prachya
aur Paaschatya' etc, which further helped in
regenerating a new India and also added on
to the literary base.
He fell in 1901 and could not recover from
there on even afer proper medical attention.
He lef his body in the night on 4th July, 1902
for his eternal abode at the Bailur-Math. He
was just 39 years old at that time and the
whole country got submerged in mourning.
Swami Vivekanand unfurled the fag of
Indian Meditation and Spirituality across
the western world. His work in the feld of
social and human uplifment along with his
religious initiatives could never be forgiven by
the human race.

N
arendra's mother was a religion-devoted
women always involved in worships and
godly deeds. So Narendra was infuenced too.
On hearing Ramayan and Mahabharat from
his mother herself, he became an ardent
follower of Shri Ram and Shiva. Following
his mother he used to ofer prayers to lord
Shiva on a daily basis. At times he used to
meditate along with his friends all around the
Shiva statuette. Meeting ascetics pleased him
to no limits. Ofering sacrilege to ascetics and
listening to them made him happy. He used
to ask his mother, 'if I would also become
ascetic would I be able to see Lord Shiva?'
At such moments his mother used to hug
him with pleasure as she didn't knew then
that her Narendra would become a famous
ascetic one day.
His childhood education started at the age of
5 at home itself and he covered his primary
education in no time. He got to meet Shri
Ram Krishna Paramhansa in November
month in 1880. Paramhansa knew at once
that this young men would one day disperse
knowlege to one and all in future. Narendra
was also impressed with Paramhansa's
supernatural persona, humble behavious
and selfess teachings. He started visiting
Paramhansa ofen in Dakshineswar, even
Paramhansa started preparing his follower as
his successor. Watching Narendra taking the
ascetic route, his father even tried to get him
married but Narendra refused to get married
and clearly stated that, 'attaining GOD is the
goal of my life and I would even sacrifce my
life for it.'
At the early stage Narendra had doubts about
the teachings and principles of Paramhansa ji
but soon he started following him blindly and
attained wisdom in philosohpy and vedant
got merged in continuous silent meditation.

Te problem of population growth is not that
big as compared to other countries, and if
our population could be taught about self-
dependence we could also control and balance
population growth.
Population
growth
should be curbed
F
rom the 1700 century onward as the
industrial revolution gained speed and
so did population too. In the last 50 years
the population growth rate has further
gained speed and the most important factor
in this regards is the advancement and new
inventions in the feld of medicinal sciences
and the agricultural revolution specially
due to the green revolution from 1960 to
1995. As per UNO population department
has predicted that by 2055 the total global
population would be cross 10 billion mark.
In future it has been predicted that the
overall population would reach its peak
and post it due to economical, health issues,
scarcity of land and environmental changes
it would start reducing atutomatically.
Te Indian population as per population
censex in 2001 was around 1.028 billion
and it has been predicted that it would
continue to add on a population equal to
current Australian population in it on a
yearly basis. By 2050 India would have a
population around 1.53 billion and then
India would be the most populated country
leaving China behind as comparitively
China would have a total population of
about 1.39 billion.
India has set a goal of achieving a
substitution level by 2010 so that it could
achieve its biggest goal of population
stabilisation by 2045, this period of 35
years has been kept as time for population
impulse. Why is population increasing on
such a rate when child to women ratio is
decreasing on a yearly basis? Every year 18
million people are added on to the Indian
population as 50 percent of the total
population at present is of procreation
age group. Te high number of youth is
adding to the current population increase,
which is due to higher birth ration in the
last 20 years.
Te normal order on the population
Population
and development are two opposing factors. Limited
resources could never be distributed in a huge population
in a even way. A chapati could be shared by two, but if has
to be divided amongst 10 person then the situation becomes
a big problem. Te same situation is applicable on our
mother earth too. Limited geographical resources are being
consumed heavily due to continuous rise in population and
this all began from the time of industrial revolution.

increase in India is binary, every generation
is twice of its previous one! In the same
order the Indian population in 1930-32
was about 600 million and at present it is
over 1 billion. Natural resources are also
consumed at a much faster rate even then
the population growth rate could not be
controlled or brought to a balance. Tis
issue then further leads to other issues.
Agricultural produce on a yearly basis is
not enough and whatever is their, is highly
priced. In the same pattern other comodities
are also adding on the cost. Goverment is
lef with a little work in comparison with
the number of applicants hence leading
to unemployment. Te technological
advancement further depletes human
labour hours and so in this situation at this
stage population stability is a must.
In the western countries a lot of ways are
used to control population and sterilization
is one such way, these methods are being
used in India too but population is still out
of control. Tough hing population rate is
a serious issue at present but we could also
look at its other facets. Human manpower
is considered to be the national treasure so
it could be used in the construction feld
and many a pending projects could be
completed easily.
Indians are quite meditative and hard work,
cooperation, sufering and justice are our
qualities. On top of them we are idealistic
and coordinating. We know how to live
and lead a simple and balanced life style.
In such a country population growth is not
a big psychological problem as compared
to other countries. If our population could
be taught about slf-dependence we could
balance the population outburst. Te
rising population could help in creating a
propsperous and developed India. It is very
important to curb the high birth rate and
thus to stop population outburst.

