Applications are invited for the posts of PROJECT FACULTY in the DBT-MKU Interdisciplinary Program of Life Science for Advanced Research and Education, School of Biological Sciences, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai, sanctioned by Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi. The posts are purely temporary and on contract basis for the program period.

Eligibility Conditions:

i.

Masters Degree in Integrated Biology/Microbiology/Genomics / Biotechnology / Genetics / Biochemistry/Zoology/Botany/Molecular Biology/Immunology with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. ii. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. iii. Holders of Ph.D. Degree in the relevant subject shall be exempted from NET/SLET/SET.
iv. A relaxation of 5% will be provided at the Masters level for the SC / ST/Differently Abled v. A relaxation of 5%, from 55% to 50% of the marks will be provided to the Ph.D. Degree holders, who have passed their Masters Degree prior to 19th September 1991. Desired Qualifications: Ph.D. in Genomics / Biotechnology /Genetics /Molecular Biology / Immunology. Teaching / Post-Doc Research experience in the area of Microbial genomics / Human genomics / Cancer Genomics /Immunology / Biotechnology /Genetics. Candidates should have published research papers in peer reviewed International and National Journals. Should have expertise to teach and lead a research group in the above areas.
