A menu screen will appear. If AutoRun is not enabled on your computer, run StartCD.exe from the root of the CD to display the starting menu. The menu provides you with links to all the resources available on the CD. ----------------------Electronic File Viewers ----------------------The electronic version of the book and some of the other documentation included on this CD is provided in Portable Document Format (PDF). To view these files, you will need Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader. For more information about these products or to download the latest version of Adobe Reader, visit the Adobe Web site at http://www.adobe.com. ================== WHAT'S ON THIS CD? ================== This companion CD contains practice files, solution files, and templates you can use to follow along with the examples in this book, and an electronic version of the book.

For more information about these products or to download Adobe Reader, visit the Adobe Web site at http://www.adobe.com. ----------------------------------------------------------Book-specific Practice Files, Solution Files, and Templates ----------------------------------------------------------The files for each chapter are included on the CD in three folders: - Practice Files: Workbooks used in demonstrations which show the completed chapter examples. - Solution Files: Workbook files that show how to solve the hands-on problems provided at the end of each chapter in the book. - Templates: Versions of workbooks used for chapter demonstrations. You can use these files to walk through the examples in a chapter and complete the examples yourself. To work with these sample files, you need a copy of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 installed on your computer. To install the sample files, you need approximately 40 MB of available disk space on your computer. =================== SUPPORT INFORMATION =================== --------------Troubleshooting --------------Long file names on CD and 16-bit CD-ROM drives: If you have an older, 16-bit CD-ROM drive and you browse this CD, you will see truncated filenames on folders and files. Contact your CD-ROM drive manufacturer for information about this issue and for the latest driver updates.

Manually copying files from CD-ROM: If you manually copy the sample files from CD-ROM to your hard disk, you may need to remove each file's read-only attribute in order to use the file. To

do so, right-click the file in My Computer or Windows Explorer and then click Properties.
