The Malaysian Armed Forces has always placed LIMA high on its priority of exhibitions. A littoral state with two regions apart like Malaysia certainly requires modern, formidable naval and air assets equipped with the latest defence technologies and systems to safeguard her vast economic exclusive zone. Thus far, LIMA has proven to be a prominent evaluation platform towards meeting our maritime and air defence needs.

I look forward to welcoming my counterparts to LIMA 11. Closer ties can be fostered and it is certainly my hope that a greater level of cooperation will make this region safer for all.
