1.1 Job Roles: HPC Server administrator Skills 1. HPC server Administrator responsible for executing daily service delivery of planning, organizing, evaluating, troubleshooting, installing and tuning of multiple large HPC environment based on AIX, Solaris and Linux operating systems in a centralized data center environment. 2. Strong emphasis and demonstration of administration skills will be evaluated in the following areas: Administration skills with large IBM/AIX ,Sun Solaris and Linux systems 3. Experience in batch queuing systems like Platform LSF 4. Exposure on high speed interconnect like Infiniband Networks 5. knowledge of Parallel and serial calculations running on HPC cluster 6. Practical experience in IBM Network Installation Manager (NIM), HP and Platform Cluster manager, Logical Volume Manager (LVM), NFS, performance monitoring utilities and other core UNIX commands 7. Basic administration skills about CAE applications like Fluent, Ensight Abaqus, Nastran, StarCD/CCM+, MagmaSoft 8. Strong work experience to manage 5000 + compute nodes using Operating system commands, tools as well as shell scripts 9. LPAR configuration administration and experience; 10. Experience with large IBM ESS8xx, DS81xx, DS83xx, EMC Clarion and CX380 units utilizing a multi-tiered storage design; 11. Disaster recovery experience including data replication technologies 12. Patching and scripting skills

13. Strong knowledge of OS fundaments for AIX, Solaris and Linux flavours 14. Experience in SCSI, SSA, LTO and DLT tape drive and automated tape library technologies 15. Solid understanding of disk system concepts (RAID design, LUN creation, data replication) is needed 16. Strong verbal and written communication skills Job Description 1. Monitoring all HPC cluster nodes using monitor tools and maintain maximum uptime 2. Installs, configures, maintains and performs system integration of IBM AIX, Sun Solaris and Linux based operating systems, related utilities and hardware 3. Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting IBM RS6000,SUN and Intel based hardware and software problems 4. Manage users simulations and calculations using batch scheduling tool Platform LSF 5. Troubleshooting of users simulations and calculations running on HPC cluster 6. Provides recommendations for improving the server environment, such as capacity thresholds, security gap, patch levels and hardware recalls 16. Responsible for data center operations 17. Maintain and management of data centres 18. Use call management software and track all the requests from users and systems 19. Testing and ensuring Servers and peripheral devices are ready for hot stand-by 20. Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation. 21.
