PRODUCT DESCRIPTION High density multipurpose stone wool slab with excellent thermal and acoustic performance. APPLICATIONS Rockwool Airrock HD (HD = High Density, high bulk density) should be primarily used as acoustical inserts of assembled gypsum plasterboard partition walls that comply with demanding acoustical specifications. Application as acoustical / thermal insulation at upper planes of enclosed (unperforated) hung ceilings also produces good results. Its use is also recommended for structures, such as ventilated facades on high buildings, where mineral wool gets into direct contact with flowing air. Product is also available with glass fleece coating on one or both sides, especially when installed into acoustic system solutions or ventilated facades. PROPERTIES OF ROCKWOOL MINERAL WOOL Rockwool Airrock HD is an excellent thermal insulator. It is not flammable when exposed to open flame and does not generate smoke nor burning droplets. It helps to prevent the spread of fire. Rockwool Airrock HD has very good sound absorption properties through its increased density and helps to improve acoustic inside rooms, when installed into various acoustic system solutions. Rockwool Airrock HD slabs do not shrink or expand while exposed to heat. They are water repellent through the whole section and at the same time diffusion open for the vapor transmission. PACKAGING Rockwool Airrock HD slabs are wrapped in PE shrink foil with Rockwool logo printed on and are delivered in packs and on pallets. Basic product data is printed on the label.
