Each ECEN350 Lab will have two parts, the pre-lab and the post-lab.

Instructions for Pre-Labs

For pre-labs, you will download the forms posted on the Texas A&M University e-Learning website for the course. You will then complete the pdf form using Adobe Reader and submit the completed form via the appropriate link for the given pre-lab under the Assignments tag on the e-Learning site. Pre-labs are due at the start of the lab session. If the pre-lab is not ready at the start of the lab session, you will not be allowed to attend the lab and late penalty will be applied.

Late policy for pre-labs

Late pre-labs will have 50% of the points deducted for being one working day late. If a prelab is 2 working days late, 100% points will be deducted.

Instructions for Post-Lab

You have to submit a post-lab report that captures your eorts during the in-lab.

3 Instructions for Post-Lab

The post-lab report requirements are as follows: 1. You will download the lab forms posted on the Texas A&M University e-Learning website for the course. 2. Specic questions asked in the lab manual should be answered in the form via Adobe Reader. 3. The completed pdf form will be submitted via the e-Learning website. 4. For labs that have a design component, you must include your source code as a separate le. You will not submit a hard copy. Please note the following: All source code must be commented! Comments should be detailed and understandable, following good coding conventions. A good reference for the coding style expected in this course may be found at the following link. Uncommented code will receive a 0. Your code must be your own and no-one elses! Your code will be algorithmically compared versus others in your class and in previous classes. (See the discussion on plagiarism below.) 5. Other items such as simulator output les requested in the lab manual must be included in the submission. 6. Each laboratory exercise must be completed and demonstrated to your TA before the end of the lab session one week from the labs start date in order to receive credit (e.g. if Lab01 begins on Monday, the lab must be demoed by at the end of next Mondays lab session). The grading procedure for the demo is as follows: Demo Works During Lab: If the demo works during the lab period, call your TA, and he/she will check it and make a note in his grading sheet. You should then save your designs on your own disks before leaving the lab. This is the end of this lab and you will get a complete credit for the demo. You just have to submit the report and source code to your TA. Design Does Not Work/Is Not Complete During Lab: If the design does not work or is not complete by the end of lab, you must make use of the open times for the lab room to complete your design or work from home. Remember your lab demos and reports are due before the end of next weeks lab session. Thus, you can present your work during the next lab session. Please submit your code to TA before coming to the lab session.

4 Late policy for Post-lab

Please note that you are guaranteed a computer and workspace in the lab room only during your lab period. If another lab section is in progress, ask the TA if he/she has any open lab stations. 7. Attendance at your regularly scheduled lab period is not counted or required, although demos will only occur during regularly scheduled lab sessions.

Late policy for Post-lab

All post-labs and demos are due before the end of the next lab session. Late post-labs and/or demos will have 20% of the points deducted for being late up to 1-week. If a postlab and/or demo is late for more than a week then, a grade of 0 will be assigned. Note: make sure you submit your source code to the TA before coming for the demo.

Plagiarism Policy

Plagiarism is dened as taking someone elses work, words, or ideas and using them as ones own without citing their source. Be careful and abstain from copying someone elses work, even if it is from previous semesters. This does not mean that you cannot compare results, on the contrary, is actually encouraged. You may explain your methods to other students, but do not let them copy your work. First time oense plagiarism will result in a 0 for the lab for both students. Future oenses will be brought up with the Aggie Honor System Oce, potentially resulting in an F for the course or worse. Please check the following mark to indicate you have read all the material above. .
