INMED Celebrates 25 Years of Service

Symposium and Reception to Celebrate Past and Plan Future
Ashburn, VA, August 16, 2011 On October 27, 2011, INMED Partnerships for Children will celebrate 25 years of rescuing children from harm and building strong leaders for the future. INMEDs 25th anniversary event, Celebrating 25 Years: Re-Charting the Future for Children and Youth, will be hosted at the residence of the Brazilian ambassador to the United States, His Excellency Ambassador Mauro Vieira. It is a fitting venue, as INMED has worked in Brazil for 18 years, improving the lives of more than 2 million Brazilian children, their families and communities. The event will feature a panel discussion on Defining a Course of Opportunity for the Next Generation and a reception. The keynote presentation on Meeting the Five Greatest Challenges Facing Children and Youth in the Next Decade will be delivered by Sir Richard Feachem, former undersecretary of the United Nations, founding executive director of The Global Fund, and former director of the Institute for Global Health at UCSF and UC Berkeley. Please join INMED to commemorate significant achievements and milestones, but more importantly, to identify the major development challenges facing children and youth, along with strategies and programs that will help INMED to meet these challenges and continue to build strong leaders for the future.
