How is the problem affecting <Host Institution> or Microfinance as an industry? o Example: Lack of knowledge about microfinance leads to an inability for us to grow and increase our outreach to the poor. Lack of information can also lead to miscommunications about our work. Research is at the base of our programs but if our limited staff has to allocate most of their time to basic research; they do not have time to focus on other needs. How does this project address the problem stated above? o Examples: Creating a marketing strategy to expand outreach; Delegating research/ due diligence needs to an outside source; Recruiting an expert from a particular field to proved technical assistance in a region that lacks access to their skill set.

Project Description and Objectives 1-2 clear and concise sentences describing the project (i.e. The volunteer will travel with the social performance team at Grameen Foundation to 2 Microfinance institutions).
