Introduction
In a Rajkot city, people are crazy for hotels. So many luxurious hotels are there. The Hotel Harmony is one of the most prestigious hotels of the city. It is a three*** hotel of Rajkot. It is a hotel as well as restaurant. I being a citizen of Rajkot like this hotel for its every dish which served with welcome drink. In a Hotel Harmony, prestigious staff and experienced persons are available.

History

The name of the organization is Hotel Harmony and property name is Harmony Pvt. Ltd.

This organization was started in 2002. It is a private limited company. The chairman and MD are Mr. Bhaudip Vala and Ram Mongrani.

FORM OF BUSINESS
Business or industry is divided in three sectors. On the basis of ownership. In ownership there is a part private sector. In private sector there is a joint stock company. They divided in two parts: 1. PUBLIC LIMITED COMPANY 2. PRIVATE LIMITED COMAPNY

SIZE OF UNIT
There are three parts on the basis of size. Small Scale Industry: All the industrial unit whose capital investment on plant and machinery is up to Rs. 3 crores is known as Small Scale Industry.

Medium Scale Industry: All the industrial unit with the capital investment of more than Rs. 3 crores and up to about Rs. 100 crores are classified as Medium Scale Industry. Large Scale Industry: All the industrial unit with the capital investment of more than Rs. 100 crores are known as Large Scale Unit.

The Hotel Harmony is a Medium Scale Unit.

The entire reputation of hotel depends on food and service provided by it. So hotels handle the services carefully. Here, in the Harmony service department is also handle carefully.

Marketing is process of planning and executing the conception pricing promotion and distribution of ideas, goods and services to create exchange that satisfy individual and organizational goals. Generally in small or medium scale unit the function of marketing is carried out by the owners of business or marketing manager.

General marketing in hotel the harmony is done through newspaper, letters, personnel approach, internet etc.

SALES PROMOTION

It is that kind of marketing activity that increases sales volume. Today sales promotion is a necessary and not merely a luxury or a fashion. To facilitate sales promotion of company, some consumer service should be taken care of. Hotel the harmony also takes such care. It gives credit facilities to its regular customer in which a part payment is to be paid in cash and outstanding can be paid within given period time. It depends on situation.

SERVICE

For the purpose of good marketing hotel the harmony offers sales services like 24 hours, room service, safe deposit vaults, doctor on call and free transfer to the destination to make consumer stay comfortable.

PRICING POLICY
Pricing policy means the company adopts its pricing method on it decides the price of its product taking in consideration. Price involves all cost of production and profit margin. Every company is required to decide or adopt

the pricing method. Pricing policy of hotel the harmony is depend on cost of food and other room services cost of maintenance of hotel building and staff. As per as hotel the harmony concerned they are having fixed of rooms.

INTRODUCTION
In all business concern there is one common element i.e. human resource work force of an organization is one of the most important part inputs of components. It is rightly said that people are single most important assests. Management function is becoming increasing specialized.

Personnel functions are particularly interested in personnel relationship and interaction of employees human relationship.

NO. OF EMPLOYEES
Hotel the Harmony has about 200 employees in its staff. The working hours for them are 8hours then after shift changes. There is no of day in a weekend and employee should work also in festivals.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


Training is an organized procedure for increasing the knowledge and skill of employees for better performance on current job and prepares them for and interested job.

Development is a relative process. It concerns not only those activities which improve job performance but also which ring growth of personality helps an individual growth towards maturity and actualization of their potential capacity. In hotel Harmony, they train their employees for their service. They train their both old employees and new employees internally and externally. They also train them for any situation, the hotel suffer. i.e. fire-fighting.

WAGES AND SALARY


Wages are payment made to the employees as compensation for organization. Although wages includes salary yet slight difference is there in wages and salary. Wages has directly relationship with production while salary on the other hand is remuneration paid to clerical managerial supervisory staff. The main objective of such wages and salary

administration is to control the cost to establish affairs and equitable remuneration to all. Wages and salary in hotel the Harmony are provided according to Government Act. They give salary on monthly basis.

RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION


Well qualified and skilled work force can enable the company to climb ladders of success. It is the primary duty of personnel department to procure the right person for right job from right source at right cost. In the hotel Harmony, recruitment is done by giving advertisement in news paper and internet. Then HR manager and general manager select them.

PERSONNEL RECORDS
Personnel records mean history of employees. Each and every organization has to maintain a systematic record of its information about personnel regarding their job, recruitment, selection, demotion, transfer, promotion, test-score, periodical appraisal, wages-salary, pensions, P.F., employee services and benefits safety provisions, labour disputes etc.

Hotel the Harmony maintains information about its employees like address proof, past records like previous job, attendance, records, salary master register etc. They maintain all these records by using file system in computer.

FUTURE PLANS

FUTURE PLANS
Future is uncertain. But in business, future plan is must. There is a proverb in the root of business, or even in every field, where there is a will, there is a way because life without will is like a body without soul. Hotel the Harmony has also a aim or future plan to establish more and more hotels in developed cities as Ahmedabad and Vadodara.

Strength:The main strength of the Harmony is unique services provided by them. Its goodwill is also its best strength. They have the loyalty of employees, loyalty of customers and latest technology.

Weakness:The one and only weakness of hotel Harmony is that the local staff do not work in hotel.

Opportunity:The main opportunity every business are festivals. Hotel the Harmony utilizes the opportunities very nicely.

Threats:Hotel the Harmony is basically a restaurant. So, it always has to keep a watch on quality of food and also on other services.

CONCLUSION
Situated at the commercial hub are of city, this hotel is one of the best hotel of Rajkot. The quality of food, quality of services provided over here can be kept in the best category. The cooperation of its owners and staff members is incomparable. Hotel the Harmony worth to be given a title of a 3 stars hotel and may be in future it may become a five stars. It has created its own place on hotel business.

SUGGESTION
As a student, I am yet too young to give any suggestion to suggestions to such a big unit. They are running hotel the Harmony in the best possible manner. But the only thing catches mind is the structure of building. The hotel has their best facility among every hotels of Rajkot but all these are not visible from outside, so that might be hurdle in attracting the customers.