e always stood like
Himalaya on his
principals and kept on
working towards his goals till
his last breath. His summary
for politics was 'Tit for Tat'
and he used this principal all
his life. He always revered his
cultural ethics and policies.
He loved th common men
and probably this was the
reason for his being popular
amongst them. He used to
participate in all festivals
and functions along with
common men and guided
them as and when needed
for their progress. He was
the frst person to bring
'Autonomy' to everyone's
notice.
He was born on 23rd July,
1856 in Ratnagiri, his father
Shri Gangadhar Ramchandra
ji was a Deputy Inspector for
schools in Pune. Lokmanya
was a intelligent child
since his early childhood.
By the age of eight years
he was fuent in Maths,
compounding cycles and
has learnt half of Amarkosh
by heart. At the age of 10 he
joined the Pune City School,
cleared 10th in 1872 and
completed B.A by 1876 from
Deccan College, cleared the
exam for law in 1879. He
was interestd in social work
from his college time and
decided that he would not
join any government job but
would work for social causes
throughout his life.
Indian does not know about Lokamanya Tilak who through continuous practice, hard ascetic
lifestyle and great sacrifce through all his life laid the foundation for our freedom. He was not
just an ardous and courageous freedome fghter but also a great philosopher and politician too.
His dynamic persona was as of knight in shinning armour which was further enlightened with his
knowledge, wisdome and simplicity. Te highlight of his life was his involvement with work.
His social work started
soon afer completing his
education and his frst
concern was towards
education and in the same
concern he founded 'New
English School' in 1890
which progressed well in no
time. On 24th October, 1884
with your eforts 'Southern-
Education-Comittee' was
formed and in 1885 through
this comittee Ferguson
College was founded.
And so through his work
he brought an education
revolution in Maharastra.
Around that time many a
wisemen were impressed
with Tilak ji's knowledge
and wise acumen. During
this time he wrote an article
on the basis of Astrology
for Oriental Society which
brought him international
name and fame. Ancients
texts were proven for their
age in this article, which was
later also published as a book.
Even western wisemen and
philosophers like Maxmueller
were also impressed and
highly regarded him for this
article.
Along with his work in the
feld of education for public
welfare he also started two
weekly news papers 'Kesri' in
English edited by his friend
Agarkar and 'Marhata' edited
by himself. 1914 brought civil
unrest in the country with
the onset of frst worldwar,
and Lokmanya gave the
slogan for Autonomy to the
country. He than started
travelling all over the country
to unite the country and
everywhere his slogan for
autonomy could be heard
loud and clear: "Autonomy
is my birthright and I will
have it"

of humanity. He used to
curb his instincts to keep his
revolutionay identity hidden.
Even afer being born in a
poor family and not having
higher education it is quite
commendable at the platform
where he reached fnally.
His progress should be
considered keeping in mind
about his situation from the
fact that he was born in a
religious family supporting
the 13th century ideologies
and moved over to be
reknowned as a frontline
leader of the Indian freedom
struggle. At the age of 14-15
years he ran away from his
home to reach Kashi to
study Sanskrit, got attuned
to the national deluge,
participated in satyagraha,
got caned for the same and
then joined revolutionaries.
He quit idol worship and
followed Aaryasamaaj under
the infuence of Ramprasad
Bismil and later on socialism
with Bhagat Singh. It
was now that he started
following secularism and
started thinking of a society
as following one common
religion and became the
prime leader of Indian
Socialist Democratic Army.
For sure he came over many
a hurdles while coming from
a staunch religious brahmin
family to a socialist young
leader in very less time. He
remaind free throughout his
life and this was the reason
why the British government
could not capture him alive.
And in order to die as a free
human he shot himself when
cornered at Alfred Park in
Allahabad.
A
zad used to believe that
freedom could not be
achieved by towing the line
of non-violence only. And
in the context of socialism,
leaving Bhagat Singh,
Azad stood equal amongst
his contemporaries in his
group. Bringing opression
to end, equality in the
society without any casteism
infuenced him a lot.
He was born in a very poor
family and he always felt
the scarcity in his personal
life and he has seen the lives
of aboriginal farmers and
workers around Bhavra and
surrounding places very
closely. He also had spent
some of his time amongst
labours in Bombay before
heading to Banaras and this
was the reason when he used
to discuss about farmers
and labours, their lives were
quite clear from his words.
His religious faith developed
with time as he was born in
a traditional religious family
from where he ran away
to Kashi and got attuned
to patriotism when he was
caned and then joined the
revolutionaries. Along with
Ramprasad Bismil he got
infuenced by 'Aryasamaaj'
and distanced himself from
idol worship and later on
infuenced by Bhagat Singh
started following socialism
leaving god behind.
One who follows socialism
could never be infuenced
by secularism and here Azad
was a staunch believer of
hindu-muslim unity. Afer
Bismil he was the best friend
of Ashfaqulla Khan. It is
true that he fought against
opposing factors of the
nation and society even then
his primary goal was the
national freedom only.

ven if we make number of plans or collect
resources but unless we work with a team
spirit and to work together for the common goal,
all preparations would be of no use. At present
we are lucky to have Swami Ramdev ji whose
Bharat Swabhiman movement is playing an
important role in uniting us all with one team
spirit to work towards one great goal. How many
could possibly contribute towards a social reform
even though having all capabilities in person. It
is much necessary that we cooperate and keep
our doors open for others to get benefts and thus
create or add on to one team spirit. By doing so
only, we could help and play active positive roles
in the Bharat Swabhimaan movement by Swami
Ramdev ji. If we are conscious towards our society
but lack collective eforts then we are unsure of
any form of success, but if we could see the same
with one team spirit, we would feel that nothing
is unachievable with unity. Team spirit extends
the same unity to unimaginable horizons. And, if
we could succeed in generating this team spirit in
the society that day is not far when we would see
the common goal of Bharat Swabhimaan meeting
success. If we are working towards the common

Te shape of Fruits
and Vegetables
Which resemble human limbs
It separates iron from hemoglobin,
and sends it to bone, marrow for the
fabrication of blood cells in them.
Bilirubin pigment is formed through
this separation. It forms antibodies.
Spleen acts like blood reservoir in
the case of emergency. Spleen has to
struggle with malaria fever and cancer
like diseases. It enhances its size for
that purpose. In these conditions, soup
can be prepared with cabbage and
broccoli like .vegetables. It works great.
Crusiferous Vegetables have many types
of cancer preventive phytochemicals

Lips like rose petals
Poets compare lips with rose petals. Tat
is true. Lips get natural red colour, and
healthy lips with gulkand, made of rose
petals and related constituents.
When we use lipstick colour for lips,
it automatically lessens oxygen to that
part. Lips give a dry look and they turn
to black colour also. When the lips gives
dry-feel, we wet them with the help of
tongue. Ten the cancer factors and

