Award of ICAR Senior Research Fellowship (ICAR-SRF(PGS)) is subject to the following conditions:
(1). ICAR-SRF (PGS) is effective from the date of registering in the Ph.D. programme in any Agricultural University (SAUs, ICAR DUs, CAU or CUs having faculty of agriculture) or effective from the date ICAR-SRF (PGS) is awarded, whichever is later. (2). The award of ICAR-SRF (PGS) can be availed within a period of one year from the date of issue of this award letter for seeking admission in Ph.D. programme in the qualifying subject at any Agricultural University (AU). It will not be extended in any case. (3). ICAR-SRF (PGS) is awarded subject to the verification of the credentials/certificates by the University/Institute where the candidate is admitted. (4). If already registered as full time Ph.D. scholar, the awardee should not have completed two years on the date of examination. (5). For admission purposes, the eligibility conditions of the Agricultural University providing admission are only applicable. (6). The awardee should join/have joined the Ph.D. programme in a University/Institute other than from where he/she had obtained his Masters Degree. This stipulation is not applicable in case of ICAR deemed to be Universities.

(7). The awardee should join/have joined the Agricultural University where Ph.D. Programme consists of both, the course work and research work.
(8). In case of in-service candidates, the awardee should join/have joined the University/ Institute other than where he/she is working. (9). Extension of ICAR-SRF (PGS) for completing Ph.D. degree beyond three years from the date of registration/ admission will not be granted. (10). The candidate must have passed his Masters degree in the relevant discipline as on the date of the examination.
