A. Course Description and General Objective This is a 3 unit course for freshmen who passed the English Placement Test which aims to develop their study and thinking skills through critical reading that will prepare them to be glocally productive citizens. B. Specific Course Objectives The students of this course are expected to: 1. Understand the various study skills and techniques in critical thinking 2. Appreciate the essence of study skills and critical thinking in making themselves productive citizens 3. B. Specific Course Objectives The students of this course are expected to: 1. Understand the linguistic requirements used in communication. 2. Appreciate the importance of Grammar in making speaking and writing more effective. 3. Develop and practice basic speaking and writing skills using English as a medium of communication. C.