Amicable nature and positivism keeps

6. Adequate rest is to be taken. Give
rest to the soul afer the stressful daily

Corruption in our country has taken form
of a social evil. From a government clerk
to a minister in the government does not
inhibit from taking bribe and to overcome
this an ombudsman is to be brought
forward in motion and application. But by
when would it be possible? Nothing could
be said on this front and to awaken our
government in the same concern Swami
Ramdev ji started his fast unto death from
4th June, 2011. To overcome corruption a
satyagrah to fnish corruption was started
and all Bharat Swabhimaan co-workers
and Indian public tired of corruptive
system were participating. Tis satyagrah
was started considering our duties and
devotion toward our nation. At present
everyone in India is somehow hurt by
the corruption in the political system
and everyoe has the right to raise their
concern to correct this system.
Swami Ramdev ji himself initiated
the signature movement against black
money and corruption on 27th February,
2011 the birth date of famous martyr
Chandrashekhar Azad and Mahrishi
Dayanand ji to regenerate a healthy,
cultural and capable India. Tis signature
movement has to be taken to all the states,
all 624 districts, and 6 lakh 38 thousand
and 365 villages in India and all residents
of India irrespective of their age has to
join this movement. We would regenerate
a vast mandate against corruption and
black money through this peaceful, non-
violent and legal by constitution way.
Corruption has to be fnished at any cost.
All the black money safe in foreign banks
at the moment has to be brought back to
India. Our country and the government
have risen to this fact by Swami ji's fast
unto death, but Swami ji has said only the
fast has been brought to an end but not the
satyagraha, it would run continuously.
Te central government is not continuously
feeding the black money reserves by not
acting truly and honestly in this concern,
so does this government has any rights to
rule the nation? As the government has
taken any action to curb corruption and
black money so Swami ji started satyagrah
from 4th june at the Ramleela ground
in Delhi. Now, not even from Delhi but
Indians all over the world has joined this
satyagrah which brought the real face of
the current corrupt government to light.
In democracy the government is chosen
by common public to serve them better,
but here the government has turned from
saviour to devourer and its live example
is the attrocious way this government
has treated peacefully sleepig satyagrahis
with barbarism and the police crossed all
the limits of humanity.
Te government has for sure turned
devourer and instead of development it
is involved in destruction. Democratic
system has given way to corrupt system.
And now the patriotic public need to
uproot the current government and
should choose one such government
which would make strict laws to end
corruption and to bring back about 400
lakh crores of Indian currency at present
stashed in the foreign accounts and in
circulation in India should be put to
use for the uplifment of rural and poor
public and their condition. As per the

Nine Days of Satyagrah
by Swami Ramdev
4th June : At 7 am Swami ji started his fast unto death along with about one
lakh followers. In the evening at 5 pm Kapil Sibbal cleared about
Swami ji's letter about ending his fast. 1 am at night police used
force to disperse the peacefully sleeping fellow satyagrahi's.
5th June : 4 am, Swami ji trying to evade arrest in a never seen attire got
arrested. 10 am Delhi police made arragements to drop Baba
Ramdev from New Delhi to Jollygrant in Dehradun. Addressed
reporters on reaching Patanjali. 10 pm Baba jji started his fast again
with followers.
6th June : 5 am Baba ji performed yoga at the fasting place along with
his followers and repledged his eforts against corruption and
blackmoney.
7th June : 2 pm Chief Minister directed special medical team did a thorough
medical checkup of Baba Ramdev ji. 6 pm aacharya Balkrishna ji
nowhere to be seen for the last 3 days held a press conference.
8th June : 5 pm Baba ji's medical condition deterioted.
9th June : 6 pm Aacharya Balkrishn ji presented the balance sheets of all the
trusts related to Baba ji.
10th June : 2:45 pm on being directed by District Magistrate, CMO took Baba
ji to Himalayan Institute and got him admitted to ICU. Aacharya
Balkrishna ji followed Swami Ramdev ji and he was also admitted
to ICU.
11th June : 10 am four more satyagrahis brought to City hospital due to
deterioting condition.
12th June : 11:15 am Shri Shri Ravi Shankar, Morari Bapu and Kripalu ji
succeeded in asking Ramdev to break his fast by making him drink
a glass of juice, which brought immense pleasure to all the followers
of Baba ji at Patanjali and across country.
13th June : One day bed rest as directed by the doctors.
14th June : Grand welcome of Swami ji on reaching Patanjali.

Swami Ramdev ji started a national
level movement against corruption and
blackmoney and how this movement was
oppressed by the government and police is

everyone is bemused that it is happening
in the largest democratic country?
Baba Ramdev through his movement
against corruption and blackmoney is not
only getting footage in the national media
but also being covered by the international
media. Many a foreign newspapers have
given priority to him and his movement
and many of them have criticised at the
way the current government handled the
situation.

'Police opened lathi charge and used tear
shells at Baba Ramdev and thousands of
his followers', they further wrote, 'Baba's
movement was oppressed violently' and
as per this news paper more than a lakh
people were supporting Baba Ramdev.
As per the report, Police force removed
Baba Ramdev and his thousands of
followers and in response, seemingly
rebellion Baba Ramdev consolidated his
stand against blackmoney and corruption
and said he would not be perturbed by this
violent method used by the government.
He held the current central government
to convert this peaceful gathering into a
chaotic situation.
Te newpaper also reported that within
hours afer this incident, Baba Ramdev
said in electronic media that the current
government wishes to kill mi and my
fast unto death has not been broken. It
would continue, my movement would
continue. American Newspaper 'Boston
Globe' also printed about this incident.
Tey reported, 'Afer being evicted from
the capital for staging a satyagrah against
corruption and blackmoney, a yoga guru
along with his followers has said that he
would continue his fast unto death in
his own state and now afer breaking his
fast which continued for 9 days, he said
only the fast has been broken and not my
spirit, my movement against corruption
and blackmoney would continue.

Bharat Swabhiman (overseas) Bhishma Kumar
Agnihotri said that Baba Ramdev visited each nook
and corner of India, visited villages in diferent
states for last fve years to make people aware. He
informed of the problems prevalent in the nation.
He said that Swamiji is insisting on change in the
system in India. And it is possible only when more
people would associate with the agitation and
uproot the present system, based on corruption
and inefciency. Many powerful people in
self-interest are supporting the corrupt system.
Te senior and renowned writer Renu Gupta, living
in West Chester of Ohio was annoyed at the harsh
treatment, Baba Ramdev and his supporters met
at the hands of the Police. She expressing her grief
said that it is an atrocity on all the followers of Baba
Ramdev and it has crossed all limits of decency. Te
injustice is echoing not only in India but abroad
also. India has been a nation of seers and saints.
In search of spiritualism and seer tradition, people
from all parts of the world visit India. But in India
itself, such honest people, thinking for the welfare
of the nation are given such horrible treatment.
Swamiji has launched an agitation for the
uplifment and development of the nation. He
has raised voice against corruption and we all are
with him in any circumstances. Indians, living
abroad are resentful seeing a seer on agitation due
to the prevalent large scale corruption. Tere is
no home, which has not been beneftted with the
medicines and yoga knowledge and tips of Baba
Ramdev. And on the contrary, Congress leaders
and the Government have no love for the nation or
respect for the age-old seer tradition of the nation.
Now time has come-up to wage a war against such
dictator government.

