Hidden symbols
The logotype has two sophisticated details, both symbolizing The city that loves you: The last i in Tbilisi can be seen as a person shaking hands with the s in Tbilisi. Hidden between the letters s and i, is the shape of a heart. An interesting detail that not everyone will notice at first glance. But when seeing it you will feel slightly amused.

The Tagline
Tbilisis motto The city that loves you is communicated through the logotypes tagline. This is a part of the logotype and can only be removed at circumstances when it cannot be there for technical reasons, i.e.: When the only possible logo size is so small that the tagline can not be read. When the tagline cannot be used for technical reasons, for instance if the logotype is to be embroidered in a small size.
25 mm
The smallest recommended size for using the tagline logo versions, is 25 mm wide. If the circumstances demand a smaller size, the versions without tagline may be used.
Removing the tagline is OK, only if it cannot be there for technical or readability reasons.

Logotype versions
The logotype comes in five different color alternatives: The CMYK (four-colour print) version (top left) which is used everywhere when it is possible. This is the best carrier of the Tbilisi brand. The CMYK logotype only consists of two CMYK colors (cyan and black), so it is also suitable for two-color printing. The greyscale version (second from top) is used when the current media has no color possibilities. For instance on fax messages and in black-and-white newspaper ads. The black version (middle) is used when raster printing cannot be performed. Can be used as final art for embroidering, etching in glass etc. The solid blue version (second from bottom) should be used only when raster printing cannot be performed. For instance when embroidering or painting on a wall where the paint method does not allow the gradient. In print, the blue color is Pantone 307 and when painted, it is NCS S 3060-B. The white version (bottom) should be used on dark or blue backgrounds. Read more on using the logotypes on different backgrounds on the following page.
