A Sustainable Future a response to the NPC Diagnostic report

Whenever we have focused our collective energy, we have found that things work for us, we are able to be unity and peace, and our first coming together on the second of September 1993 was our first and largest call for our beginning as a collective people. Within our national anthem, we can find our mission statement. That thereby we have called upon a higher power to assist us to come together so that we may live and strive in freedom. The power we need to work with in South Africa is that of love, truth and integrity. We are going to need to have a multi racial, multi cultural and a multi faceted approach to government and systems of leadership letting go of the past and moving forward into a future together. Here we want come to see who we truly are as a people. We want to become self aware, not self absorbed. We want to go from non-being into being. We want to be part of the process of who we truly are in the world. Where we have come from and how we got here is not as important as where we are going and the direction we need to take to make our collective future viable and appropriate. That we accept, that we are all born here, on this soil is what makes us African, where we are located on this continent is what makes us South African. Ben Okri, an African writer, put it this way: It is only when the diverse peoples of the Earth meet and learn to love on another that we can begin to get an inkling of this awesome picture. Call it the picture of divinity, or humanity, if you want, but like the magic power that Africans sometimes allude to, this great jigsaw has been distributed amongst all of us, and one aspect of our destiny on this Earth may be to discover something of that grand image or music of our collective souls of our immense possibilities, our infinite riches. No one person or people have the final road or the great keyboard or exclusive possession of this jigsaw of humanity. Only together, as one people of this Earth, facing our common predicament of redeeming love, can we make use of this universal gift, this map of our earthly journey and glory. Though we have come from a divided society the more we understand that we need to look to ways of adding into what we are creating as a collective nation the easier we shall find our way forward as a people of different races and nationalities, we may be the most diverse group of people on the Earth

today. With the change in 1994 we have attempted to empower one group over another group and as much as we have made strides forward, much has come purely from the liberation of all people in South Africa and the opening of relations with the rest of the world. As there are different races in our galaxy we represent different races upon the Earth and in South Africa we are a microcosmic representation of this, as one people of the Earth, it is for South Africa to lead into the future We are now at a balance point and it now requires for us to take the next step into the new direction we are to take to allow this country as a collective to work. As it has been put the business as usual approach can no longer work for us. The economic structure at a global level is out of integrity and has been manipulated to bring about the current economic recession. If this has been recognised then it requires for us to take the lead and move out of this economic structure into a new direction. For South Africa to develop a new social structure and build upon its relationships in South America so that a new financial structure can be built with partnerships in India, Russia and China, it is with this in mind that we need to look at how we structure all of our affairs as we move forward from this point onwards. South Africa needs to embrace the power of Love, Truth and Integrity. This is the power that shall shift Africa and the World into a new era. We cannot be part of the old controlling structures of the world. We are a new energy with a new direction. With this new direction we become ready to take the leadership and become a healed nation that can find its place in Africa. Ripe and ready to develop one of the most abundant and resource-filled continents this planet has ever seen. We could start from nothing. We can take the best of any system we have ever seen and build it. Build with the power of Love, Truth and Integrity and you shall see a Nation and continent flourish. It shall become more and more appropriate to develop innovation and methods of change in the multifaceted society, which South Africa is becoming We are at the forefront of a collective change within South Africa, Africa, and The World and at an intergalactic level. Innovation and change is therefore the method of leadership into the future. We need to begin with The Self as individuals and as a collective to work on truth, to work with love and to work in integrity and make this part of our appearance and characteristics. And mostly for where the world is presently we need to love it enough to take our general outlook from a place of integrity, to understand truth and untruth and show it for what it is. What we now project into the world needs a stronger and more balanced behaviour, to