leadership. We all NRIs urge you to continue the
agitation in full force. We all would lend every
support to you. Dr Gagan Bhalla, the trustee of
Patanjali Yogpeeth, Canada said that in Canada,
NRIs gave all-out support to the agitation of Baba
Ramdev. Te atrocities being committed by the
Policemen at Ramlila Ground was widely
condemned. Afer Swamiji was hospitalized, a
yagna was conducted for his welfare and health.

he borders of any nation decide its geographical
limits. Te life style, cultural traditions of the
people living within the border are a part of the
culture of the nation. But many Indians are settled
abroad also constantly think of the development,
uplifment and growth of India. And whatever
happened on 4th June at Ramlila ground in
New Delhi really ashamed the humanity. Te
barbaric, brutal and inhuman treatment given to
the peaceful agitators is a blot on the humanity.
Indians, living in United States and in other parts

the crushing of peaceful activists, who were staging
peaceful fast for the betterment of the nation,
under the leadership of Baba Ramdev. Many NRIs
have vociferously opposed the inhuman attitude.
Yogguru Baba Ramdev has vowed to bring black
money stashed in foreignbanks back to the nation
and emanded to declare it as national asset. Baba
Ramdev started his fast from 4th June at Ramlila
Ground, New Delhi. In his support sit-n-stir
were staged at 13 places in United States and
United Kingdom. To support Baba's agitation a

committee. And through this network
Baba could get what he would wish for
at any platform and it should be noted
that this network is not a newfound one
but has been developed and nurtured
over years by organised people in a well
planned way.
Baba's art of gathering people and forming
organisations is such that anyone could
get bemused. And he is working against
black money and corruption and he is
well supported on this front by 'Bharat
Swabhiman', this trust has been formed in
2009 and is working amongst people on 4
diferent levels, Central, State, District and
Village. People in charge at district level and
their units are continuously active towards
the goal set by Ramdev ji. And he is well
supported by the Patanjali Yog comittees

othing could better the current
example of, how one government
could tarnish itself with its action? Te
government must tell the country that,
why does the same government luring
Baba Ramdev few hours ago could
unleash its power in a barbaric manner
on the same Baba and his followers that
too in the middle of night? Nothing could
be termed as barbarism and compared
with what happened right under the
nose of the central government in the
Ramleela ground, attrocities unleashed
on the peacefully sleeping followers
including women, children and elderly
alike along with Baba Ramdev ji. By
its action the current government has
given an opportunity to the country to
condemn its actions and question its
responsibilities.
Te barbarism unleashed on the peacefull
public gathered at Ramleela ground
brings back the era of emergency into the
memory of the survivors and also points
out the ego of the current government
lead by Manmohan Singh which is
loosing the trust of our common men on
a daily basis. It seems thus cornered out
government has lost its discretion to judge
right from wrong. If the government
has to do what it has done, why has it
given permission to camp and initiate
satyagraha at the Ramleela ground? If
we look at the governments stand on their
action, they say they were forced to take
this step as Baba Ramdev violated his
agreement with the government and in
the same context a letter from Ramdev's
colleague. Even if the letter contains truth,
was it right for the government to use it to
downsize Baba Ramdev's stature? Even if
Ramdev violated his words of agreement,
was this the right way to deal with the
situation, which was used by the Delhi
Police? If the government lost its cool on
this turnaround by Baba, why the same
government keeps their cool on various
turnarounds by them? Is it not a fact that
Manmohan Singh on taking pledge with
the current government has promised to
bring the ombudsman bill? One and all
knows this that last year the country was
proudly informed that the government
would bring a corrective bill on land
acquisition, why does the government
forgets about their own promises? Te fact
is that the current government is still hell
bent on violating its promises.
Te government has committed itself
on working on a strong ombudsman bill
afer the movement by Anna Hazare, but
the government is not just tracing its feet
back but also acting upon so viciously that
the ombudsman could not be prepared.
What sort of government is it which is
not working for the common causes of
the common men. Te UPA government
is not able to work properly as they do not
know in themselves what is happening,
they lack a joint stand on any issue. Te
central government has lost its prestige
and it isn't hard to say that it would not be
able to gather the same respect that it used
to get earlier.

o one has imagined the way Baba
Ramdev's satyagrah which began
with much of courage and support against
blackmoney and corruption would be
oppressed so tragically. Everything seemed
nice till the time the current government
scared of this satyagrah was trying to lure
Baba Ramdev with its elite line of politicians
but their barbarism unleashed on the
peacefully sleeping people gathered from all
over the country in support of the common
cause raises question on their work style.
Corruption and balckmoney are two such
issues which have brought the common men
in unision against them. No single person or
political party could be questioned as to how
come the situation has come to such a stage
but the system is responsible for sure. We
can not deny with the fact that corruption
and blackmoney are the basis of concerns
of national security and democratic future.
Tis was the same reason that when Anna
Hazare started his movement for the
public ombudsman bill, he was supported
throughout India. Whole country stood with
him against the current corrupt system. Even
the central government took into notice and
accepted the role of society in changing the
current system. But this agreement seems to
have fallen in such a way that at present
our society and followers of Baba Ramdev
see the government falling from its stand
and promises. And, at the same time the
goverment is thinking that in the context
of these movements opposition parties
are eating away their public base. And
thus we reach at this critical situation of
clashes in between the government and
the people involved in the movement
for the common causes of common
men. Tough the responsibility for these
clashes go on to both parties involved
here but primarily the government ruling
the nation is responsible for the current
scenario. Calling names to Baba Ramdev
and terming him as of no importance
the government must clarify why did
they greeted him with red carpet? Did it
wished to establish a balance through him
with the social reform movement started
by Anna Hazare? Tey must answer, why
were the common public gathered from
far was treated so attrociously at midnight
with sticks and tear shells? If in the current
democratic situation this situation starts
reminding of the emergency days, the
government must thing who all would
have to be answered? Tough it is clear
now that the country is not going to
forget the biggest issues in the form of
corruption and blackmoney over time.
Tis country is made up intellectuals and
that day is not far when the government
has to answer their questions.

