SWOT Analysis of OWM


Strengths
Extensive experience of the promoters of OWM. Many persons are working here for more than 50 years. Strong dealers network and mutual relationship with them. Certification of Wool Mark and ISO 9002 OWM has its brand image and they can easily arrange the finance for the operations of the company.

Weaknesses
OWM is dependent upon foreign producers for raw material. Risk in relation to out sourcing of cotton segment of the MONTE CARLO products.

Opportunity

Manufacturing of kids garments. Opening more numbers of outlets.

Threats
Mushrooming and upcoming of small hosiery industries in Ludhiana Company is facing threats from fake competitor like Oswal Woollen Mela etc. It has to depend upon imported wool and supply of raw material is affected by the climates of supplier countries.

Financial Statement
Financial statements are the outcome of summarizing process of accounting. Statements are prepared as an end result of financial accounting and are major source of financial information of an enterprise. Financial statement serve as the basis of decision making by management as well as other outsider who are interested in affair of the firm.

To analyze financial position of the company. To analyze financial performance of the company.

Sources of Data Primary Data Consulting various personnel in finance department. Secondary Data Journals, Websites, Companys annual report, CMA Data. Methodological Assumptions For calculation of Debtors turnover ratio, all sales are taken as credit sale. For calculation of Creditors turnover ratio, all purchases are taken as credit purchase.
