Product Overview The airHaul product series is a wireless connectivity solution, designed specifically for Communication Service Providers (CSP) to establish large, scalable and cost effective Radio Access Networks capable of delivering IP based data, voice and video services. The airHaul family of radios create a new benchmark for wireless equipment by leveraging smartBridges Wireless Nexus technology based on the state-of-the-art Near Line of Sight (NrLOS) OFDM radio and advanced networking layer 2/3 capabilities. The airHaul family operates in the Licensed and License free bands from 300 MHz to 6 GHz and support both Point-to-Point (PtP) and Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) configurations. The OFDM technology allows for Near Line of Sight (NrLOS) operation and have high degree of resistance to fading and multi-path delays. The airHaul radios have variable channel width (5/10 and 20 Mhz), high Tx transmit power (30 dBm), superior Rx receive sensitivity to assure high throughput (up to 20 Mbps) and reliable radio links spanning long distances. The built-in advanced networking and management capabilities like OSPF router, RSTP, Voice, Video, Data traffic prioritization, QoS, and full VLAN management ensures distributed routing and redundant paths for multimedia IP traffic to avoid bottlenecks over any part of the radio access network. The built-in OSPF router and Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) allow installation of redundancy in the network. Quality of Service (QoS), traffic prioritization, full VLAN capability and bandwidth management allows for increased Return on Investment with customized Service Level Agreements (SLAs) offerings. These critical capabilities are essential for implementing highly reliable wireless networks for wide varying project deployment needs. All models provide a unified SNMP based remote device management interface to seamlessly integrate with the industry leading NMS solutions. The High Availability feature of the radio continuously self monitors the device and performs an automatic recovery. The purpose built airPoint incorporates electrical overstress protection for outdoor use. It can withstand harsh outdoors operating environments ranging from -49F to 140F (-45C to +60C) and very humid or very dry conditions. The IP65 outdoor rated enclosures give added protection from environmental conditions.