eing an witness to many historical
moments the Ramleela ground was
standing afresh with a new story this Sunday
the 5th, June 2011. People were speculating
and guessing about the incidents that
happened overnight at the same venue. A
huge gathering of one lakh which was here
about 14 hours ago was no where to be
seen now. Banners were torn of, mattresses
and furniture was lying here and there.
People were comparing this barabarism
with British rule or the Jallianwala Bagh
massacre. Many people associated with
socialism were reminded of emergency. In
fact the scenario at Ramleela ground was
as it is afer Dusshera. A silence stretched
and extended everywhere and people
reaching here were shocked and in a state
of panic. Te midday sun was refecting on
the common faces aghast with the police
attrocities. People were searching for their
belongings carrying their injuries search
for relatives was on amidst these chaos.
Eyewitnesses share their experiences at the
hand of barbaric police force which fred
tear gas shells at the public and used canes
and sticks at the peacefull sleeping people
in the dark of last night afer forcefully
evicting Swami Ramdev from there. Te
government claims that the camp was
allowed only for about 5-6 thousand of
people but when 50-60 thousand people
have gathered they were lef with no other
option than to use force to fnish the camp.
Tis claims stands on false grounds as the
public has started gathering for about last
2-3 days and if there number had already
closed permitted limit why were they
allowed to enter or reach there? Why did
the government acted so attrociously? Even
women and children were caned. Whether
the cause was wrong or we the common
public of India was wrong?
Public talking to Jansatta were asked by
a PCR about not gathering together, a
constable said Section 144 is on from this
morning itself though many of Swami ji's
supporters were scattered in thousands
here and there. Ex servicement Shivpal
said, afer the police action at midnight we
all collected around Jantar Mantar though
the encompassing area was cordoned of
by police. Some supporters were adviced
to gather around Gurudwara Bangla Sahib
and they were continuously reminded by
the police of section 144 being applied in
New Delhi. Pawan Dev Singh Manas from
Punjab accused government and said that
the police acted barbariously upon the
supporters overnight. Tey were caned
and were showered with tear gas shells,
ex-servicemen Umed Singh said even
the British government never did so, it
reminded him of Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Renu from Lakhisarai, Bihar said at about
12:45 am policement in plain clothes tried
to evict Baba Ramdev and the supporters
stopped them from doing so by forming a
security cordon around Baba Ramdev on
failing the Delhi Police then started using
canes and tear gas shells on the supporters.
She said people were forcefully evicted from
the site. Women and children were abused.
Neelam Chauhan from Bulandsshahar, U.P.
said many relatives were separated during
this action taken by the government. She
said they were treated as the enemies of the
state and she feels as if they have lost all of
their constitutional rights.
Many people were seen searching for
their relative throughout Sunday afer this
cruel act of eviction by Delhi Police under
guidance of central government. People
were traumatised as no list of injured was
released until Sunday evening.
Sumit Chand from Ujjain was searching
for his niece, Mewaram from Jhajjar was
searching for her daugher, Rajeev Shankar
Nath from Haridwar took refuge of media
to search for his mother. Balwant Singh got
separated from his son and met him at the
railway station. When PCR was contacted
in this concern they said we are making
announcements using loudspeakers for
those who approach them so that they
could fnd their lost relatives. Luggage
belonging to several thousand people was
still inside the stalls evicted overnight.
Public was seeking permission to fnd their
belongings and were denied to do so, and
later on with the intervention of higher
ofcials some of them were allowed inside
to search for their belongings amongst the
chaotic scenario.

any relatives and scions of martyrs, who
laid their lives for the sake of the nation
to free India from the shackles of British rule
gave their full support to Baba Ramdev. When
the agitation of Baba Ramdev began at Ramlila
Ground on 4 June relatives of Shaheed Mangal
Pande, Chandrashekhar Azad and Sukhdev
descended to give support to Baba. Te parents
of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan also reached to
give support to Baba Ramdev. Baba started his
agitation in the morning and these dignitaries
started pouring in from afernoon. Among those
who reached frst were Ganesh Shankar Mishra
and Sujit Azad, who had come from Jhabua in
Madhya Pradesh.
Te descendent of martyr Mangal Pande, who
laid his life in the frst freedom struggle in 1857,
Raghunath Pande arrived from Meerut. Te
Delhi state incharge of Patanjali Yogpeeth Rajesh
Mittal informed that besides relatives of martyr
Azad and Mangal Pande, the descendent of martyr
Sukhdev, Anuj Tapar also reached at the venue. He
further informed that the parents of martyr Major
Sandeep Unnikrishnan also came to extend their
support to Baba Ramdev.
We have to realize dreams of Bapu and
Bhagat Singh-Baba Ramdev.
Baba Ramdev said that he want to realize the dreams
of Mahatma Gandhi and martyr Bhagat Singh,
which they saw for the glorious nation. While
commenting on, his followers calling him as big
man, he said that neither he considers himself a big
man, nor he is making any efort to become so. He
said that Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh and Swami
Vivekanand were the big names, who did much for
the nation and he is just trying to follow their foot-
prints. He said that he don't want to be the leader but
a follower of such great personalities.

Haridwar. Te union Health and Family Welfare department
gave cash rewards to two books penned by Dr Nagendra
Neeraj, the Chief Medical Incharge of Patanjali Yoggram
Natural medicines and Research centre. Te books
`Asadhya rogo ki saral vidhi` and `Pet ke rogo ki prakratik
chikitsa` were given second and third prizes, for the year
2005-06, for which Dr Neeraj received Rs 20,000 and Rs
15,000 respectively. Te department had for 2004-05 also
adjudged two books of Dr Neeraj, the best for which he was
given frst prize. Te books were ` Madhumeh lailaj nahi
hai` and `raktaalpata ki prakritik chikitsa`. In 1998, Dr
Neeraj's book `Prakritik Chikitsa and Yoga` and in English
`Miracles of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences` were also given
frst prize by the National Institute of Naturopathy, under the
Health department of the Government of India. It is for the
frst time that fve books of a single writer have been rewarded
in a short span of time.

