Balfour Beatty Rail has been involved in some of the most challenging electrification projects in the world. It has a skill-base that has been building since the early 1900s. The company has an unrivalled in-house design capability for power supply systems and current collection. It has a number of its own overhead line designs with speeds of up to 350 kph for intercity lines, and conductor rail systems as well as overhead designs for mass transit and light rail customers. Balfour Beatty Rail offers solutions to enhance the aesthetics of our designs for use in cities. In-house virtual reality engineering techniques communicate ideas and concepts for stakeholder discussion.
