R.8403 SchemeofExamination: The Scheme of Examination shall be divided into two components: Internal Assessment and Annual Theory Examination for each subject/paper. Internal Assessment includes Assignments, Seminars, Case Studies, Quizzes, Viva, Open book test, Class Tests etc. For each subject/paper, there is separate passing for Internal Assessmentofminimum35%(14outof40marks)andforAnnualTheoryExamination minimum of 35% (21 out of 60 marks) and overall 35% (35 out of 100 marks) for the subject. ANNUALTHEORYEXAMINATION:ItisdefinedastheexaminationoftheCandidateson thebasisofperformanceintheTheory/writtenexaminations. B.AnnualTheoryExamination60% 60Marks DurationTheseexaminationsshallbeof2Hoursduration. Question Paper Pattern: 4 Compulsory Questions (with internal options) of 15 Marks each(Coveringtheentiresyllabus)asfollows: OneQuestioncarrying15marksforlonganswer. TwoQuestionscarrying15markseachforshortanswer(dividedintoa,bandc) OneQuestion carrying 15 marksfor objective type answers i.e.Multiple Choice,Fill in theBlanks,MatchtheColumns,TrueorFalse(withreasons)etc.forconceptualtesting.. The assessment of Part A i.e. Internal Assessment as mentioned above shall be processedbytheColleges/InstitutionsoftheirCandidatesadmittedfortheT.Y.B.Com. Degree Subject/paper while the University shall conduct the assessment of the Part B i.e.AnnualTheoryExaminationregisteredwiththeUniversity.TheInternalAssessment marks of Candidates appearing for the T.Y.B.Com. Examinations shall be submitted to the University by the respective colleges/ Institutions before the commencement of Annual Theory Examination or as per the schedule prescribed by the University of Mumbai. The Annual Theory Examination shall be conducted by the University. The resultsshallbedeclaredafterprocessingthemarksoftheinternalassessmentandthe marksawardedtotheCandidatesintheAnnualTheoryExamination.Theresultswillbe declaredbytheUniversityofMumbaiandtheStatementofMarksshallbeissuedbythe University. STANDARDOFPASSING. R.8404: The candidate to pass a subject/paper shall have to obtain a minimum of 35% marks in aggregateforeachsubject/paperwherethesubject/paperconsistsofInternalAssessment& AnnualTheoryExamination.Thecandidateshallobtainminimumof35%marks(i.e.14outof 40)intheInternalAssessmentand35%marksinAnnualTheoryExamination(i.e.21Outof60) separately, to pass the subject/paper. A candidate will be said to have passed the subject/paperifthecandidatepassestheInternalAssessment&AnnualTheoryExamination together. R.8405 : CARRY FORWARDS OF MARKS IN CASE OF A CANDIDATE WHO FAILS IN THE INTERNAL ASSESSMENT AND/OR ANNUAL THEORY EXAMINATION IN ONE OR MORE SUBJECTS:

 A Candidate who PASSES in the Internal Examination but FAILS in the Annual Theory Examinationofthesubject/papershallreappearfortheAnnualTheoryExaminationofthat subject/paper.Howeverhis/hermarksoftheInternalExaminationsshallbecarriedoverand he/sheshallbeawardedPassClassonpassing. A Candidate who PASSES in the Annual Theory Examination but FAILS in the Internal Assessment of the subject/paper shall reappear for the Internal Examination of that subject/paper.Howeverhis/hermarksoftheAnnualTheoryExaminationshallbecarriedover andhe/sheshallbeentitledPassClassonpassing. A)ForSubject/paperswithoutpractical. IncaseofaCandidatewhoisreappearingfortheInternalExamination,theexaminationwill consistofoneprojectof40markswhichwillbedividedinto20marksforthedocumentation oftheproject,10marksforthepresentationand10marksforthevivaandtheinteraction. B)ForSubject/paperswithpracticals. IncaseofaCandidatewhoisreappearingfortheInternalExaminationforsubjectswith Practical, the examinations will consist of practical examination of 40 marks which will be divided into 20 marks for the laboratory work, 10 marks for the Viva Examination and 10 marksfortheJournal. *************************