Government fails to accept
demands, Swamiji on fast
Haridwar. Te long discussion of Yogguru Baba Ramdev with union
ministers could not reach any conclusion and hence, he would begin
fast on Saturday. To welcome Baba Ramdev and hold discussion,
union Human Resources department minister Kapil Sibbal, union
Tourism minister Subodhkant Sahai and Union Finance minister
Pranab Mukharjee reached Indira Gandhi International Airport.
Te team held long discussion with Baba Ramdev. Afer two hours
of discussion, Baba Ramdev told media persons that discussion
with the group of ministers is going in positive direction and
consensus has been reached on a certain issues. He informed that the
Government has agreed upon on all the issues but set no dead-line
for implementation. He said that the Government should come-up
with specifc deadline to implement the decisions. Baba Ramdev held
discussion with the ministers in a city hotel and later proceeded for
Ramlila ground. But before it, he reached Rajghat to pay tributes to
Mahatma Gandhi. He also visited Bhagat Singh Park to pay respect
to Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh. Later, he straight away reached
Ramlila Ground and addressed his supporters. He declared that he
would be on fast from Saturday. He said that his agitation would
continue, till the Government readies for a time-bound program to
accept the demands.
He said that the Government has orally and principally
agreed to declare black money in foreign banks as
national asset but has given no word to issue an
ordinance. He said that the Government is ready to
introduce a bill in the Parliament and prepare a draf
model bill for the states. While giving details of his
discussion with the ministers on Friday, Yogguru
said that the Government has also agreed upon
conducting entrance examinations in Government
educational institutions in regional languages
besides English. Also, the study material would
be prepared in regional languages. Amidst
heavy slogan shouting he said that the
Government has also agreed upon to set-
up fast track courts at centre and state level
for speedy disposal of corruption cases. But
despite all agreements, no time frame has
been decided. He said that his agitation is
non-violent but if eforts were made to crush
the agitation by force, it would not be better.
He reiterated that he does not
have any hidden political or
communal agenda.

The biggest
agitation -Ramdev
Delhi. Yogguru Baba Ramdev will
begin his fast against black money and
corruption on June 4 at Ramlila Ground in
Delhi. Te agitation is planned to highlight
three demands in the national interest.
In his press conference at Constitutional
Club before the agitation, Swamiji
said that with the massive turn out, this
would be the biggest movement in the
history of the world. He said that at one
hand some corrupt elements have looted
400 lakh crore while due to poverty in
last decade 2 lakh, every year 20,000,
daily 56 and every hour two farmers are
committing suicide. Tere could be no
blot on the democracy bigger and darker
than this. He has already written a letter to
the Prime Minister and also handed over
a memorandum, carrying signatures of
crores of people. Te Government has been
proposed to bring back money stashed in
foreign banks by the corrupt elements. On
some issues, the Government's attitude
appears to be positive but assurances
should be implemented with written
commitment.
He said that as a Yogi, he is supposed to
fulfll duty for the nation, along with the
duty for the Yoga. Hence, his struggle
against black money and corruption is
continuing. He demanded that to bring
money stashed in foreign banks, UN
Convention against Corruption should be
immediately approved in the Parliament.
He said that the three demands in the
national interest are
1) To bring back Rs 400 lakh crore,
deposited in foreign banks declaring
it as national assets
2) Tough Lokpal bill so that corruption
is completely checked and black
money resources are blocked and
3) British System and British rule
within the Independent India shall be
uprooted, with an Indian system so that
all get social and economical justice.

Baba Ramdev and
Union Government
mess-up in direct fight
Haridwar. Te consensus reached between Baba Ramdev and
Government and caused a direct verbal war between Baba
Ramdev and the union Government. Te Government, armed
with the letter written by Baba camp to end the agitation in
two days, launched scathing attack on Baba Ramdev while
Baba reiterated saying that the ministers have cheated by
saying that they need the letter to show something to the
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to prove that talks are going
in right direction.
He said that we had not willingly written any such letter
but the union ministers Kapil Sibbal and Subodhkant Sahai
insisted on giving something in writing. Baba accused
Kapil Sibbal for breach of trust and vowed not to talk to
him in future. He further said that Kapil Sibbal has proved
a true politician and shown his colors. In future, he would
not hold any discussion with Sibbal, he lamented. Te
Government remained in utter confusion afer the activities of
Baba Ramdev gained momentum in Delhi. Till Saturday
evening, Baba Ramdev did not declare to end the agitation and
with passing time, the Human Resources minister Kapil Sibbal
was losing patience. During press conference, many times he
rang-up Baba Ramdev and talked to him.
But when he did not succeed in getting declaration of the
end of agitation, he released the copy of the letter written by
Acharya Balkrishna, to the media, thus making the agitation
controversial. Sibbal informed the media that in the letter,
Baba has accepted that he has reached consensus with the
Government on all the issues barring a few. Te Government
has agreed upon to give assurances in writing and hence he
would just hold a Yoga camp and not fast from June 4. Sibbal
also claimed that according to the letter, Baba Ramdev had
agreed that he would declare about the consensus reached with
the Government by Saturday evening. Swamiji clarifed that
1) the Union minister is telling white lie. Te disclosure made
by the union Government is a betrayal and cheating.
2) Te letter was not written by me but the union ministers
urged that they want something in writing to show the Prime
Minister that talks are proceeding in right direction. Tus the
letter was written.
3) Even if the Government arrests me, other people
would continue their fast at Ramlila ground.

Swamiji's supporters on
hunger strike
Haridwar. 5 June. To support, Yogguru Baba Ramdev's
agitation at Ramlila ground in Delhi, his supporters staged a
sit-n-stir in Haridwar. Baba Ramdev is on fast against black
money and corruption. Tousands of people joined the fast
which included many prestigious seer and saints.
In support of Baba Ramdev agitation in Delhi, sit-n-stir was
staged in other parts of the nation including at Rishikul ground,
Haridwar. Under the aegis of Bharat Swabhiman Trust and
Patanjali Yog Samiti, the agitation began at 8 am in the morning
with a yagna. Many respected saints extended their support
to the agitation of Baba Ramdev. Tey thundered that even
life is lost for the sake of nation, they would not move back.
Tey said that the agitation launched by Baba Ramdev was
much needed to save the nation. Swamiji is selfessly involved
in the service of the nation. He is ready to sacrifce his life
and in such situation every true Indian should support Baba
Ramdev. Respected seers, while addressing on the occasion
said that they are hopeful that the union Government would
ultimately bow before the demands. Swami Satyamitranand
said that if the Government did not take any step, they would sit
on dharna at minister's bungalows. Mahamandeleshwar Swami
Harichetnanand Maharaj said that if needed, scores of holy men
would proceed for Delhi from Haridwar. Te Vice President of
Gau Sewa Ayog Swami Yatishwaranand said that entire nation
is united against corruption.

