[Even as We have sent unto you a messenger from among you, who reciteth unto you
Our revelations and causeth you to grow, and teacheth you the Scripture and wisdom, and
teacheth you that which ye knew no]
Here are two verses. These two verses are explaining that what blessings Allah
Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala showered upon us. Before we proceed ahead it should be clear that
there are countless blessings that Allah has showered on human beings. We the human
beings are unable to recognize and count the blessings of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala.
The holy Quran has told about different kinds of blessings that Allah Subhana-Wa-
Ta’aala has given to mankind.
When we look at ourselves, we will come to know that our life, our mechanical
system in the body, our power to speak, our hearing, our smelling, our sense of touch,
and the faculty to think deeply for the purpose to meditate upon serious matters, are all
the blessings of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala on us. We can not deny them. At different
places in the holy Quran Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala reminds us that what kinds of
blessings and in what numbers these have been bequeathed to us. Now in the light of the
above-mentioned verses it will be humbly attempted to explain some of His blessings for
us. (Even we have sent a messenger to you from amongst you)
means from your own people. It is a great blessing for human beings that a
messenger was sent to them from their own people whom they were known. He was not
a stranger. He was acquainted to them. If there had been a messenger from other tribe or
group or race or colour, there could have been an utter confusion either to take his
message with serious attention or not. Allah has given the importance on sending
messengers and mentions that four thousand prophets Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala have

sent in order to guide. Their responsibility is to guide mankind according to the Quran.
So Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala said us to remember this blessing that no only that He
created you and gave you all things that you need in this world, He also sent prophets in
order to guide you towards the right path. He says we have sent the
messengers from your own people. Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala ‘said
this word means among you, we have sent the prophets from your own people. It means
that Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala did not send a prophet from angles. He did not send a
prophet from Jinn. Did not send a prophet from other creatures. He sent the prophet
from the human beings. Why? Because Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala knows our needs.
So it is the blessing of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala. When Allah says from amongst
you. The meaning of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala has sent the prophet from one of
you - the Arabs. Why? If Allah would have sent the prophet from different tribe or from
different people, he would not have been welcome and understood properly by the Arabs.
So it was important to send a prophet to Arabs from the Arabian people. It all means to
say that different prophets came to the mankind but all the prophets were from the people
of the same race and tribe. It was a great blessing of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala on
mankind. Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala said Surah Shoora
Arabs would have read it, Quran says so it is very clear that Allah
Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala sent the prophet to the Arabs. One of the Arabs because if the
prophet had been non-Arab, the Arabs would not have understood it properly. So there is
a clear indication from Allah that the messenger is from amongst you. It is the blessing
on mankind. In general, it is the custom of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala that he sends the
prophet to the people whom the messenger belongs to. Because it is very important that
the prophet should be sent to the group or the tribe of the people where the prophet grew
up, and by staying in them, the prophet knows completely the psycho structure of the
people. And the people where from the prophet is chosen they also know the character of
the prophet. So in such a way communications with logic of the prophet becomes easy to
leave its true divine message.
The prophet knows their language, their weak points, their habits in order to make
them believe the message of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala. Then it becomes easy for the
prophet to spread and preach the message of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala to his people.
So the prophet is always sent to the people from the people where the prophet goes to
spread the light of the message of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala.
For example, if a man were to sending to Japanes, he would feel problem in
understand their culture, their values and their all other relevant communication ways.
So it would become difficult for the man and the people to whom he went. So if Japanes
prophet had been sent to the Arabs, how would they have understood him and the
message of Allah Subhana-Wa-Ta’aala? That is why Allah said