become a collective of people that develop and grow through Love, Truth and Integrity. And to be aware of our truer nature of benevolence and let these become our focus, for this is the beginning of the next twenty years. We have now recognized that we are at the next point of change. South Africa has an effective range of resources, and with a better approach we shall learn how to respect them, treasure them, and work more effectively with our resources. In the perspective of a Kingdom, It would not be wise to sell your best jewels for another mans money. We too easily sell out our best products at prices that are determined by powers outside of South Africa. We need to get a better understanding of our self worth to cultivate, develop and grow our resources, to see the value of our possessions and the potential that can be produced, nurtured and sustained. We need to protect, develop and nurture our resource base so that it is not manipulated through the world economy. That we become resourceful and innovative as to how we build and develop our future economy with in Southern Africa and where we can partner with other countries that are looking to similar solutions to our own and countries that have mutual understanding of the direction we need to take to become a resourceful benevolent people of the Earth. Developing to become a smart, sustainable earth society that works with our technology and resources to ensure that all people of the Earth are nurtured and cared for. It is then that Africa as an original resource rich continent that benefits the earth can truly become the power house the world understands it to be. It is that of creating a new reality for the Earth where everything is sustained and nurtured in a truer reflection of the original design of Earth. A properly managed Earth is our richest and largest resource. We are now at a point where it has become vital for us to develop a peaceful coexistence with the planet and our galaxy. That it is for us to be a part of the leadership that can take us, as a world people, into a sustainable and viable future, to make the changes that allow for us to exist by peaceful means and coexistence upon the planet. To overcome poverty we need to look at the basic needs of humanity and the building of a society that can integrate all aspects into a more coherent whole that is smart, sustainable and effective, where all people are inspired to be part of a collective solution through what we think, say and do. That we build smart and sustainable communities. To work with our collective energy and synergy to make a coherent society that is focused on the outcome and move out of an oppressive past toward a future with a collective vision that sustains all parts of the collective. To develop and research what is possible within our spiritual, emotional, physical

and mental attributes as a collective creation that can surpass the concept of struggling to be human, to find the divine creative within and the ability to truly be part of the creative energy of the universe. We are in a shift that requires of us to return to the basic needs so that we are able to balance our spiritual progress with our technological progress. That we look to rebuilding communal societies that reflect the concept of living sustainably with the resources we have at our disposal so as to build homes, grow food gardens, develop education systems that are relevant to our present situation as we move forward to developing technology that enhances our direction into a future that looks to sustainability and resourcefulness from our present predicament instead of trying to patch up a sinking ship with outdated economic policy that benefits the few and suppresses the masses. That we develop into a population that is self sustaining, skilled and educated from the ground upwards. South Africa is poised at present to take itself into a future that shall make it sustainable and relevant. Our solution may be to keep our first economy functioning by developing and growing a second economy. Together with our first and second economy we develop our future economy. To work from the ground upwards, to develop and build a second economy that is well planned and integrated into South Africa and other countries that we partner with to take care of the need for housing, the high levels of unemployment, the need for job creation, skills development, education and the building of a sustainable society. Building a second economy within South Africa through the development of The Industrial Hemp Industry where we develop this resource rich industry to make rural communities vibrant and viable by developing communities that grow from the raw material through to the stages of refinement, production and development of the wide range of product generated from Industrial Hemp. We can develop the financial resources to build and grow this second economy, allowing us to build homes, create mass employment and develop a new integrated social structure within South Africa. Growing The Industrial Hemp Industry and developing the related products close to communities to empower through the development and growth of knowledge, skills and education along with the relevant experience that is gained as more products are developed from cultivating the raw material to fuel, fabrics, paper, building materials, plastics, cosmetics, food sources, clothing manufacture, linen, automotive industry and parts, research, education and development. To structure these communities in such a way that movement can be created, so that individuals and groups are able to move from one community to another, so as to learn, understand and develop their interests in the range of aspects

that this industry allows for. Thereby developing a library of research, knowledge, skill and education that can be added upon and exchanged with other countries in student exchange programs where this industry is being developed elsewhere in the world. So that our result by 2030 is a newly integrated social structure, where we have communities of people living in homes with food gardens that they have partaken in the building and growing of, we have developed smart sustainable energy systems and integrated communication and education networks. We have universities, schools and skill centres, both in rural and urban environments with energy, communication and education systems that are smart, sustainable and cost effective. We have a resource in Industrial Hemp. Industrial Hemp was made illegal in South Africa by colonial Britain as early as 1910. There would have been an abundance of Hemp growing in South Africa at the time and well before 1910. Interestingly 1910 also saw the establishment of the first Kibbutz on the shores of the Sea of Galilee. These first communal societies turned the desert into arable land for agriculture, over time these communities developed to support three to four generations and today these communities are producing industry. This is what progressed over the last one hundred years and as a model can give us a guide for the development of a socio-economic plan for overcoming our housing and unemployment situation in South Africa . With an existing model we can look at how to progress and develop this model to enable us to develop an additional resource industry such as Industrial Hemp and integrate this into a new social structure adapted for South Africa. That we take care of the basic needs from the ground upwards at a collective level. Incorporate into this education and the development of skills, so that over the next twenty years part of our focus is the development of a new resource, the building of homes and food gardens, where we integrate new technology such as solar, wind and water power. Introduce this into our schooling and develop upon it, into higher education and skills development. As the next generation leave school they represent a diagnostic as to where they shall be in twenty years time. The generation starting school next year are a diagnostic as where we want to see them in twenty years time. The children born today are a diagnostic of where they shall be in twenty years time. As much as we need to develop with the world we also need to see that we are a country that is developing and it is not that we need to develop into a place that can be capitalised on. We need to remember how we grow food and how we build homes how to make fabric and house hold items. Yes we have developed on an industrial level yet we do not want to reach a point where we have forgotten our basic knowledge of sustainability. We have access to a vast volume of information and knowledge, that with our technology we are able to

