Seeking entry level position in mechanical engineering that will allow me to develop my skills while contributing to the company. Initiative -Owned and operated lobster vessel. Maintained and performed repairs on vessel and equipment. Used income to pay college expenses. Tenacity -Worked over sixty hours a week during the summer both as a fisherman and construction laborer, Welding experience -Completed EMCC course on background in welding. Performed welds with TIG, MIG and stick welders. Used acetylene gas and fusion arc torches. Drawing and Analysis -Used CAD programs, including Solidedge, Solidworks, and CAM programs for both CNC vertical mill and lathe. Performed kinematic and numerical analysis of mechanical levers and gears using functions in Solidedge. Design and Fabrication -Designed and machined small table vice. Used lathe and vertical mill to perform machining. Performed modifications on the vice to increase design efficiency.