Many women charged Police with serious allegations
Haridwar, 7 June. Many injured devotees, who sustained
serious injuries at the hands of the Police at Ramlila ground
on 5th June reached Patanjali Yogpeeth to meet Swami
Ramdev. Tey displayed their injuries but also made it clear
that they are injured and not depressed or demoralized. Tey
received injuries for the nation and for Swami Ramdev, which
is a matter of pride for them. Te private secretary of Swami
Ramdev, Ajay Arya too reached Patanjali Yogpeeth, with
fractured bones in both legs. Te incharge of the women wing
at Patanjali Yogpeeth, Sumana also narrated her plight from
the dais. Many women supporters broke down while speaking
to Baba Ramdev and described how brutally Police force has
crushed them. A woman worker had snatched badge and
`Ashok Chakra` of a Police ofcer. Te women alleged that
the ofcer was under the infuence of liquor. Other women
workers too had serious allegations against the Police. Te
devotees are reaching Haridwar to tell them their part of the
story, before leaving for homes.

`It was a black night,

which is unforgettable`
Haridwar, 6 June. Te two hours spent in fear and horror
at Ramlila ground on the mid-night of June 4th and 5th,
was clearly refecting on the face of Baba Ramdev even afer
eight hours. He appeared to be very tired afer he reached
Patanjali Yogpeeth amidst his followers. He was relieved
afer reaching Haridwar and he accepted that it was a black
night, when he could not forget in his life. Whatever Swami
Ramdev saw on the horrible mid-night swoop at Ramlila
Ground, he was completely shaken. Te followers of Swami
Ramdev informed that it was a planned conspiracy and the
Police got into action slowly from 11 pm. But as Baba Ramdev
was continuously in touch with the union Ministers, none
was apprehending any such odd situation. But at around 1.30
am, the Police suddenly swung into action and started forcing
everybody to vacate the dharna venue.
Te force treated devotees, including women and little children
mercilessly. Baba Ramdev, under the guise of women tried to
escape but was ultimately detained at 3.30 am same night. Afer
keeping him in detention, the administration started eforts to
send him back to Haridwar safe. Till 10 am, the Police ofcers
could make proper arrangements for his return. Te Haridwar
and Dehradun administrations were, in the meantime, told
to make arrangements for the landing of a chopper. Around
10.30, a helicopter carrying Baba Ramdev arrived at Jolly grant
air-strip. From here CO Doiwala, Navneet Singh and CO,
Rishikesh TD Bela provided a security net and in a private taxi,
Baba Ramdev reached Patanjali Yog ashram. Swami Ramdev
appeared to be very tired and shaken. Later he met the pressmen
and narrated the entire tale of injustice and atrocity.

Upset at the detainment
of Swamiji, devotee
sacrificed his life
Raipur, 7 June. A follower of Yogguru Baba Ramdev,
depressed with the detainment of Swami Ramdev committed
suicide in Durg district of Chhattisgarh. Te Superintendent
of Police, Durg, Amit Kumar informed that many followers of
Swami Ramdev had gathered at Collectorate in support of the
agitation of Baba Ramdev on Sunday. But one of his supporters,
Sukhuram was upset with the arrest of Swami Ramdev. He
consumed poison and when his condition deteriorated, he
was rushed to the hospital but could not survive. Te Police
also recovered a suicide note from his possession.

Haridwar, 7 June. On the third day of fast-unto-death launched
by Baba Ramdev, many seer, saints and leaders reached to support
his movement. While addressing on the occasion, Swami Ramdev
thundered that the Central Government has virtually killed
Gandhian philosophy. He was addressing a meeting on Monday at
the dharna site. He said that all people participating in the agitation
are nationalistic people, who love their nation. Te Central
Government, hatched a conspiracy against peaceful protestors and
the Commissioner, Delhi Police executed it. He praised Supreme
Court, saying that it has always strengthened the principle of
justice. Tis time also, the court has sought replies for the atrocity
committed.
Swami Ramdev said that the agitation venue at Ramlila Ground
was converted into `Lakshagrah` and eforts were made to set it
afre. He emulating Chatrapati Shivaji, lef the venue in woman
attire. Satyamitranand Giri termed it shameful that innocent

Asks Supreme Court
Delhi, 7 June. Te Supreme Court has, adopted tough posture, on
the barbaric Police action on Yogguru and his innocent supporters
in mid-night of 4th and 5th June. Te court has, suo-moto taking

a reply as why excesses were committed on the innocent and

led to take action on the peaceful people around mid-night. Te
National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) too has asked the

Cane-charge victims
reaching Patanjali
Yogpeeth
Haridwar. 8 June. On the initiative of the Government, the
Delhi Police pushed the injured persons and victims to Railway
station. Many seriously injured victims could not receive any
medical assistance and ultimately reached Patanjali Yogpeeth.
Swami Ramdev himself met them personally and consoled.
A team of Government doctors conducted medical check-up
of Swami Ramdev. Te former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh
Koshiyari too reached Patanjali Yogpeeth to meet Swami
Ramdev. Afer talking to the victims, he said to the journalists
that many thousands of victims were forced to leave Delhi
and sent to Railway station. An unknown number of devotees
were picked-up from the Ramlila ground and they are still
untreatable. Over two dozen victims reached Patanjali Yogpeeth
and undergoing treatment. Baba said that for security reasons,
he had installed CCTV cameras but they too have been taken
away by the Police. Te Police want to destroy all the available
evidences. Te Police without being provoked assaulted
devotees and also conspired to kill me.

Efforts to deviate attention

from corruption and black
money issues
Haridwar, 9 June. Te General Secretary of Patanjali Yogpeeth,
Acharya Balkrishna said that the union Government is hurling
baseless accusations to deviate attention of the common man from
the serious issues like corruption and black money. He said that
Patanjali Yogpeeth is not an ofce of any political party. Anyone
who believes in the principles and ideology of Swamiji could
come to Patanjali Yogpeeth. Acharya Balkrishna blasted the union
Government and said that previously it was said that none has been
ill-treated or manhandled on 4th June and hence none has been
injured. But now the Home Minister Chidambaram is assuring
compensation to the injured victims. He said that the devotees of
Swami Ramdev do not need monetary compensation. Acharya
Balkrishna said that Congress is trying to mislead the public by
associating the agitation of Swami Ramdev with RSS and BJP. He
said that the leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj had come to take
health details of Acharyaji as a senior leader of the country and not
alone as the leader of BJP. He said that Delhi Police has registered
cases against 18 persons including him and Swamiji.

