2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourselves approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the Word of truth. The word encourages us to be diligent in the Word of God and likens us to a workmen. Its so important that we are building our lives continually upon Gods Word. Job said: I have esteemed the words of your mouth (Gods) more necessary than food. Now theres a challenge for us all. Job has basically reminded us that Gods Word comes even before our next meal of importance. If we are going to grow as Christians we must become, on an increasing basis, students of the Word of God. I love the words of C.S Lewis when he talked about having faith and confidence when you study Gods Word. He said its not a question of learning a subject, its about steeping ourselves in a personality. Our primary purpose for reading Gods Word and mediating on it is to meet with Jesus. It is in this place that the process of forming Him within us continues to take place. 2 Timothy 3:16 says All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof and for correction, for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. Lets be a people diligent to make time for the Word of God. Be courageous enough to say no to something that may currently be in the way of you spending time in Gods Word. God wants to speak to you and bring light and life to you. Its all a part of His greater plan that you may truly know Him. He also wants us to know His ways and be prepared for every good work that He has for us. Best Wishes,

two and a half years ago i gave my life to Christ. Before then my life was such a mess. i was insecure and always thought that i had to please everyone. By the time i reached 19 i suffered from an eating disorder and obessive compulsive disorder. i was so scared of living each day in case i let people down. i felt like my best wasnt good enough. Since coming to church God has continued to show me His outrageous love for me. He has shown me that life is fun and vibrant. i know that He is with me through all that i face and i believe for an amazing future. i am now in my second year at Bible College where i have been equipped to navigate life well, as well as learning to go through lifes challenges knowing that God is with me. i have been given opportunities to do things i never thought i could. i am so excited for all that He has for me and i am eager to see where He takes me in the future. i came to Perth to further my Masters Degree and i lived in my own little world. there was nothing to do except study and normal daily life. i didnt even have any australian friends. i always felt like something was missing in my life. Someone then invited me to church and that is when everything changed. Everything was new to me. to me - the modern environment, beautiful songs and friendly people. Equipped was amazing and the best place to practise my English. i dont feel so narrow minded anymore. My eyes have been opened. i am so blessed that i have the chance to become a part of Gods family.

i grew up in church but fell away in my teen years. i knew i was missing something and began searching. i started doing meditation thinking that would help. i then got involved with a girl who was heavily into new age. after that relationship fell apart i knew i was still missing something. i started attending Sunset Coast and soon gave my life to God. i got baptised after completing Equipped and got myself to a connect group. i have started serving in church which has helped me Connect and make friends. My life is improving daily since giving my life to God. i feel like i have a renewed purpose.

i was welcomed with open arms and smiles from people from Sunset Coast who have now become my friends. My life has changed in the most positive way that it gives me so much hope, not just for my own future but also for my family. Since being at church my life has been blessed in so many ways. i am able to give my worries to God and He has helped me through some tough times. My son got Meningitis when he was only seven days old and we were told that he may not recover. this was undoubedly the worst time in our life. through prayer i believe God healed our little boy. He is now thriving and is steps ahead in development for his age.
