This course provides specific information on how to configure software utilities on the Hitachi Universal Storage Platform and Network Storage Controller. It familiarizes the learner with the technology and terminology of the current key software utilities. The course covers the tasks to be completed when setting up the software on the Universal Storage Platform or Network Storage Controller for open systems configurations. The course covers detailed steps that are required to make a host operating system recognize the logical units on the Universal Storage Platform or Network Storage Controller covered. It provides an opportunity to work with UNIX and Microsoft Windows NT systems integrated with these storage systems. The learner will complete numerous hands-on lab activities designed to build the skills necessary to install and operated the key software utilities presented during the course.