Swamiji's agitation enters

6th day
Haridwar. 10 June. For the frst time in his life, Swami Ramdev
has not followed, what was been directed by his `guru`. In the
interest of 121 crore people of the nation, he declined to end fast
even afer his Guru's direction. He said that peace loving and good
people have been assaulted physically and ideologically at Ramlila
ground in New Delhi. Such good and nation-loving people have
been cheated and thus, it is the need that the fast should continue.
Acharya Ramdev addressed devotees in Patanjali Yogpeeth, who
had come from diferent places Acharya Ramdev has lost 6 kgs
of weight in 6 days. Swami Ramdev informed that along with
Acharya Baldev and Acharya Pradhuman other people are also
asking him to end the fast but he has urged them that to highlight
the pain and struggle of 121 crore Indians against corruption, he
will continue the fast.

Health check-up of Baba
on CM's initiative 60
Haridwar. June 8. On the direction of the Chief Minister Dr
Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the medical check-up of Swami
Ramdev and his followers was conducted. On the direction of
the Chief Minister a special 12-member team of doctors has
been constituted, which would conduct regular medical check-
up. Doctors also examined the victims, who were injured in the
cane-charge at Ramlila Ground and administered medicines.
Te Chief Minister directed Urban development minister
Madan Kaushik following which a team was constituted
under the leadership of Chief Medical Ofcer (CMO) Dr
Yogendra Sharma, CMS of district hospital Dr Ravindra
Tapliyal and 12 other doctors. Tey reached at Yagnashala
of Patanjali Yogpeeth and conducted medical examination.
According to the medical reports, the health of Baba
Ramdev was satisfactory. His blood pressure was measured 80
and 120 while pulse rate was 70. His weight was 60 kgs. His
other parameters were also normal.

corruption and black money
Haridwar, 11 June. Te success or failure of Baba Ramdev could
be a point of debate but one point is very clear that Baba Ramdev
has brought ripples and awareness in the Indian society against
black money and corruption if large number of youth taking oath in
Patanjali Yogpeeth on Friday is any indication. Te youth included
a big chunk of girls, who were agitated against the black money
and corruption. Many persons are reaching regularly to Patanjali
Yogpeeth to extend their support to Swami Ramdev. Tat includes
a big number of youth. When Dainik Jagran talked to the youths,
many serious thoughts came to light. Tey said that though, they are
not much inclined towards yoga but appreciate the agitation, Baba
Ramdev has undertaken against corruption and black money.

Prayers for the well-being of

Swami Ramdev
Haridwar, 11 June. Many persons blocked highway in support
of Baba Ramdev, cursing the Central Government and Congress
leaders. Te students of Patanjali Yogpeeth, University and Patanjali
Ayurvedic College sat on the road under scorching sun and chanted
hymns and Gayatri mantra for the fast recovery of Swami Ramdev.
Later the demonstrators also performed a yagna on the highway.
Te supporters alleged that the Congress is responsible for the
condition of Baba Ramdev and it would be never forgiven. Several
dozen of students in white attire also reached and sat peacefully
on the road, under the red-hot sun. Later, they all chanted Gayatri
mantra in unison.

meet Baba again
Haridwar, 11 June. Te Founder of Art of Living Sri Sri
Ravishankar has been supporting Baba Ramdev. He informed
that he would meet Baba Ramdev and urge to withdrawn
the fast-unto-death. Sri Sri Ravishankar said that the issue of
black money and corruption would not be solved in a single
day. He said that Swami Ramdev is getting support from all
the quarters of the soiety.

activists in Patanjali Yogpeeth
Haridwar, 12 June. Acharya Balkrishna administered
fruit juice to 300 activists, who were on fast for nine
successive days in Patanjali Yogpeeth. On the occasion
Acharya Balkrishna said that the activists have sacrifced
their peace and pleasure for the sake of the nation.
Now there is no doubt that the nation would regain its lost
glory. He said that it is an end to a stir but not campaign against
corruption. Among the activists, a large number of people

Resentment among
supporters for forcibly
admitting Baba to hospital
Haridwar, 11 June. Massive resentment prevailed among
the supporters of Baba Ramdev, when he was forcibly taken
to the hospital. Te employees of Patanjali Yogpeeth staged a
road blocked at highway and sat on dharna. Te Foods park
employees in Padartha village also blocked Haridwar-Luxar
route. Te employees raised slogans against the Government of
India. Due to massive jam, the frightened Police administration

lakhs of devotees, who despite sufering refused to compromise
and continued to support the movement with same energy. He
urged people in the country and abroad, who were on agitation to
break their fast. He asked all the workers to educate society and
continue free Yoga classes and restart work of self-building and
thereafer nation building. Acharyaji said despite atrocities being
committed by the Government, scores of workers, countrymen,
social and spiritual organizations and many sensitive persons
associated with diferent political parties stood by him and he is

subject related to public interest and the national interest. He gave

I am ending fast but

Dehradun, 13 June. Yogrishi Swami Ramdev, being admitted
in Himalayan Institute hospital of Jollygrant agreed to break
fast to respect requests from seers of every sects, top religious
heads, crores of nationalistic Indians, mothers and brothers
but at the same time vowed to fght against corruption till
last breath. He said that he is ending fast but struggle would
continue. On the occasion Honorable Morari Bapu, revered
Sri Sri Ravishankarji, Mahamandeleshwar Harichetnanandji
Maharaj, Acharya Baldevji, Acharya Pradhumanji, Swami
Dharmananadji, Rajendra Dasji Kothari Maharaj, Swami
Gyananandji, Swami Govind Giri ji, Jagatguru Kripalu Ji
Maharaj and other dignitaries were present. Yogrishi Swami
Ramdevji Maharaj and revered Acharya Balkrishnaji Maharaj
accepted juice from renowned seers and broke the fast.
While giving message of Swami Ramdevji, Acharya
Balkrishnaji said the struggle for declaring black money
as national asset constitutionally, to bring back lakhs
of crores of rupees stashed in foreign banks, to uproot
corruption and scrapping discriminatory and unjustifed
British system in free India would continue. He reiterated
that while launching Swabhiman Yatra from Dwarkadhish
on September 2 and conclusion at Mahakal on June 1, afer
completing journey of 1 lakh kms, Swamiji had clearly told
that his campaign against corruption is not against any party
or person but against black money, corruption and corrupt
system. Te campaign would continue with same objective
and with the same zeal and energy. He informed
that Swamiji has vowed to continue struggle till last
breath with the support of all the nationalistic fellow Indians.
While speaking on the occasion Morari Bapu said that he has
spiritualistic relationship with Swami Ramdev and on the
behalf of such relationship, he told him that the message, he
wanted to convey has reached to every household. Hence,
while accepting our requests, he ended his fast.
Sri Sri Ravishankar said that the nation needs leadership of
