to new life through your grace and mercy, that our thoughts may ascend to heaven and our actions may descend to this earth with love and justice. Amen. WORDS OF ASSURANCE Leader: God not only knows us but calls us Christs own. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. We need not fall back into fear, for we are all Gods children, invited to shine like the sun in the kingdom of heaven! People: Praise be to God!

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. OFFERING OUR GIFTS AND PRAYERS A SONG OF PRAISE TO GOD UMH #94

Lay your hand upon us, that we may love you and your creation more perfectly each day. Raise us

on Friday, and 9:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sign up TODAY! The directory will not be complete without you! Whether you are a member or not, we want to include everyone who participates at Berkeley. So if youre reading this please sign up! For more information contact Beth Collins at beth.collins@earthlink.net Every Sunday its important to wear your name tag. We expect new people every Sunday; its hospitable to help them know who you are. It can also help those people who know your face but not your name. (We hear that a lotI can remember faces but not names.) Its easier to greet someone you may not yet know if you can call them by name, and they can do the same. Please take a minute to pick your name tag up when entering the sanctuary, and leave it behind when departing. If youve lost yours, let Tara know and we will gladly make you another one. If youre a regular attender but not a member, just ask and we will make you a name tag. Rev. Jeanne Devine will be on vacation July 22 August 5. In case of a pastoral care emergency, you may contact Rev. Linda Kessie, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, through the Grace church office (442-5944) or the Berkeley church office (447-6633).