develop through electronic mediums. We are able to build knowledge, information, education and research platforms, where we devel op and encourage self development, sustainability and subsistence at a collective level where people are educated, develop skills and trades, comm unities where people have homes and grow food, where children are cared for and nurtured, where the elderly are looked after and partake in the functioning of the community. Part of our society is first world and part of our society has the potential to become more than just developed, we can through our first world and second world economy, grow South Africa into a direction of a future economy that is rural and vibrant. That is urban and secure. That is part modern metropolis and richly rural, that we are able to take ourselves out of trying to build ourselves into what the rest of the world and our selves think we should be. We need to become aware that we are unique and we have the right and freedom to create build and grow ourselves into an example of unity and excellence that is so uniquely creative to a true new South Africa. We need to remember our diversity and not think that a first world model is the only model we can become. We can develop top level technology from our first economy that aids us in or second economy and we create products and goods from our second economy that bring an aesthetic into our first economy that can be found nowhere in the world. That our focus is on growing and developing the diversity that we have, to bring all of it into a state of beauty and fullness, that sustains us and the Earth. That tourism industry thrives in the diversity of what we are. We can build from any system we have seen and blend them into our own unique form so that they are sustaining on a myriad of levels. We need to open our focus and work our media, communication networks, entertainment and education systems in such a way that we collectively develop a motion in this country, that can open our viewpoint into a larger picture of the diversity we can creatively become, instead of us all be so focused on wanting to be and look the same, so that we break out of that mould of uniformity and allow ourselves to become enriched by our diversity. That we may truly become a n African Renaissance Aquarian picture with a future, that is inspiring and creative and worth building. It is here that we are going to need to look at how we structure, develop and plan these communities to gain a better socio-economic standing than just capitalising on them. Allowing these communities to collaborate with each other and South Africa as a whole, as a means of generating resources, products, skills and knowledge.

Within education and where it has come from in South Africa we need to look at mental aptitudes, creative and intellectual interest that allows learners more self expression. We are often so focused on the grade that we forget to develop the interest. Once we have found where the interest is the grade shall find itself. When we do something because we have to, we get a different outcome to when we do something because we want to. Once we have found where the interest is, we then start developing the skill. Once we have developed the skill we look at higher education. When we do something we love doing we get a different outcome to when we do that same something out of fear for not doing it. Much of our education perpetuated itself back into a system that was developed to keep that same system functioning, one that developed the masses to support the few. So start with basic education to develop numeracy, literacy and creative self expression, find where the interest is and develop the skills and then move into higher education. Creating a way where we constantly find where the interest is, developing the skills and then move into higher education. That we develop our broadcasting, communication and internet platforms to assist us in growing a culture that is skilled educated and motivated to become innovative change makers of the future. We partner with other countries that are looking to similar solutions to their socio-economic situation: Brazil, India, China, Russia and many other countries, to develop a sustainable fuel source and other resources that benefit from large scale growing and development, where we are able to recognise true partnerships for a sustainable future within Africa and the world. That as a new social structure develops out of South Africa a new financial structure develops out of South America, one that is ethical and sustainable. We Can build 40 000 000 homes in twenty years, all with water and power, the needed infrastructure and facilities that make living appropriate and enjoyable, liberating and sustainable. Imagine that for an accomplishment. Countries that are already growing Industrial Hemp: AUSTRALIA, AUSTRIA, CANADA, CHILE, CHINA, DENMARK, EGYPT, FINLAND, FRANCE, GERMANY, GREAT BRITAIN, HUNGARY, INDIA, ITALY, JAPAN, KOREA, NETHERLANDS, NEW ZEALAND, POLAND, PORTUGAL, ROMANIA, RUSSIA, SLOVENIA, SPAIN, SWITZERLAND, THAILAND, TURKEY and UKRAINE. It has become necessary for South Africa to look at the direction it is taking into the future. That it is for us to be a part of the leadership that can take us, as a world people, into a sustainable and viable future, that within the southern

hemisphere we are a collective of countries that are able to make the changes that allow for us to exist by peaceful means and coexistence upon the plan et.
