Traineeships

One of the development paths for graduates involves entering SAB as a trainee. A traineeship is a 12-18 month programme where entry level employees work on a supervised basis in the specific field that they are qualified in. A typical traineeship programme includes exposure to the SAB business as a whole, as well as specialised training in the field that candidates have been identified for. Traineeships equip entry level employees to learn on a practical and theoretical level and include a variety of courses developed for each specific field. Evaluations are done throughout the traineeship and employees are able to move in the organisation according to their potential and performance. Traineeship opportunities exist in all the fields mentioned on entry-level, management trainee level and executive level.
