Research and Work Experience 1. Development of a unique far field technique for sub-diffraction transmission microscopy. 2. Using different time resolved spectroscopic techniques to study ultrafast (picoseconds) and slow (seconds) excited state dynamics in a variety of exotic organic semiconductors. 3. Development of conducting polymer nanowire based sensors. 4. Synthesis of novel doped conjugated polymers through chemical and electrochemical routes and studying the mechanism of charge transport in such systems. 5. Using X-ray photoemission (XPS) and ultra-violet photoemission techniques to study dopant-polymer interactions and underlying electronics structure of conducting polymers. 6. Expertise of working in an optics lab with state-of-art spectroscopic techniques offering high spatial and temporal resolution suited for studying single molecular photophysics. 7. Experience of working in Class 100 clean room with photolithographic techniques. 8. Extensive training in handling ultra-high vacuum (UHV) systems such photoemission spectrometers. 9. Worked at the synchrotron center, ELETTRA, Trieste (Italy) on x-ray absorption (XAS), photoemission electron microscopy (PEEM) and x-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) beamlines.

10. Familiarity with d. c. magnetic susceptibility measurements, electron paramagnetic resonance (ESR) spectroscopy and scanning tunneling microscopy. 11. Expertise in carrying out sensitive reactions involving organometallic and Lewis acids in controlled atmosphere glove box. 12. Have been involved in theoretical analysis of spectroscopic results using ab-initio packages like GAUSSIAN-98 and VASP.
